RibbleValleyRover Posted September 21, 2013 Posted September 21, 2013 Have to be winning these home games if the club has serious mid-table aspirations.
Moderation Lead K-Hod Posted September 21, 2013 Moderation Lead Posted September 21, 2013 Crying out for subs here.
Proudtobeblue&white Posted September 21, 2013 Posted September 21, 2013 Finally, subs, Taylor/Evans off, best/Judge on
G Somerset Rover Posted September 21, 2013 Posted September 21, 2013 Any danger of Bowyer trying something different? If we have any play-off aspirations whatsoever then we need to be winning games like today.
BooyakaSha Posted September 21, 2013 Posted September 21, 2013 Its a snore-fest for sure. Need Rochina or Dunny out there. Missed sorely.
Moderation Lead K-Hod Posted September 21, 2013 Moderation Lead Posted September 21, 2013 A lot of time wasting by this lot.
Proudtobeblue&white Posted September 21, 2013 Posted September 21, 2013 Hero on for Cairney Yellow for Williamson!
Moderation Lead K-Hod Posted September 21, 2013 Moderation Lead Posted September 21, 2013 Taking Cairney off was pretty baffling.
BooyakaSha Posted September 21, 2013 Posted September 21, 2013 This is awful. Just awful. I can see us pushing forward and them scoring just now.
blue_n_white99 Posted September 21, 2013 Posted September 21, 2013 He may have a knock and it's a precautionary measure It may be a we keep what we have move, which would be pretty negative at home against these. Or GB thinks he's been poo
RibbleValleyRover Posted September 21, 2013 Posted September 21, 2013 Bowyer might have shown he was a man motivator during his caretaker stint, but when form dries up and you are struggling you need some tactical nous. Not seen anything to suggest that we haven't once again appointed another managerial dud.
G Somerset Rover Posted September 21, 2013 Posted September 21, 2013 Very poor result. You can see Shebby/Venkys turning the heat up on Bowyer soon...we have 3 very very tough games coming up too which could realistically yearn 0 points, especially given our away form. Concerning. I really do like Bowyer but like RVR I think to date, he has come up short against better managers tactically. He doesn't seem to have a plan B whatsoever.
Ossydave Posted September 21, 2013 Posted September 21, 2013 Are we allowed to take the clean sheet as a positive? Or were they just poor too? I didn't go so have no idea how the game panned out.
SIMON GARNERS 194 Posted September 21, 2013 Posted September 21, 2013 Not enough in this side to see us top half of table, average side, that's the way it is.
Backroom Tom Posted September 21, 2013 Backroom Posted September 21, 2013 As predicted two poor teams who didn't do nearly enough to win the game They will be happy but we shouldn't be we never looked like making them sweat and the game passed without event We probably had the better players they had the better organisation and shape but they are a very poor team which speaks volumes about us now King tried but the only other highlight was ruthless assassin Lee Williamson Leaving Lowe on and taking off the midfielder that can tackle and the midfielder that can pass strikes me as a bit odd unless they were both hurt
G Somerset Rover Posted September 21, 2013 Posted September 21, 2013 I didn't see the game today but from what I've heard and seen in the previous 3 games, Bowyer needs to adapt his formation, or personnel ASAP. As I said before, it won't be long before the knives are out. Square pegs in round holes springs to mind. How many more times does he want to try Cairney in the AM role before realising it's not working?
onlyoneDuff Posted September 21, 2013 Posted September 21, 2013 How Lowe keeps his place in the team is baffling...there isn't any part of his game which merits first team selection, yet it seems that for the last two years he is the first name on the team sheet...time to try something different
booth Posted September 21, 2013 Posted September 21, 2013 Talk of managerial changes scare the hell out of me. Who next out of the people totally unsuited to managing us will they pick? Maradona? Karl Robinson? Flitcroft?
Backroom Tom Posted September 21, 2013 Backroom Posted September 21, 2013 When their keeper is time wasting early in the first half you would hope we would have the wherewithal to take the game to them and really push for a winner We didn't - instead we looked happy to see the game out sadly
Rover_Shaun Posted September 21, 2013 Posted September 21, 2013 Talk of managerial changes scare the hell out of me. Who next out of the people totally unsuited to managing us will they pick? Maradona? Karl Robinson? Flitcroft? True. They've already picked 4 of them
LDRover Posted September 21, 2013 Posted September 21, 2013 Good first half, very poor second. No great performances to note but I'd say Lowe was probably our best player on the day and I'm hardly a fan of his. Time to get real though,we're a mid table Championship side at best.
diziet2 Posted September 21, 2013 Posted September 21, 2013 Another lucky day for your boys today. Lets resume round 2 back at good ole Town. All's well that ends well...
