People in general do it quite a lot. Sports people especially do - English cricketers and Dyche himself for instance. There are valid reasons to question and criticise Bowyer. God only knows why some can't seem to focus on those and are seemingly obsessed with this triviality.

Morning Chris. I see you've exited the bed the wrong side....again

Gaz wants a transfer window for managers.

Dyce always reminds me of Les Dawson telling a mother in law joke.

I missed the start of this, and what GB said about Rhodes' price. If he's hinting that the price has gone down and he's taken to the airwaves to flog him it's disgraceful.

I got the impression he meant upwards, they may be talking about Rhodes again later in the show they said.

I think he said the price has change and when Rowett said it was 15 mil Bowyer said it gone its gone then. hinting the price has gone up even higher

LMA has been after these for 3 or 4 years at least. so its nothing new is it

All that would happen is, any club wanting their manager out, would put them on gardening leave and put one of the coaches in charge

until the window reopened.

Well we know Gestede's price came down.

Desperation now creeping into Pune ?

Not according to Kammy, who after, all has proved to be a reliable source.

Tbf to Merce, it was Bowyer himself who spoke on % mark up on Cairney and Gestede.

The numbers he stated implied the Cairney fee was £3.5mill (as thought) and Gestede's at £6mill. Either he made a mistake or the fees are as he stated.

Edit: Who do you trust more - Bowyer or Kammy?

LT today reported £6m flat. Bowyer also said proudly, in same newspaper, it was a 3000% mark-up (£200k to £6,000,000) - £8,000,000 would have been 4000% mark-up and I am sure Bowyer would have been shouting loud and clearly if it had have been that.

Only person / media outlet saying £8m is Kamy through his Pune source.

So who do you think is right ?

  • The LT (Rovers' mouthpiece) and Bowyer or some mysterious source in Pune and we know what rubbish comes out from Pune !

Assuming 'Gaz' is correct about the % mark-up on RG then this confirms a deal worth £6million and not £8million ! If it was £8million, I think you can rest assured 'Gaz' would be peddling 4000% for all he was worth !

As for Dunny, I think a number of us have heard the rumours that he was fit for selection for about 80% of the games but simply not chosen.

IMV, Bowyer is quite some way from being the popular, respected 'gaffer' that local journalists and the Bowyerettes would have us believe.

It tends to be Bowyers detracters that push the popular, buddy gaffer agenda because he uses "y" on the end of names!

And frankly i don't think Dunn has ever been fit for 80% of games in a season so think that one can also be questioned...

Bowyer's quote was 'something like a 3000% mark up', a qualification that has been conveniently overlooked.

Bowyer is largely regarded as being useless unless it comes to his maths. That appears to reliable as it suits the conspiracists and their strange theories.

Seeing as you ask, I'm more than happy with Kamy's info who, whilst I don't always like the news he brings, has proved to be far more reliable than some.

Its quite simple for me,

A number of players gone including a number of Bowyer signings.

Zero promotion push so far and squad now has less quality.

So experiment Bowyer has failed

Not in the eyes of the Matriarch. Operation puppet is proving a success.

IMV, based on what I have seen and heard, I do not think that Bowyer commands the respect of his players that the 'Rovers Fans' would like us to believe.

I very much doubt that Bowyer did that in his head ! Think he would have used a calculator and if it had been £8m he would have worked it out at 4000% !

Very strange for a manager to speak in those terms.

See LT article:

"Gestede completed his switch to Villa, for a flat £6m fee, from Rovers last week".

So, both Bowyer and LT are saying £6m.

£6m down, 4 installments totalling a further £2m has also been reported.

I'll be candid here, I'm useless at maths and, I'm embarrassed to say, would struggle to work out percentages with or without a calculator.

That's just the point, it hasn't been reported anywhere, it was just something somebody told Kamy.

Only place I've seen reported is on here by Kamy !

Not a shred even in the Birmingham press about any extras.

Wheelock must have been told £6m flat fee by Rovers.

I think the 'pressure' has come from Sherwood who has been out and about showering praise on his 'bargain signing' forcing LT to say something.

Kamy can come on and verify if he wants to but my recollection is that he stated that he has a source in Pune who has been very reliable. This source has seen a document which confirms £6m and a further £2m to follow. Furthermore, this £2m is said not to be dependant on appearance, goals, international caps etc but is guaranteed. I accept that this may not have been reported elsewhere, I don't know, but Kamy is very credible.

As an aside, it does seem strange that Mr Wheelock gets all manner of stick on here but now his reporting is gospel.
