Stuart Posted August 28, 2013 Posted August 28, 2013 I've no opinion one way or the other just now. Let's see how he does. Good luck to the boy.
The Rover of Finland Posted August 28, 2013 Posted August 28, 2013 Does he play on wing or behind striker?
AJW Posted August 28, 2013 Posted August 28, 2013 dont think i've ever seen him play , will reserve judgment
roversR4ever Posted August 28, 2013 Posted August 28, 2013 Interesting signing. Fits the pattern of young player lots to prove, experience at championship level. Was good enough to keep his place in the team all of last season when they got into playoffs. No doubt there is ability and potential, but fell out with Pearson it seems. Could be a good signing if Bowyer gets him motivated and confident. Weve got such a young team now.....
John Posted August 28, 2013 Posted August 28, 2013 Seems talented and young, never seen him play mind..
RockinRover Posted August 28, 2013 Posted August 28, 2013 Heard alot about him and seen him play a few times. Very much a Bentley type winger, so hopefully he can really progress into a top player for us.
BooyakaSha Posted August 28, 2013 Posted August 28, 2013 Does he play on wing or behind striker? Winger but can play central mid too.
rovers11 Posted August 28, 2013 Posted August 28, 2013 Top signing. Absolute bargain. Don't know what Leicester are playing at getting rid of him. He may be inconsistent but he's 21 so it's to be expected. He's a match winner and will easily be worth more than £1m in a season or 2. Dare I say Bowyer is actually building a very talented young team.
SoldierMo Posted August 28, 2013 Posted August 28, 2013 Full of youngsters hopfuly has time on his side let them gel and go for promotion nx season
jim mk2 Posted August 28, 2013 Posted August 28, 2013 Would he be able to play in the 'Rochina role?' If you mean a prancing showpony who flatters to deceive and most of the time is as much use as a chocolate fireguard, I would hope Marshall is much better than that.

darrenrover Posted August 28, 2013 Posted August 28, 2013 Just out of interest, has anyone else noticed that all the signings are British? Also there was only one non Brit in last Saturday's starting line up. I wonder if there is any significance or just merely a coincidence.

I doubt there's any significance to the all-brit coincidence, more likely that Bowyer is playing more of his choices than anything.
the original david brent Posted August 28, 2013 Posted August 28, 2013 I'm being pedantic here but there were 2 non Brits in the starting line up on Saturday. Josh king and Alan judge. But I get the point you make.
Baz Posted August 28, 2013 Posted August 28, 2013 He's here to play every week, according to that interview. Has he seen the size of the squad? Know nothing about him, but good luck to the kid.

Dare I say Bowyer is actually building a very talented young team. I agree that Marshall is very good signing. He needs a manager to use his talent and skills. We do have a very talented young team now. Just out of interest, has anyone else noticed that all the signings are British? Also there was only one non Brit in last Saturday's starting line up. I wonder if there is any significance or just merely a coincidence. all signings apart from Songo'o. 11 out of the 12 signings are British. I think Bowyer wants a squad with mostly British background. I also think this is the right way to build a squad for the championship that is very demanded league
Backroom Mike E Posted August 28, 2013 Backroom Posted August 28, 2013 It's a very small thing, but I reckon a near-all-Brit squad would probably work harder and possibly have more experience of the English way of playing?
jim mk2 Posted August 28, 2013 Posted August 28, 2013 It's a very small thing, but I reckon a near-all-Brit squad would probably work harder and possibly have more experience of the English way of playing? Lazy stereotypes. Akin to the 1960s West Indians can only play with the sun on their backs and continental players don't like hard tackles.
john-rover Posted August 28, 2013 Posted August 28, 2013 Think the British signings could be slightly down to Bowyer wanting the team to gel more etc. he mentions this a fair bit in interviews
T.J.Newton Posted August 28, 2013 Posted August 28, 2013 A lot of local(northern) lads in the team as well, as long as they're good players I think its a real bonus that most of the team are speaking the same language and on the same wave length.
