The guy is as bullet proof as Kean was.

I think there is a difference between the two. We may never know why Kean was bullet proof, but we know Venky's were somewhat interested in the club during his tenure here.

Bowyer is bullet proof through sheer indifference IMO. I think Venky's have totally lost interest in the club and have no plans to do anything beyond fund it at the bare minimum with the majority of decisions being made by Roguinho and Bowyer.

I'm not sure about that. He seems sensitive to criticism and might react badly to fans protesting against him.

A few more defeats and fans will turn on him I'm sure. I've a feeling he would resign if he felt fans wanted him out in a way that Kean never would.

Until we equalised I was thinking of starting a Go Now Gary thread tonight.

Does anyone else think he should realise we are not going anywhere under him and he should resign in the interests of the club ?

Frankly, I've had enough.

Still too much tinkering and far too easily pleased.

Listening to his Radio Lancs interview you would think we were flying.

Also he mentioned the restraints of FFP three times during the interview having previously said he wouldn't use it as an excuse.

There were some encouraging signs but it's a results business and we have two points from a possible nine.

Will probably be going into the next home game still looking for our first win.

Gary just isn't getting that 30% extra out of the players that is there waiting to be tapped into. I don't have any more patience for him as manager and some stuff he comes out with is delusional but do think people are OTT trying to create a villain out of him. Same story on the pitch - albeit with a more energetic finish for a change.

Aye, I meant through indifference on the part of the owners rather than the fans. I think he's unsackable because Venky's don't really care any more - so our only hope is that he resigns.

He does seem to flinch at criticism and get a bit defensive but I don't think he'd resign. I think he would hang on for reasons that are the polar opposites to those that saw Kean hang around like a fetid stink. I do get the impression that he has a genuine affection for the club and the job means too much to him to allow him to walk away.

Far from getting the 30% extra he actually can't even get 90% normal service out of them !!!

You mean he wants a payout

Pay offs not play offs.

I think that's half of it. Don't forget though that he is apparently well in with Desai, just like Kean was. Once you're friendly with that old bint you've got a job for life.

Bowyer was, but if it's true that they wouldn't meet him over the summer it suggests to me they have lost interest almost entirely.

I'm not sure how you got that from my post but I presume there would be some form of severance package should there be a parting of the ways.

That's standard practice isn't it?

I don't believe that a payout would be Bowyer's primary motivation, you and some others appear to have a different view. Possibly (or probably) based upon a crackpot conspiracy theory.

You reckon jim?

Maybe it's just where I sit, but any criticism of Bowyer is shouted down, A lot of folk seem almost 'protective' of him, not something I've noticed with any other manager we've had- in fact a lot better managers than Gary bloody Bowyer have received dogs abuse.

I don't think it is just my part of the ground, as he has rarely had a boo or negative chant in his direction after months of pi$$ poor performances. It is almost as if the fanbase that is left is still scarred from the Kean era.

The way he now talks so blatantly to the owners and outside world in the press is an absolute total and utter insult to the regulars who turn up and watch. If you buy into it and his persona then that kind of proves the theory of why it's done. People are aghast at what they hear from him after watching a match, it's getting worse and he really is doing himself no favours. Maybe it's partly naivety but someone like Myers should have a word.

No I just don't agree that he has any affection for the club, he's an employee who put himself first for a payrise when there were better candidates for the job, Tony parkes he is NOT

That's what I am saying - we just tick over between 60 and 70%.

You won't catch me saying anything above 100% - it irks me as much as anyone starting a sentence with, "At the end at day right"

Well, I don't agree with you but all three of us had a little chat about it and minded our manors. Well done us.

This isn't about a rookie manager in Gary Bowyer, its about thick owners that appointed him in the first place.

Sack Bowyer, get Craig Short or someone else equally as useless.

We need to get Venkys out, until we do so we're fooked.

In terms of a payout (as far as we fans know) he is still on that rolling one year contract, so I would imagine the payout wouldn't be that much at all. Unless of course he signed a new contract with multiple years on it without it being made public.

It's been a poor start to the season and the problem is once you get in a bad run it can be difficult to get out of it even with a competent manager.

Dump GB now. He is useless, like a rabbit it the headlights.

Twice last night there were stoppages. The Cardiff players came to their manager and we're listening to advice. GB stood on the touch line with hands in his pockets like Billy no mates.

Manager my ar$e.

He was getting plenty of abuse from the JW Upper last night Matty.

I can pomise at least one person was giving him plenty of criticism from about 30 feet away in the JWL!!

Lots of grumbling around me but I was the only one who was vocal about it.
