Just back.. Anyone sticking up for him tonight is barmy . He stood there hands in pocket and hand behind his back like a rabbit in lights . How for some passion from a manager . Out his depth completely . Not a knee jerk reaction .

Did bowyer or Anderson order loud music as soon as whistle went in Both halves ? Drown the 1% out

Bowyer is holding this team back. Completely and utterly.

He is able to identify players with certain qualities (although statistically it's probably less than 50/50).

But.

He has no idea how to select and organise a team. Move him into a different role and offer some kind of bonus to a proper manager. Hell, even a young League One manager who can set up our forward thinking players in the right way. There must be an ex pro who is trying to get into a club. Something.

The positive spin is that there were 20 minutes more excitement tonight than in the corresponding fixture last season but that's just not good enough. We came out for the second half early, all the players moping about like scolded children. Shrewsbury came out and did a high intensity warm up with their first team coach. They then perfectly executed their professional game play of diving, cheating and time wasting to perfection. What did Gaz do? Nothing. He waited until another 15 minutes had been wasted and then did what he should have done after 10 - or even should have started. The players he brought on were a class above the dross that he started - and that's not saying that much.

His supporters will point to individual errors and misses, but on the whole it's not just that. It's the utter caution with which Bowyer sets up his teams. Bowyer's negativity will kill this club as a footballing entity. The so called negative fans who demand better will be silenced soon enough as they simply stop attending. The Positiviti will be able to watch this rubbish in perfect silence. (Incidentally, if Rovers banned the word Burnley being uttered at Ewood, we would have no songs at all).

It was against my better judgement that we went tonight. Bowyer let the supporters down with his team selection.

He will never learn. He will never change.

He needs to go.

I don't care about the excuses now. About how we don't need another novice, how it'd be a gamble. The job calls for a joiner to build something and we've got a plumber trying to avoid leaks. All the tools are there but he hasn't a clue how to use them.

What did I say about this guy? He is floody coach, nothing more than a youth team coach. He can't manage a team, he can't motivate, he can't organise or setup a team, and he damn well doesn't have a clue. Stop sticking up for this guy, and pointing out its only 2 games into the season.

Will they fire him?

What will it take for them to do that?

They will never fire him. He will need to do what we were assured he would do by his supporters when the time came, and walk with his dignity intact. If he isn't careful this could turn ugly.

Can see a hectic few days behind the scenes at Ewood trying to flog someone to keep in Mrs D's good books before she shunts the gravy train to the sideings

Would she have even been aware there was a game on? Most of Blackburn didn't.

I'm sick of hearing about, "We didn't reach the standards we've set ourselves".

Yes we did. Our standard is to play without passion, without intensity, cut the ball back rather than get the ball in the box quickly and consistently make basic defensive mistakes. The guy talks utter rubbish.

Be interesting to see what happens on Saturday, Bowyer doesn't often lose 3 on the bounce, he usually finds a way to get a result.

He doesn't have Gestede anymore and Rhodes won't score unless somebody is providing for him. I don't see anybody else in the team digging him out of this mess.

Another thing I noticed and the buck stops with bowyer as well is that we came out at half time about 3 to

5 mins earlier than town . When they came out they had a coach give them a quick warm up session and every rover was stood around lethargic and chatting amongst themselves , just like bowyer does on the touch line !

I do appreciate the effects of FFP may be having.

look at forest it's not just us who have lost 2 on the bounce.

However what a grim start. what a grim season we have ahead.

I don't dislike bowyer and will appreciate the work he's done for us. However the reality is nothing is happening. He isn't someone who appears to be improving and will always be a manager of a league 1/2 standard.

Which tbf to the guy is nothing to be ashamed of. However where is our ambition, what are we about as a club, should we have to wait till we lose 5 in a row to sack a manager or should we be like derby/west ham and sack a manager even if he's doing a 5/10 job consistently.

We could save so much more money in the long run buy spending big on a experienced manager

To be honest though the whole club now lacks ambition all the way to the board level. Venkys would be wiser to spend 5m bring in a proper structure with experienced men throughout. then potentialy stop having to plough 20m a year through equity because we are in this division
