Oh god that isn't good news at all

Also I apologise for the earlier post I have been informed that my memory of the events is wrong and it started differently and not down to Rovers fans, unless its a different incident as this was an hour or so before kick off.

With Dunny out of the match I would say it makes sense to push Cairney further forward and allow Evans into the starting 11 to play alongside Lowe. It seemed to work well to stamp out any threat from Bolton when that change was made in the 2nd half.

I'd play Williamson instead, if available. Possibly the only leader we have to pick from and we don't want a midfield of kids against our fiercest rivals.

Its a blow surely, then again most on here wanted him gone closed season

We don't need Dunny to beat this shower :tu:

The reliance we still have on Dunn is criminal, when you consider the amount of money we have squandered in the last 3 years.

In some ways yes - but it is also an indication that for all his faults he is still a class player.

Not just the timing of the game but last week was as good as he's played in years

That would be more accurate GAV.

It was ever thus.

I'd play Evans over Williamson. Don't think it's a good idea to throw an injury-prone Williamson into a game where the tackles could potentially be flying in.

Could always bring him on if needs be.

Take your point but Williamson is a leader and of an age that will be critical in such a game. His ability to hold on to the ball and in the air will be valuable in what is to be a good midfield battle.

Wouldn't surprise me if Bowyer puts Judge in the hole behind Rhodes.

I don't think we've seen the best of his creativity yet and I think I read somewhere that he prefers playing off the striker.

Think Dunn was just filling in for rochina so for both now to be injured its a big blow, hopefully Evans can come in and push Cairney forward to support Rhodes.

Just been talking to a mate who points out most bookies have us clear favourites but, in his words, history somehow seems to play a part, it shouldn't but it seems to. Look at our recent records against Hull and Derby - no real reason for them yet there we are.

If I was playing your team under the name of say Leicester I'd fancy us for a narrow win at home - but it isn't Leicester, it's you and fate or the Gods seem determined to conspire against us winning.

As for every other post, point noted - over and out.

Just hang on a minute Longers........There is absolutely no need for you to do that. Just look at the title of this thread, and if one or two of our members don't like it they can do the same and then do one themselves. The sheer cheek and arrogance of some people absolutely astounds me sometimes!!

Replaced, gone, not offered a new deal, put out to pasture, allowed to move on, same thing surely

It's a blow about Dunny. I'd still have him in the changing room and have him travel with the players anyway just for how much I'm sure he'd get the players fired up and he'd be able to stress the importance of the game to players who haven't played in the derby before.

Marshall in the hole and Taylor on the right could also be pretty good

I thought that when I saw Dunny was crocked. Judge seems to always drift inside from what I've seen so far, it could be his time to shine!!

Yes, its a pain in the ass with the oppressive and excessive policing arrangements... BUT THIS IS BURNLEY AWAY!!

As has been said, this should be a must for all Rovers supporters. That we can't find 3,000 to go up the road is down right pathetic.

Frankly, I think a section of 'fans' look for excuses not to attend/support the team on a regular basis these days. I suppose it gives them something to moan about down the pub or on these message boards...

oh shut up

You realise you've replied to my original quote twice, within less than a 24 hour period, right? Oh... you don't, never mind.

See you at the game on Saturday... or maybe not.

Dunny is a massive loss. As well as his individual contribution the thing i noticed in the bolton game was how much he talked to rhodes and others around him and coached the younger ones. Between evans, cairney, taylor, marshall and king we should be able to field a combination of attacking midfielders which can create chances - but we are relying on our young players to show a lot of maturity in a difficult atmosphere
