Chris, it was me who noticed the percentage error. Obviously MM would pick up on it but I'd already spotted it and thought it interesting enough to discuss.

You've candidly gone on to admit your thick, whilst subsequently discussing this subject in some detail. In light of that please be a tad more polite and don't describe me as Spikey or talking desperate nonsense.

Meanwhile admitting that percentages furrow your brow is the most humble post I have ever seen from you. Cheered ne up and increasingly I'm enjoying your posts. Thicko. ;)

May I ask. When did we just miss out on promotion under Bowyer?

Exactly we missed by around 21 points . The lottery was one point and 3/4 of the teams in there miss out . Kamy , bowyer has never "just missed " promotion .

Is that a statement of fact?

Plain stupidity would be making such a statement on a Forum/MB

Maybe edit a bit?

I can't now because you've quoted it - I've edited it though just for you

Kean tried his best to come across like a proper manager. He said so many cliches you're gonna see similarities.

What I don't get Athlete, Kean was a criminal on the take yet you'd sooner forget that to have a pop at GB.

Gary is a limited manager, that I can agree with - but when posters like you start using comparisons, it just turns my stomach.

Do you realise how much @#/? damage that Scottish keaner did to this football club? If you did, you wouldn't be comparing, you wouldn't be giving Kean even the time to post on here.

I'm absolutely sick to death of other and yourself making the same posts. It's shows complete ignorance, a memory lapse and just plain stupidity.

Criminal bit aside JB, I can see similarities between Kean and Bowyer and have been saying so for more than a year. You saying there aren't any, means nothing.

Proved he's worth a punt??? When?

What's our best team?

What's our style of play. Plan A and B so to speak?

How many players has he bought in?

How many games have we dominated?

And most telling of all - how close to playoffs have we got?

2 seasons in with no plan, no set team and no serious challenge for promotion with an embargo to boot show the Bowyer experiment has failed. Not saying the embargo is his fault just we've blown our best chance to go up.

Best I've heard pro gaz is get out of the embargo and start again. Well his last fresh start (how many signings in his first season) has resulted in us being outside of the playoffs. What makes anyone think it'd be better next time round? It's not like he's learned and lessons from the last two seasons - for example we still ship in loads of goals.

Not sure keeping GB is settling for mediocrity rather a lingering death of the club.

he's signed a 'normal' amount as far as the churn in the Football League goes, and a lot less than some teams. Do the research.

Good luck with the new manager hunt. Who do you think venky's have in mind? Will they DEFINITELY pick manager to get us promoted? What if they don't and we do a Wigan? What if the new manager starts signing utter shyte with no resale value and we end up back under an embargo, in League1? Of course that couldn't possibly happen. Nailed on promotion, because we've loads of money to spend and we're not at all in debt.

GB - REBUILDING ROVERS SINCE 2013. APPRECIATED BY VERY FEW.

Not knowing your age I think staving off relagation and 2 top ten finishes he does deserve a punt.

Ps are you blaming him for the embargo.

oh give it a rest please... 2 top 10 finishes in the championship is worthy to be proud of? Hughes had 3 top 6 finishes in the PL, a few FA Cup semi finals, Europe, Sam had us 10th before the Loons fired him. Thats how far we have fallen with the likes of Kean, Appleton, Berg and Bowyer. But like i said, if we are happy with Bowyer, then mid table, top 10 is okay i suppose.

For me den they are world's apart in approach, manner and feeling for the club.

But we aren't that club anymore Iceman. We have returned to what we were before Jack took over. I know many people find it unpalatable and it is. I weep when I think about what we have lost. However, the past is the past and we live in the here and now and that means getting on the with cards you have been dealt. At the moment, with the restrictions placed on the club and the difference in revenue streams between the Rovers and so many of the other clubs in the Championship, a mid-table finish this season certainly wouldn't be too shabby in the opinion of many fans, myself included. Of course, like every club in this division the aim is top two, then top six, then finish as high as you can and, above all, avoid relegation.

I don't think you understand Den, I think that you'd find GB has similarities with many in football, same with Kean - for instance qualifications, comments like "right good go", naivety with tactics etc.

What I'm trying to say, comparing the two does everyone's experience a disservice.

I can't explain the hatred I felt at the time, it was fierce. That doesn't happen because the manager isn't good enough, it takes much more. The press painted us in a certain way and that made it so much harder to take.

I have many doubts about GB, but his intentions are completely different to SK, you must see that. When I read comparisons, I just think the poster is forgetting that. The two managers may say the same thing, but you can guarantee it's for different reasons.

When we finally see GB tanked up in Ewood WMC calling Sam Allardyce a crook on camera - I'll stop being as infuriated by the comparisons.

for sure PB, i know we are not there anymore, and were in far worse shape before Jack took over. But, if people want to be blinded by what Bowyer has done, and deem it a good job under the circumstances, then thats fine. For me personally, he is nothing more than a coach, not a manager. I have said this before. Good luck to the guy, this season he will either have to show his worth, or again show that he is not capable to manage at this level

Some of these lot will never get what you mean because they don't want to. They jump all over a comment like that and spin it in to a defence tool. The same ones who accuse everyone else's general observations on the manager as a sign of hatred or a stick to beat him with as if he's immune to criticism for some reason unlike other managers.

Anyway plenty will get what you mean. No comparisons personally or agenda wise but definite parallels with the lines he's coming out with and signs of the football and results not being paramount. Wasn't always the case but there was an obvious shift in the way he comes across from around Christmas time last year when fans started to get restless with results and his general approach to the football side of things.

Started to look and sound a little bit untouchable and that's where the comparisons began for a few.

I found this on audioboom

https://audioboom.com/boos/3143562-audio-blackburn-onerovers-3-ipswich-2-gary-bowyer

At 4mins 30 talking after the Ipswich game about next season

"We've just said in there, erm, it really has to be us that are in the dressing room celebrating getting through to the playoffs, if not better"

^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^

Just a reminder

Round and Round in circles we go.

I will stick with what I have been told and am due to interview Derek Shaw and somepoint in next month or so and will ask him directly.

Will that be face-to-face?

is there no way you could slip a mega-dose of exlax in his coffee?

Even after Sam was sacked there was still hope. See Stoke as an example for moving on from hoofball and percentages.

Mods taking the venky rupee???? Is that in the same alternate reality where Coco made Dunn captain?

at least two from this site went too Pune as for Dunn being made captain I only have his word for it.

What you getting at

If you are going to troll at least remember what you type less than 24 hours previous

If dunny plays 30 games for the latics I will believe he was left out for non footballing matters.Don't forget coco made him captian so I'm sure there were incentives in his contract,a great lad and rover who liked Kean.
