Backroom DE. Posted September 14, 2013 Backroom Posted September 14, 2013 Have to consider this a decent result all things considered. A poor performance overall but scraped a point (though admittedly Burnley basically gifted it to us).

Joar Posted September 14, 2013 Posted September 14, 2013 Anyone care to explain the lifesavers? Not I front of the tv Judge throwing his head and body in to stop Burlney players getting to the ball in the box, then cleared it. Didn't block a shot or anything, but the ball was heading towards Burley players inside 10 yards. He pretty much ran across the box to stop a chance
RibbleValleyRover Posted September 14, 2013 Posted September 14, 2013 Happy with the point, no way near happy with the performance. Hit and hope dire hoofball.
yoda Posted September 14, 2013 Posted September 14, 2013 The dingles have a problem when they play us, they are playing 34 years as well and can't seem to get over it! happy days
Tyke87 Posted September 14, 2013 Posted September 14, 2013 who'd have thought the guy who was sent off after coming on 2 minutes earlier would be the hero, absolutely saved us.
moerpho Posted September 14, 2013 Posted September 14, 2013 MotM for Rovers - Williamson. Otherwise just happy we kept the record going and an ok 2nd half. Too bad we concede again but was a great finish by Stanislas. Also good to see us come from behind and nick an albeit comical goal gifted by Bumley. Bring on Leicester on tuesday! COYB!
SoldierMo Posted September 14, 2013 Posted September 14, 2013 Overall think a decent performance all things considered
jim mk2 Posted September 14, 2013 Posted September 14, 2013 Kane should get a bollocking from Bowyer for the foul-up that led to Williamson's sending off. Point not entirely deserved but we'll take it.
G Somerset Rover Posted September 14, 2013 Posted September 14, 2013 Williamson pulled a Suarez there. Good fella. My point pre-game about needing a new number ten without Dunn and Rochina rang true IMO. Cairney had a good game but he still left Rhodes too isolated and we didn't look half the team without Dunn pulling the strings there. Hopefully we can get that young Utd lad, or similiar, in on loan. How terrible was Marshall? Edit - that Januzaj is playing for Utd today. Next.
SoldierMo Posted September 14, 2013 Posted September 14, 2013 Another point to note Burnley dint really have many chances all credit to the defending
booth Posted September 14, 2013 Posted September 14, 2013 Just shows how far Venkys have taken us apart. Struggling against a bargain basement team and manager.
doctorryan Posted September 14, 2013 Posted September 14, 2013 Thank God!!! Jesus, Lowe was awful. ........And when are we going to see that "Beware the off-ides of March" shirt on the site's shop?
booth Posted September 14, 2013 Posted September 14, 2013 Kane should get a bollocking from Bowyer for the foul-up that led to Williamson's sending off. Point not entirely deserved but we'll take it. Thought Kane was sloppy all game.
Uxbridge rover Posted September 14, 2013 Posted September 14, 2013 I don't think I've laughed out loud as much as I did when our goal went in. Really enjoyed the game although it was a poor performance from us. Williamson, legend of 13 !!!

Cairney had a good game but he still left Rhodes too isolated and we didn't look half the team without Dunn pulling the strings there. Hopefully we can get that young Utd lad, or similiar, in on loan. This was definitely the most glaring issue with our play. A lot of industry but zero creativity. King can zip all over the pitch but doesn't really have much intelligence so tends to drift into useless situations and lose the ball. He needs somebody like a Dunn or Rochina to slip him in behind defences. Cairney's a good player but again, despite possessing undoubted quality it's much more industry than creativity.
jim mk2 Posted September 14, 2013 Posted September 14, 2013 Thought Kane was sloppy all game. Two minutes before the sending-off he mucked up a backpass to Kean. He needs to concentrate better and have fewer touches. .
yoda Posted September 14, 2013 Posted September 14, 2013 record still in place, more good things to come from GB and the team in the future, Its looking promising
jim mk2 Posted September 14, 2013 Posted September 14, 2013 On that showing we won't get anywhere near promotion. We're too young and inexperienced.
davulsukur Posted September 14, 2013 Posted September 14, 2013 Cheers for the explanations. Willo's experience coming to the rescue. Feel for the lad though, first appearance for the season and now misses the next 3. Hat goes off to him though.
Mattie456 Posted September 14, 2013 Posted September 14, 2013 Williamson took a red , he hates Burnley!!
SoldierMo Posted September 14, 2013 Posted September 14, 2013 Tink the young squad will take alot moreee from this
Backroom Tom Posted September 14, 2013 Backroom Posted September 14, 2013 Burnley fans must feel like they will never do it We had an unreal amount of corners today and didnt take our chances Another day we win that comfy, but on a different day we lose so overall a point isn't drastic
doctorryan Posted September 14, 2013 Posted September 14, 2013 Williamson took a red , he hates Burnley!! There's another T-shirt idea.
booth Posted September 14, 2013 Posted September 14, 2013 There's no way we are getting anywhere near promotion. Very easy to get carried away with keeping the record over burnley, but this season, no. Not unless we manage to get a decent loanee to fill in for Dunn/Rochina in which case we may sneak the play offs.
