If the LET and LEP joined up, you'd get a thicker paper which would also (presumably) be cheaper. Then start getting proper journos in. Get real opinion pieces in there too instead of Nick 'the flip-flop' Nunn.

Best paper going atmo is the I, imo. Concise and quality!

If you owned the business would you be upsetting one of your largest advertisers by printing/displaying negative news about them?....would you kean. Especially in these times when small businesses are cutting advertising budgets to survive. A paper is as successful as its circulation and sales floor, so no advertising revenues, no money for reporters(or decent ones)....catch 22 really...you can't have a go at the paper...

What an appalling defence. Completely the opposite of the whole point of a free press, and basically lying to their readership.

The saddest part is, I'm sure you are right.

However, Rovers are no longer a PL outfit spending big on advertising. Soon they may not be a large advertiser at all. What then for the paper?

The LT are too cosy with the club which means we can't rely on them to do their job and hold the club accountable when they need to; and when their readership demands it.

I'd rather spend 65p on the newspaper than try and navigate my way around that god awful website, with adverts popping up over stories left right and centre...the stories in the paper reflect the area its covering - on the slide and with the general decline in print advertising its the case of ever decreasing circles.

I'm sure Peter White saw reporting on Rovers as a vocation rather than a stepping stone - which is what it has sadly become over the years. A mid table Championship team, in a small town, with a declining readership is hardly likely to attract some up and coming jouro with Rovers at their heart, and with the dogs abuse, whoever the journo is, gets from here, Facebook and Twitter is it any wonder why a local journo with Rovers at their heart hasn't taken up the mantle?!?!

Best way to get a thicker paper is to print everything twice.

New reporter umph? Not what I've seen. I'm sure he is a nice guy but I haven't learnt one thing new from any of his stories. All he has done is recycle manager and player interviews that we heard the day before.

When you start a new job you want to make an impression. He had the perfect chance with the accounts and leon best. He bottled both stories and just wrote wjat the club wanted him to.

Flanagan apparently didn't get the job because he upset the club. Wheelock won't upset the club, that is a certainty.

Flanagan upset the club?? How??

He hardly went out on a limb and there was certainly no sensationalising of goings on at the club even though there were many legitimate opportunities.

So, rovers have now got the LT in their pocket along with radio pravda. Add to that the deafening silence from anyone at the club and we may all as well make it up and post it on here.

I thought that's what some already did!

The paper was formed around the same time the club was, its a Blackburn institution that needs to be supported not ridiculed.

Thought the front page story today had an impact.

Desperate, ordinary people, commiting crime for the first time by stealing food just to survive....wow !

Foods incredibly cheap in this country. Just a fact that some people ....

a. Do not prioritise.

b. Think food has to come in an expensive ready meal format and has to be bought in a supermarket.

Breaking news today.............. I won't panic buy says Bowyer. Isnt that obvious. Then a page about Keith Gillespie, then a strange column about Singh and non news. Another feast of Blackburn coverage today...... This week we have had 'you haven't seen the best of me', 'you havent' seen the best of us' and 'Im getting back to my best'.

What planet is Wheelock on? He has a bloody strange interpretation of what amounts to being backed.

Is this the same Rhodes that had NO BIDS and the same manager that was backed so heavily he had to sift through the bargain bin for duffers like Judge and Marrow......though he has found some decent ones like Spurr

They have appointed a manager who, slowly but surely, is attempting to turn the club’s on-the-field fortunes around – and who they backed in the transfer window by refusing to sell Jordan Rhodes.
