tomphil Posted August 13, 2015 Posted August 13, 2015 That's the thing though, despite Bowyer's insistence, I don't think we ever actually do have a right good go!! It's quite often we do... in the last 5 mins when it's too late and he's actually thrown an attacking sub on because we are losing. It's happened regularly under him even going back to the Cardiff & Derby games early last season. Both games so far this season, the last 5 mins is in mind when the microphone gets plonked under his nose just after the game. Like a boxer who covers up and just survives for ten rounds then throws frantic desperate flurry's of punches in the last two and then complains he didn't get decision.

Mike Graham Posted August 13, 2015 Posted August 13, 2015 Been away and just seen the scores from our 1st two games. Clearly GB is rebuilding. I say we need to give the bod more time. The fans need to wait at least another 2 years. Too many impatient people on here.

ada2020 Posted August 13, 2015 Posted August 13, 2015 Exactly Rome was not built in a day No but I bet they at least had the foundations dug in two seasons........
Coatbridge rover Posted August 13, 2015 Posted August 13, 2015 The turnover off players is ridiculous.i never know the players on the park these days.is it the managers fault,or is it footba in general 1yr contracts are the norm.
perthblue02 Posted August 13, 2015 Posted August 13, 2015 Exactly Rome was not built in a day bloody hell don't think the Empire would have lasted as long, with Surrendous Meekly, Dodgyous Dealas, and Silentus Tieus running the show, still I bet they would have dabit per rectum bonis loca

The fans need to wait at least another 2 years. Too many impatient people on here. I would give him at least seven inca civilisations, ten light years, a couple of eons and the running time of the Mahabarat. Some people just can't see the vision, the 1000 piece jigsaw he's slowly assembling. some times you have to taken 100 steps back in order to move forward one step. Some people want to move forward one step now, it just doesn't work like that.
AllRoverAsia Posted August 13, 2015 Posted August 13, 2015 I have not renewed by Rovers Player subscription yet. I just can't muster any enthusiasm to having to see Bowyer's face or listening to his monotone boring banal crap s-hit feckin whatever.
Pedro Posted August 13, 2015 Posted August 13, 2015 Exactly Rome was not built in a day Rome had strong leadership.

Coatbridge rover Posted August 13, 2015 Posted August 13, 2015 Rome had strong leadership. And a bunch of turd burgalars.
47er Posted August 13, 2015 Posted August 13, 2015 5 years ie 10 more transfer windows! Couldn't face it!
Amo Posted August 13, 2015 Posted August 13, 2015 When the manager's remit is not to consistently win football matches but to turnover a profit on players, that scenario is bound to breed complacency.
joey_big_nose Posted August 13, 2015 Posted August 13, 2015 Two questions - 1) Does anyone have an inkling of what it would take for Bowyer to be sacked by Venkys? 5 losses in a row? bottom three in November? 2) Does anyone know who would be tasked with building a shortlist if replacements? Would it be Shaw? Or some other party?

In response to the second point, Shaw presumably.
ABBEY Posted August 13, 2015 Posted August 13, 2015 why did bowyer keep steele and two defenders back in the last 5 mins? pathetic tactics

I wouldnt bet my house on it especially after Venkys got stung by his last appointment..And wven if he did would we trust him to find a better manager than Bowyer?
Stand & Deliver Posted August 13, 2015 Posted August 13, 2015 why did bowyer keep steele and two defenders back in the last 5 mins? pathetic tacticsBecause I reckon he'd rather lose 2-1 than 3-1. It's pretty pathetic really and an insult to us fans IMO. I wonder if Bowyer(and Chaddy) will blame the players if we lose on Sat?

Would it be Shaw? Or some other party? 1) I think it would be up to Shaw to recommend Bowyer's sacking. I'm not sure Venky's are particularly aware of our overall league performance. 2) Again, this would probably be under Shaw's remit, but as he and Bowyer seem to be on good terms I'm not sure he'd recommend a sacking even if we were rock bottom at Christmas.

Stand & Deliver Posted August 13, 2015 Posted August 13, 2015 Chaddy has been so quiet has have gazetteers that it shows their ficklenessI know, their "Bowyer Bullets" are running out and there's not much noise from their quarters at the moment. You know what I'll make a prediction. If/when we replace Bowyer all the Gazzateers will be on the new managers back after a couple of dodgy results!
ABBEY Posted August 13, 2015 Posted August 13, 2015 Chaddy wont .. Everything venkyscum or rovers throw at is good
