RE: The performance. An away day at the Dingledome. It was never going to be pretty, was it?

According to the stats, Burnley edged possession but shots wise it was evens stevens, although we had over half as many corners as they did. All in all, a draw sounds like a fair result, and the record lives on. There's a looooong way to go in this season before anyone can start talking about promotion either way.

There's no way we are getting anywhere near promotion. Very easy to get carried away with keeping the record over burnley, but this season, no. Not unless we manage to get a decent loanee to fill in for Dunn/Rochina in which case we may sneak the play offs.

It's impossible to say at this stage of the season.

The team are young and still gelling.

Could easily go either way, but to write us off now, after a handful of games, is complete madness.

This was definitely the most glaring issue with our play. A lot of industry but zero creativity. King can zip all over the pitch but doesn't really have much intelligence so tends to drift into useless situations and lose the ball. He needs somebody like a Dunn or Rochina to slip him in behind defences. Cairney's a good player but again, despite possessing undoubted quality it's much more industry than creativity.

Completely agree. King went back to being his usual frustrating self today. As you say he runs almost blind sometimes, while his right leg takes longer than a clock to wind up when he's thinking about having a pop at goal.

Someone to play in the hole in Rochina and Dunn's absence added to a target man (for a plan B))nd I don't think we'd be a million miles from the playoffs.

As for Ben Marshall. My God, I'm not silly enough to write a man off after two games but he's been beyond anonymous so far. Almost as if he's scared of the ball.

Hahaha we really do have a hoodoo over Burnley. They just about deserved to win that but cocked it up yet again.

Really missed Dunn/Rochina today, the link play was very poor. Marshall, Kane and Kean were very poor.

They were more energetic and pressed higher up the pitch that us. They do lack a lot of quality though and there games is based on pumping long balls up to Vokes.

Next door Dingle fan who went to the game just phoned, gutted! I think they collectively wet themselves when they scored.

Nothing else Williamson could have done, especially at the late stage in the match. JR interviewed and no idea how talented his shin is!

Enjoy the rest of the weekend now!

We aren't getting promoted this season with the present squad, I just can't see it. Course that could change with a decent loanee and further strengthening in Jan.

Now I'm off to put my underpants on my head and put a couple of pencils up my nose.

Lee Williamson

:tu: THE WHOLE OF BLACKBURN SALUTES YOU SON :tu:

Spot-on.

We need to let the lad know what he's done for us.

Some lily livered fans will point out that all he did was cheat but he kept what little pride we have nowadays intact.

Lee Williamson's a football genius
