Gary will be talking to local press later today, hopefully press will be allowed to ask about the Cairney transfer.

I am more concerned about why, for the first time, our owners don't want a meeting with our manager.

The Lancashire Telegraph should put the following very simple questions to Bowyer in his press conference

Has he been to India to speak to the owners?

If not then why not?

What are the owners views on last season?

What are the aims for the coming season?

How many players does he expect to bring in and how many does he expect to leave?

How is he going to fill the voids left by King and Cairney?

Why was Cairney sold to Fulham? Did Bowyer agree to the transfer? Was it done behind his back?

Does he think selling our better players to Fulham is the best way to go about getting promotion?

Why hasn't there been a peep from anyone at the club all summer?

Answers to any of the above are what I am interested In. But instead we will get the spineless Telegraph telling us how wonderful things are because we've kept hold of Chris Taylor.

Information from the club will as usual be minimal and highly restricted.

Simon garner up bowyer's arse now

So you disagree with a guy who cares for the club, has a respected opinion and experience of how football works and therefore he must be a brown noser?

At least quote what you're on about.

Has he been to India to speak to the owners?

No

If not then why not?

Because they never asked

What are the owners views on last season?

Meh!

What are the aims for the coming season?

Meh!

How many players does he expect to bring in and how many does he expect to leave?

None and lots

How is he going to fill the voids left by King and Cairney?

King? Void? Ha ha ha

Why was Cairney sold to Fulham? Did Bowyer agree to the transfer? Was it done behind his back?

No I was told not asked

Does he think selling our better players to Fulham is the best way to go about getting promotion?

Promotion? Oh how naive

Why hasn't there been a peep from anyone at the club all summer?

Hollibobs on agents backhanders

I read the headline, maybe I was to quick to judge, I did read the part about what a great job he's done under the circumstances, which is @#/?, I have a lot of respect for garner but why does he feel the need to jump in, in the bowyer love-in

All perfectly reasonable questions that are on all fans lips. No need for them not to be allowed to be asked nor for those asking not to ask them directly and expect a straight answer. If ever there was a time for some honesty and clarity it's now. If he can't answer some of them he should be straight and say so and why. It's unfair to expect the manager to keep carrying the buck for those behind the scenes but if he's happy to do so then he can't moan when he get's the aggro.

its about time that anybody attending these press confrances that actually cares about the club puts their neck on the line and asks the most pertinant questions and doesn't take 'no commemt' or a smug jokey remark as an answer even if they have been told before hand not to ask about certain things by some pr tosspot

(and sorry but i include kamy in that also if he's attending)

Because most washed up pish head 70s/80s footballers will do or say anything for a few quid(or even just a couple of pints of mild)

So that's in direct contrast to what some people were saying last week - that Bowyer is in control of transfers and that players will only be sold if he agrees to it.

Now it appears he is having players sold behind his back.

Some lines from India are going to be hot tonight.

A few on here believe Bowyer is top dog making all his own choices.

A few on here believe he's just a stooge that nods politely when told what is happening.

For me, a manager should definately be in charge of who arrives and who leaves, otherwise how can they be judged on the results obtained?

If players are sold from under him without his say so or agreement then we are not much further forward than before.

It's still an effing circus and every fan has the right to be disgusted and disillusioned in equal measure.

Thinking about it though - he is unlikely to come out and say - I didn't really see him as a central midfielder and he got fed-up of playing out wide.

I think the fact is we aren't going to hear the whole truth about what goes on in the club - and as such we can only go on what happens.

Really annoyed he wasn't asked about him not having contact with Venkys. I get the impression sometimes that (understandably) Bowyer tries to build his profile, and as such isn't going to rock the boat too much. With the length of time he is staying as manager at a club with the recent history ours has he is doing ok for himself.

Chaddy in particular has been shooting down anyone who says otherwise.

So Bowyer is not in control of the playing staff. Can he take credit for any of the incomings? If this is all true then I would feel sorry for Bowyer. I say would because surely he has a choice as to whether or not to put up with it?

Chaddy still has not answered my friend request. :(

I would be amazed if he picked the team.

And who in that shower places a valuation on a player. The Owners after all know the square root of Sweet FA about football. They may be able to value a Chicken whether its feathered or deep fried - but footballers no way.
