Of course it isn't Andy but as Stuart says the lampooning has begun.

Mr Bowyer, for all the positives he has done, is now becomming a charicature in the eyes of some because of the exact points lampooned in the memo. More catchprases than Harry Enfield, a cross-dimensional ability to see the opposite performance to many fans, an unhealthy obsession with certain players, girly stamps in the face of minimal matchday criticism, and press conferences that sound like conference calls to Pune etc etc

More waste of print by the LET. Especially the usual tripe about SAF, Hughes etc

It seems Mr Smith doesn't like being referred to as a Rovers Fan but then goes on to label those on the opposite side of the fence as angry, hysterical men (no reference to female fans).

Is that your credibility going out the window in week 2 Mr Smith?

It's got to be bad when you'd rather read the misanthropic anti-rovers fan ramblings of Dan Clough

There's that comment again about moving forwards! We're stagnating at best.

Start of the week someone mentioned that a friend of a friend heard that people at the club were concerned about performances under Bowyer. We can but hope.

The certainly did. Did you not read the match thread? Plenty of people at the club sounded apoplectic.

He is a big boy now operating in the big league. He largely has to also manage the expectations of lots of Rovers fans, particularly after his comment about finishing in the top two or minimum top six. Please don't feel sorry for him, he is being handsomely rewarded for mediocrity at the moment and people being harsh is endemic in the world of football.

Your last sentence says it all. If there was anything about him he would resign.

Given he was in the club throughout the Kean years, It wouldn't surprise me if he thought he was the only thing standing between Rovers and Anderson getting another plant into the club, so I don't think he will resign purely on results.

Having said that, he must've been spooked by not getting an invite to Pune over the summer, so I expect the defensiveness and prickliness to increase. If results don't improve I think he'll be sacked by the end of Sept. Things feel a little different this season to me.

He shouldn't resign at all, let them pay him off - we would all do it. I think he needs to go but I won't begrudge him getting a pay off, it's a job after all.

A question for those 'in the know', as far as you are aware is he still on the 12-month rolling contract or has he signed a new deal?

Today is the first time that I have sensed that Gary Bowyer is a man under pressure, normally he is very approachable and relaxed, far from that over the last 24 hours. I wonder if the crowd starting to turn on him is the reason for this, he will be aware that there will be people in and around the club/owners who will jump on any supporter unrest to try and get him sacked.

Although I would be surprised if anyone manages to convince Mrs D to pull the trigger. She likes him on a personal level and having just delivered a massive profit with the sales he will be in her good books, but this is Venky's so literally anything is possible.

Any update on the rumours of 'concern' at Ewood after Tuesday's performance?

Yeah everything is ok now because we had a right good go in the last 10, Lowey was magnificent and the embargo was responsible for their goal. Carry on :rover:

He should feel some pressure as it's 4 without a win and it's looking worrying no matter how it's dressed up. I don't want to see him crumble, far from it I want him to get a grip with it. Send out the strongest 11 he has available and grind/bite/scratch a few wins out of somewhere. Screw player development it's about team development and results.

How can you make a massive profit when you're one hundred squillion in debt?

Profit in terms of what Gary spent on the likes of Rudy/Cairney and the money they bought in when they were sold on. Every other manager that they have employed has ended up costing Venky's millions, Gary is the first one to generate a profit.

How did Berg cost them millions? It was their little nobender who they still see fit to employ so not Berg's fault

Thats the crux of the matter Kamy, he's delivering what the owners require, profit.

He's going nowhere in my book, certainly not while he's pulling in £8m profits!

True BUT Berg made them a profit also. He was called Josh King ;)

--------------------------------

£8m for Gestede? Not a single media source has said over £6m...........yet the £8m is still taken as gospel because (no offence) Kamy's source said so.

If it was £8m Weelock would have printed it in big black bold letters.

Just accept Villa pulled our pants down and move on ;)

it's exasperating when we all want the same thing... our team to put in a performance over 90 minutes and to instill some pride back into the club.

Why can't bowyer see this?? It screams out from the performances and the supporters angst. Instead of him just standing limply on the sidelines (very similar to Kean, after he decided he would face off the fans?) and doing nothing, why doesn't he show some fight and passion.

SO FRUSTRATING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Berg signed one player in King I seem to remember. 1.5 mill compen for Kingy so that's a great profit, nearly paid for Shelfmans rogue antics. Maybe Henning could have been a Mr percentage puppet as well given time.

He could be getting thoughts of a pay off in mind....... His body language and contribution from the sidelines was virtually non existent v Shrewsbury, even by his calm standards. Didn't take much notice v Cardiff as can't see that well from usual seat but is he starting to wear the look of a beaten man perhaps ?

Doubt it otherwise the remainder of team Kean wouldnt have wanted him out so quickly

Mark up wise with players I was meaning to be fair. I think Henning was very much his own man and that's why they stabbed him in the back from day one. Shaw is a buddy of Appleton (& business partner) allegedly so that one will have been being lined up whilst Berg kept the seat warm. Derek Shaw ought to go for a paddle in the North Sea wearing concrete flippers imo.

oops sorry thought you referring to the Team Kean enterprise business model.

Regarding Kamy's comment about somebody at Ewood trying to use fan dissent to get rid of Bowyer , doesnt take a genius to realise who that might be, might be used as a good argument of sticking with Bowyer
