Unchill again. That comment about my business interests is unnecessary.

I once offered a guy a lift to an away game on the forum. He asked what car. I told him a bmw. One smarty pants loud mouth couldnt resist and dived on it as I knew they would, calling me out for bragging.

R990 HFV. £400. I don't like cars.

My ice cream van business is flourishing cheers. 44 lemon lollies yesterday.

Think on. I wouldn't want anyone thinking your a loud mouth smarty pants now would we?

That makes literally no sense at all. Don't post angry (I ended up having to apologise after doing so yesterday)

Errr no I wasn't, I clearly said that I did not understand these things and posted what Philip had sent to me and then posted something else that another accountant had said to me.

I like many others backed Gary Bowyer and even more so when we just missed out on promotion in his first season. I was critical of him last season and have already said on many many occasions that last year was a failure and he should have been sacked/resigned, but like many things you forget about that.

Just missed out on promotion.. You're rewriting history we've never been anywhere near promotion with good old gazza in charge in fact we've spent a couple of hours in a play off place in his reign

The whole thing had stopped and the thread could have gone back to the topic.

Until you came along.

Get back to whinging and whining about Gary Bowyer,

this is no place to act out your obsession with Australia.

Have no obsession with a former penal conoly unlike your obsession on here..

I wouldn't dream of constant posting on a forum of a Australian team

So do yourself a favour and get a life

South Australia was freely settled.

I was born in Whalley and lived in and around Accy for 40 years of my life. I saw my 1st Rovers game in 73 so I won't be told not post on here by the likes of you.

Lovely sentiments to our worldwide support by the way.

Now either leave it or pm me.

It really is school playground stuff on here at times.

Possible explanation:

Fee is 6m plus a "possible' 2m based on appearances and success.

As an accountant you are trained in revenue recognition, the only guaranteed revenue from this transaction is 6m so that is what would be recognised, You could provide for some of the additional revenue over the time period it is likely to be paid but until you have some certainty you would not.

That is how every business works.

Now lets get on to what football clubs say to the media. Depending on what your scenario is you sometimes pump up the fee to either look like a big club for forking out big money or show how much money you have made from a player, other times clubs want to play it down as they don't want everyone to know what they paid to ease the pressure on a player.

It is quite possible that those saying 6m and those saying 8m are both right. How about considering that before slinging insults and being adamant yours is the only correct answer?

Fair enough.

Kamy is ultra reliable and if his source says its £8 million with some stagger payments, its more than a probability that this is true. He would not have been so precise if it had been otherwise.

However it does not really matter, we've made a significant profit and Gestede has gone.

We need to draw a line under it and move on

Those who tar Mr Bowyer with the Kean brush need to have a look at yourself.Kean was in it for himself and others kentro.

Mr Bowyer reminds me off tony parkes in many ways nervous in front off the camera.

He has my support not his fault we've got the embargo.

He was fortunate to get the job but has proved he is worth a punt again.

If were in trouble ten games in a rethink maybe needed.

Then you chairman can pick names from the sky.oh malky oh hollaway oh Warburton oh bfs oh ginger mouriniho.

We are were we are because of one thing.Venkys

Spot on!

We finished 8th at the end of the 2013-14 Season 13 points of an automatic promotion spot but miles behind on GD.

We were 10 points of 4th spot!!

Yes we were much closer on points to 5th and 6th and a play off position but again well behind on GD. Yeovil & other games comes to mind.

For someone to publish here ''I like many others backed Gary Bowyer and even more so when we just missed out on promotion in his first season'' is doing a Yuri Geller with historical facts.

Are you his PA or something? Bowyer needs to man up. If he wants to be manager, he needs to have a bit of Charisma, not be shy of being in front of a camera, and be a bit more stronger personality wise. You can't be a fairy if you want to succeed as a manager, so he needs to become wiser or the other managers will once again eat him alive match days

  • Moderation Lead

Even if we take percentages out of the equation, we made £5.8Million on a player we sold, whether it's too little or too much remains to be seen.

Interesting how some choose to believe Wheelock when it suits, yet are happy to call him 'a historian' the rest of the time

Gary is doing himself no favours in a recent interview if I didn't know who was giving it I'd of thought it was someone who worked in the sales department justifying their monthly figures

How do we know Gazza's not on a percentage cos with him keep going on about player value it makes you wonder

As for Kean he famously said no way would we be relegated before the 3-3 draw with wigan

GB was famously jealous of brentfords resources after a 3-1 defeat with JR on the bench

Two idiots if you ask me who'd of been better keeping their mouths shut

In a way I don't blame him for banging on about stats it's his only managerial leg to stand on. He can't very well wax lyrical about his good first 1/4 of a season now and his last 2 full seasons proportional to expectations and have been a let down. So the only thing positive left is selling players on for a profit.

We're not at entering the oppos box 60 odd times yet but in that interview yesterday he did mention we were top of the table for hitting the woodwork. So I'm expecting an open top bus parade any day now.

Not wishing to have a go at you specifically here on this but I can't believe anyone would consider it irrelevant whether we got 6m or 8m for Gestede.

And that's before you even consider that similar misunderstandings between Pune and Ewood appear to have cropped up in the past, one of which landed us in Court.

Proved he's worth a punt??? When?

What's our best team?

What's our style of play. Plan A and B so to speak?

How many players has he bought in?

How many games have we dominated?

And most telling of all - how close to playoffs have we got?

2 seasons in with no plan, no set team and no serious challenge for promotion with an embargo to boot show the Bowyer experiment has failed. Not saying the embargo is his fault just we've blown our best chance to go up.

Best I've heard pro gaz is get out of the embargo and start again. Well his last fresh start (how many signings in his first season) has resulted in us being outside of the playoffs. What makes anyone think it'd be better next time round? It's not like he's learned and lessons from the last two seasons - for example we still ship in loads of goals.

Not sure keeping GB is settling for mediocrity rather a lingering death of the club.
