Where's it say that?

Just some of your posts would lead me to believe that you detest him being there. And to feel that strongly against a man who doesn't appear corrupt, it would make me feel you thought he was a dreadful manager.

I'm probably wrong: I'm Braddock.

We lost, which is obviously bad. So now all the knee-jerk brigade will creep out and bang on about sacking him and bringing in a new manager, who will be brilliant until they lose. And then they'll be terrible, should never have been appointed etc.

How about we just have a different manager every game, like HIGNFY? Next game can be Shebby Singh, then Neil Warnock, then Elvis Costello................Pathetic.

It was crap and his subs were suspect but that comes with the territory with a rookie manager

I think if we stick with him he'll be good for us and is bigger than the realistic alternatives

dominated possession but no players took any chances. by that i dont mean goalbound chances i mean they played very reserved and no one gambled.

we looked better when best went off. his attitude and lack of skill or determination is infuriating. lowe looked like the old lowe and somehow got motm. i cant tell what marshall offers. killgallon is awful in possession but has been out for a long time so ill reserve judgement on him.

The players need to take a long hard look at themselves after today. Odd substitutions, granted, but they really didn't perform to the standards we know they are capable of.

Sparky, who do you want as manager instead of Bowyer?

Worried by his subs today, ok maybe King has picked up a knock but putting on Judge chasing a game 1 nil down then throwing Campbell on who needs service but we weren't creating anything ? Just seemed to be giving those 2 some minutes for the sake of it and almost giving up on the game. Although to be fair he did change it when 442 so obviuosly wasn't working again with a below parr Rhodes and the lazy Best but then seemed to go back to it with Campbell. Why no Taylor for Marshall instead as he was pants again.

Shame about today but let's not forget that Bowyer is rebuilding a side that nearly got relegated last season to league one. It's thanks to him and Rhodes that we are not playing in lge 1 this season.

We are safely in mid table, have been exceptional in some games this season, poor in others, but Bowyer is improving our club and will continue to do so. Good young players are now at the club who will improve.

We have to be realistic that we are not the solid premier league team we were a few years ago, we are a team that nearly got relegated last season. Some fans need to realise that and not expect Bowyer to turn us from relegation fodder to promotion candidates overnight. It will take time but we are improving, and have improved drastically from last season.

While I agree with you that we need to be patient, I don't think the banks will. I think our squad will be decimated come summer when we're not promoted, and Rhodes will be the first one out the door. And from then on Bowyer will have to be a miracle man to keep this ship afloat.

Forget the players, buck stops with the manager - you know that.

I'm not sure it will be decimated but key players will leave as well as a few more big earners. Rhodes will definitely leave in the summer, probably Scott Dann and Hanley as well. Then you have the likes of Best, Robinson and Etuhu who will also go.

Rhodes is obviously very difficult to replace, good defenders are much easier to find and we have a couple of good young ones out on loan at the moment which should soften the blow of losing Dann and/or Hanley.

Chill Winston. The knee-jerk brigade is and always has been just Sparky Marky. Bowyer's other critics (including me) have questioned his ability given his novice status, but hardly jump on him after every defeat. Personally it took me until after the Huddersfield draw, his 22nd game in charge, to criticise him for the first time. And I haven't criticised him since.

Bowyer:

Positives

- fairly good line up given previous performances (although personally I get worried with a Cairney-Lowe partnership in a 2 man midfield)

- changed it brining on the right player Williamson to change to a 4-2-3-1 when 4-4-2 wasn't working. Excellent spot and looked like it would work.

Negatives

- Judge for King. King was a better performer, and Judge offered nothing and just made us narrower (as he always does) - bad move.

- Campbell on when wellying it up field. Never going to work. Also in taking off Marshall, not sure what the formation went to.

So again positives and negatives. Some good promise in the correct decisions, but you have a feeling the incorrect decisions are going to cost us a few points.

This is the key issue.

Bowyer becoming a good manager is one thing - and one all fans would agree on, there's promise there, he's a good guy, we'd love the promise to be realised and to give him the time to do so.

Bowyer having time to become good enough is another - our situation may not allow for that to happen.

Bang on.

Losing against Blackpool next week would be 3 defeats in a row and a sure fire sign that Shebby rumblings will be heard again.

The key issue for me is this ...

If I was the owner/owners of BRFC and really wanted the club to succeed and return to the Premier League .

Would I employ Gary Bowyer ?

No , is the answer ,

The problem is not Bowyer it is the owners lack of ambition for the club and has been since the day they arrived ....

Someone with a little bit of experience for once.
