What exactly are you basing this on? Have you watched us recently? Or is it because we were League 1 last season?

We have a good squad (as a kean poor away following have seen tonight) we should have battered Blackpool & got what we deserved tonight, do not be surprised if we finish well above you this season, in fact after watching you lot don't be surprised if you tumble straight to League 1. Some of the quotes on here in the last 48 hours have shown some of you do not have a clue about our town & club, hopefully those people will do some research next time. Glasshouses etc. good luck against Barnsley.

1,400+ a kean poor following, give over you pratt. Donny ain't that far but it's a ballache to get to early on a friday evening, have you ever ventured out of your hovel over the M62/M1 on a Fri. I and my mates left work at 3pm to get home then set off to get to that hole only just in time. It seems your victory over a big illustrious club has gone straight to your nut. I agree people are being harsh on Donny they played very well but what we are saying is that in most areas over the pitch we have still have better players than you but they ain;t performing.

You have a manager sacked by Oldham, you were beaten 3-1 at home by a team managed by the awful Paul Ince, you're one of the smallest clubs in the league with one of the smallest budgets, and yeah you were in League 1 last season. Don't get a huff on because people are tipping you for relegation, any smart betting man would.

Yeah and why was it a poor away following? Because it was a Friday night and nobody wants to kean off to south Yorkshire through a traffic nightmare right after they've finished work. If it was Saturday at 3pm it would have been double. Bit of a joke that in your town more people would rather watch horse racing than football. Its a sign of how far we've fallen when we're now in a league than organises games to fit around the horse racing schedule.

Finish well above us, god your funny. And I thought our fans were delusional.

Always liked Donny as they're my second team but gutted with that result tonight. As DRFC said they're a decent side with some tidy players at this level who are heavily disrespected because they aren't exactly fashionable, they weren't as good at home as they were away last year so I did expect a win in this one and to see us lose was a big shock for me. The main difference between the two sides for me is the fact they're happy to be in this division and want to work hard to stay in it. Reading the comments from Bowyer are worrying too they just smell of pure denial which for me is plain stupid. I'm not calling for his head at all after 4 games but something in the team needs to change and hopefully soon.

Good luck to Donny for the season top club with a proper owner.

We'll see come may I suppose, was there 1400 away fans? Didn't look it but if so still poor for a club the size of BRFC (IMO) maybe the unrest at the club puts people off travelling but during our last stint in the championship I don't remember a relegated team from the prem travelling in such low numbers especially given the distance ( the M62 isn't that bad now the speed restrictions have been lifted).

It wasn't horse racing it was jet skiing!!! Strange move though as we held a race meeting at the same time we played Blackpool so not sure why he games couldn't be played tomorrow.

We aren't a big club, Blackburn is a smaller town than Doncaster. We've been incredibly well supported at home in the past as a result of tremendous on-field success and very cheap prices. But our away followings have never been particularly big and at least 5,000 fans are now boycotting due to Venkys. Also, most teams have good away followings the first season after they get relegated from the PL, as did we last season. But we're now in our second season and they will almost certainly now come down. Still think 1,400 isn't bad considering anyone wanting to get to the game on time will have had to take time off work, right in the middle of the holiday season.

This isn't a normal club at the moment though, hence only 1400, which when you think about it, on a Friday night is pretty decent.

You think that's bad, just wait till about half the division come to visit you, including relegated QPR, Reading and Wigan, I assure you, they'll all bring less.

Just back home and up to speed with this board.

Really bad second half after some reasonably tidy play in the first- particularly from dunny.

Dann and kane were hopeless, taylor and judge ineffectual. Rhodes and spurr anonymous. Kean and hanley below par and jason lowe exactly the same as always (utterly abysmal).

I really fear that chairman rao will pull the plug on bowyer if we so much as draw next week!.

I would take some of the comments made about Doncaster with a pinch of salt, mainly an outlet of the short comings of our own side, saying that though the " we should be beating the likes of ....." mentality as not subsided for some despite the deliberate destruction of the club on and off field that as happened over the past three years.

As for support remember the home crowds for last season were "officially "around 13500 so the unAgnewfied number was probably around 10,500 so over a tenth of the home crowd going to a Friday night away match is not that bad.

Anyway good luck for the rest of the season

Just got back , really can't be arsed posting because I would get banned but I've never seen such a pathetic bunch of overpaid losers on my life. No heart , no passion , no commitment and no tactics. Not one player can look in the mirror ! I'd have running up tockholes at 5am tommorow . L2 is a coming boys .

83 miles by road on a Friday night 1400+ that is more than we should have expected, considering our poor start to the season,

and everything the fans have been through in the last 2-3 seasons.

Well done to all who made it !

Thankfully I was working late or would have been as miserable as you lot.

Still miserable though .

Clearly, my attempt at a little bit of humour on this disappointing night is completely lost on you !

Perhaps my tolerance for such humour wasn't at its highest sat on the coach outside the keepmoat, following that shower!

If the Shearer of 1992-96 played for any team in this league they would be promoted as champions.

Firstly, the Shearer of 1992-96 would not have ever played for a team in this league.

Secondly, Alan Shearer is the best forward I've ever seen with my own eyes, but he had a very good striker partner alongside him whilst at Rovers, as well as two excellent wingers supplying crosses. Ripley and Wilcox weren't the biggest names in the early days but they could consistently supply the strikers, something that Dalglish recognized from the very beginning that we needed. And even they were assisted with fullbacks who were good at getting forward and putting a cross in. He also made sure that we had someone to supply a decent pass in midfield, and someone else in midfield to break up play to assist the guy doing the passing forward.

Thirdly, I'm now utterly depressed at remembering how good we used to be and how difficult Venky's have made a simple game. They've set us back a decade.

After putting your heart and soul into watching a club your entire life, it's a disgrace that handsomely paid 'professionals' can't do the same with their performances on the pitch.

We got what we deserved tonight. Nothing.

Just read the 'fluke' comments as well- is Gary Bowyer 10 years old??

True

The fans singing ethu goliwog songs then sang were to @#/? it's unbelievable and followed it up ranting for coffin dodgers to get behind the team

. I never thought I'd be embarrassed at our fans but singing about loving Jesus and cheese crisps ? Like WTF?

As poor a performance as I've ever seen by a Rovers team.

For those that missed the game, it went a little like this.

Sideways - Sideways - Back - Sideways - Back to Kean - Big Boot - Jones/Khumalo/Out of play

Literally no positives to take out of that match. No one can have any pride in their performance.

All against a Doncaster side, who to their credit, worked very hard but had very little quality.

They are an embarassment. I think the team being @#/? is attracting a different type of young fan, they just go to act the knob rather than back the team. If we continue to bobble around the lower divisions and they keep turning up acting like cretins they'll come a cropper at some ground or other that still lives in the dark ages don't you worry.
