tomphil Posted January 18, 2014 Posted January 18, 2014 Very strange, very ugly man. Pin up material to Burnley lasses then
Jimmy612 Posted January 18, 2014 Posted January 18, 2014 Pin up material to Burnley lasses then Tony Livesey 2014 calendar sales have broken all records in just one small geographic area in the UK. Whilst One Direction and Robert Pattinson calendars were popular choices up and down the country, figures in Burnely suggest Livesey is the heartthrob of the town, with Alistair Campbell and Owen Coyle a close second and third respectively.
ABBEY Posted January 18, 2014 Posted January 18, 2014 Very strange, very ugly man. longers or knuckle dragging livesy?
longsiders1882 Posted January 19, 2014 Posted January 19, 2014 In other news apparently the number 1 and 2 best selling calendars in Blackburn this year were trigger and red rum :-)
Gav Posted January 19, 2014 Posted January 19, 2014 In other news apparently the number 1 and 2 best selling calendars in Blackburn this year were trigger and red rum :-) Burnley man caught with pornographic images of horses (I'll not post the link)You should get a few printed up, they'll go down a treat in the land that time forgot also by the sounds of things.
SIMON GARNERS 194 Posted January 19, 2014 Posted January 19, 2014 The 'Cotton Mill Derby ' has lost some of its novelty now and most of that is down to the games on the day....absolute crap! Everything about the occasion is hyperbole.
tomphil Posted January 19, 2014 Posted January 19, 2014 IF we are both there or thereabouts challenging for something then it could be an interesting one for Football reasons for once. With it being on the box i just pray the club exercise some common sense and do some cheap tickets. Get a decent crowd in again.

With it being on the box i just pray the club exercise some common sense and do some cheap tickets. Get a decent crowd in again. Hopefully not cheap tickets for that lot. I'm sure they charged us £32 for the game at their place to watch the game in a death trap of a stand.

I'm sure they charged us £32 for the game at their place to watch the game in a death trap of a stand. Goes without saying lol Although i don't think it's allowed but we may be looking at 10/11 k scattered around twenty five thousand home seats and that's just plain awful. I've a gut feeling they'll sell whatever they are given this time so it'll be even worse. Any club officials reading this please take note
ABBEY Posted January 19, 2014 Posted January 19, 2014 Hopefully not cheap tickets for that lot. I'm sure they charged us £32 for the game at their place to watch the game in a death trap of a stand. 32 quid for a shitpit that belongs in the 20's .
Ben-2000 Posted January 19, 2014 Posted January 19, 2014 They may well take advantage of one of their 'local promotion' initiatives which enable the club to charge less than what the away fans pay for equivalent seats. They are allowed to do this twice per season and was already done for the Leeds Fixture. For Leeds, they charged home fans Cat A prices in all area's, where-as Leeds paid the Cat A+ price for their tickets. A repeat of this would be the sensible option IMO, especially now that it is on TV.
Stuart Posted January 19, 2014 Posted January 19, 2014 32 quid for a shitpit that belongs in the 20's . Ahead of it's time, you say?

I think this is what will happen they do need to drop prices though as other fans must look at the grounds when its televised and wonder what all the fuss is about
longsiders1882 Posted January 19, 2014 Posted January 19, 2014 Yeah that's the football spirit, rip off the away fans. If they do I hope no away fans bother. Of course they won't, they'll bitch and moan but still pay up.

Of course they won't, they'll bitch and moan but still pay up. I'm sure that Burnley will use the 'local promotion' option over the course of the season, although if you are a STH you may not be aware of it. In relation to your comment about "rip off the away fans", what would you call charging £30+ for a ticket in the Cricket Field Stand?!?! No wonder I opted for a ticket in the Bob Lord stand...
Gav Posted January 19, 2014 Posted January 19, 2014 Yeah that's the football spirit, rip off the away fans.Don't talk out of your arse, you've been doing well of late, don't spoil it.I hear your idiots smashed up the miners (congratulations on that one) and attacked a Wednesday fan in a wheelchair on Saturday, very classy.
longsiders1882 Posted January 19, 2014 Posted January 19, 2014 Talk out of my arse? It's ripping off away fans, non other words for it. If we do it then we are just as bad. Say what you wish but away fans are the most dedicated fans who spend small fortunes following their teams, and are often fairly poorly treated for the privilege. Personally I support the FSF idea of a maximum charge for away fans of £20.00. I'm not convinced we'll sell anywhere near the allocation, add this idea to all the other reasons not to go and it's likely it will be the lowest turnout of Burnley fans at your ground in decades. As for home fans smashed up the miners, truth be told I've no idea what went on so I'm not going to speculate, the police reports are 'thin' but don't seem to back up your version Gav but all manor of rumours are floating around.

If your pushing for automatic promotion and coming as huge favourites to a game you should win. Also if you do go up and/or we go in admin then could be your last visit for a while so there'll be plenty there.
Ben-2000 Posted January 19, 2014 Posted January 19, 2014 It's a discount for home fans that EVERY club in the FL is allowed to do twice a season. Also, I agree with Andy. Burnley fans have very little room to talk after their club charged us £32.00 to occupy that excuse for a stand whilst their own fans paid less in some other area's. For what it's worth I also back the 'Twenty's Plenty' campaign. But until that comes in clubs are right to use the opportunity to give discounts to home fan's without losing revenue from away fans. Let's face it Leeds sold out so it didn't bother them and the reason your lot will stay away is because of the transport and TV.
Gav Posted January 20, 2014 Posted January 20, 2014 Talk out of my arse? It's ripping off away fans, non other words for it. If we do it then we are just as bad. You are talking out of your arse. £32 for us to be housed in a rotting cow shed, think yourself lucky that you're not afforded the same for similar money.
SIMON GARNERS 194 Posted January 20, 2014 Posted January 20, 2014 Don't forget Longers we do put a little surcharge onto the ticket prices as cover for the annual Darwen end toilet demolishing games some of your lot revel in. I know, I know!.. some of ours are just as bad.
longsiders1882 Posted January 20, 2014 Posted January 20, 2014 Another stupid exercise, smashing up the toilets and facilities - how stupid do you have to be not to see that you are just taking money out of your own club? I'm a football fan, not a club director. I think football is better with a full stadium, home and away. I'd charge £20 across the board for our games, pack it to the rafters, but that's just me. When it is on TV then you have the softener of TV revenues as well.
