Audax Posted August 29, 2013 Posted August 29, 2013 http://sandowplus.co.uk/Competition/Moss/moss.htm Here is an interesting article on this strongman from early in the last century. Quite a few interesting articles at that website if one is interested in physical fitness and strength. Sergt. Moss also worked with Indian Clubs and wrote a book on them. I do use Indian Clubs as recreation, still not sure what to think of them however, there is a big Indian club swinging club in Sheffield and they are having a big event in September. http://www.indianclubswinging.co.uk/ Paul Taras Wolkowinski is having an "Indian Clubs World Tour" currently going on, he will be in Sheffield and then go to India, he is from Australia. https://www.facebook.com/indianclubs1 (Face book page) and youtube channel: http://www.youtube.com/user/taraswolkowinski?feature=watch One can make their own clubs fairly easily if one ever wants to try it out or find fairly inexpensive clubs around. Those clubs use to be in gyms all over. So, Just posting this, I thought it was interesting.

old darwen blue Posted August 30, 2013 Posted August 30, 2013 I downloaded the PDF and read through it in iBooks. Fascinating find that pal. I always remember Chris Howson at the Darwen weightlifting club telling us that you don't need a lot of fancy equipment to build yourself up. Everyday items will suffice. And let's face it, looking at that blokes pictures it obviously worked for him! EDIT Chris Howson "The Mighty Atom" http://www.cottontown.org/page.cfm?pageid=4031&language=eng
Audax Posted August 30, 2013 Author Posted August 30, 2013 Thanks for the input. I will read it thoroughly, I touch light weights every day but I'm not a weightlifter but the subject is fascinating.
