you make it sound a bit like Royston Vasey

god help us

:D

Yeh. The name Royston Vasey takes me back to a player called Royston Vernon. Now if he were playing for us tomorrow...........

I still think the ref will spoil our day and be instrumental in giving Burnley their first win in 34 years.

I wonder who will get the red card.

Calm down i only mentioned it because that's not the impression we used to get sometimes. Maybe it's a generation thing because at the time we were obviously one of their big rivals and they didn't like it, it was the same in Chorley the resident manc plastics suddenly made a point of targeting Rovers fans. The good thing though about Darwen is there didn't seem many dingles about :)

When we last played Burnley, there was a flag in the DE that said 'Darwen Clarets'.

I know the fella who's flag it is. He doesn't work, claims benefits, has about 7 kids and has an IQ of an 8 year old. I regularly have banter with him but he's a bit short on wit.

Should be a cracking game tomorrow. We have a better team but they have home advantage and, lets face it, they are due a win against us! Think it will probably end up a draw though.

Can't help but feel their best chance to beat us was last season when we had our worst set of players in 20 years.

Losing Dunn is a massive blow. There's various things GB could do in Dunn's absence. He could play Judge, Cairney, King or Marshall in the 'dunn' role. Or he could even give Best a start but it's unlikely.

Williamson or Evans to come in CM if Cairney is pushed forward. Not sure if Cairney is particularly suited to the behind the striker role. He seems best at picking the ball up from the defence and playing the 'tugay' role.

How can people even suggest picking Williamson for this game? I doubt he's anywhere close to match-fit and people want to throw him into a local derby? For me, it has to be either Lowe/Evans with Cairney in the no.10 role, or Lowe/Cairney with Judge in the no. 10 role.

Toppers, you know exactly how to do it don't you.

Including a youtube video on a post? You always do stuff like that.

And for the record, I completely agree. Williamson must be so short of match fitness. No point risking him.

I agree. I wouldn't play him and I don't think GB will. However, GB is a very big fan of his and he's probably the sort of character you'd want in a derby game so there might be a surprise start for him.

GB was bigging Williamson up today "his experience invaluable" etc and in a young team like ours in a hostile environmnent like TM i agree i think he may start with Cairney And Evans in a 3 man midfield with King And Marshall wide and Rhodes up front on his own , see how the game goes if Williamson is tiring in 2nd Half , and if we need to keep it tight bring Lowe on , if we'e chasing the game bring Taylor or Judge on

He won't drop Lowe. Certainly not in this game. He has played well recently so doesn't deserve to be dropped.

not by me, still banned

Not much of an achievement I'm afraid, half the Burnley support are also banned.

No point adding anything at this stage, let battle commence. Don't give a monkeys about the best man, just hoping Burnley win but either way got a sneaky feeling this could be the best game in a while.

I'll see a few of you hardy souls tomorrow, keep an eye out for me, you can't miss me, I'm the one with just 10 digits (I lost 2 in an industrial accident a few years back)
