Don't disagree, but can also see the argument for giving him a limited stay of execution.

Was really throwing it out there to see what people thought.

I've tried for over 12 months to find anything to convince me GB offers anything positive on match days.

He's incapable.

He has wasted our 2 best chances of a playoff promotion, and make no mistake, this current squad

Could spiral out of control without proper leadership and tactical nouce.

Can you think of one thing they've got right?

Rhodes is the only arguable success, but considering we hugely overpaid for him and his wages have contributed to our current embargoed status it's a small victory at best.

Last season was Bowyers shot for me...very few departures..a full season with Rudy, Rhodes, Cairney and Conway...he blew it for me so I can't defend him now.

Still think he did a great job overall. Not sure what we could attract in terms of replacement.

Bit too late that now Mani especially after signing 36 players.

I hope the current situation and league position gives a big wake-up call to all those who believe Bowyer (or any other manager) can bring a guarantee of championship safety, or club stability. He can't. No one can. You either try to move forwards at every opportunity and with every appointment, or you go backwards. A club must have ambition whatever situation they find themselves in. I don't see any of that, from anyone at the club. It's frightening what's happening here.

I'd say the problems started when the Trustees got teh hell out of Dodge without a backward glance. Just a big cloud of dust.

Four. Rhodes, Yakubu, Gestede and renegotiating the release clause in Phil Jones' contract.

Pretty irrelevant in the general scheme of things.

The only mitigation you can give him for this season is that he's lost his two top scorers (sale and injury) and one of his most creative players in Cairney...add in that they can spend and I'm not surprised they've struggled.

They blew it last season. No excuses tbh.

I don't think he will be sacked. But what do I know!? Ha

Indeed, and it's been happening ever since Venky's got here. The illusion of stability under Bowyer came into existence almost solely off the back of two unusually prolific goalscorers. The fact we had two of the top six goalscorers in the division last season and got nowhere near the playoffs told its own story. Without the pair of them we are in dire straits and were always destined to be so.
