This one is a fila top, but he has a gut, not huge but it shows, when the footie top goes on he looks ten times better and the gut doesn't stand out as much.

It's weird, but apparently true:

He's just had a pre planned op from what ive read, so not quite injured.

Hes been looking very fit and strong from since the back end of last season)

People have been saying this practically every season since Dunn re-joined though  better to expect less, that way you won't be disappointed when he inevitably comes off injured after 65 mins or so two games into his return,

What would be better is if we used the loan market to actually secure a player of that ilk who isn't a crock.

Amazing insight I know, but if our budget could stretch to afford one extra player it might be worth it.

If only it was that easy. Any David Dunns who aren't crocks are playing in the top half of the PL. And even a Rochina is as rare as hen's teeth in the Championship loan market. I agree we could get a considerably worse version of them on loan but I'm not sure whoever that was would be any better than Cairney in that position.

Those pics are all accentuating that girls waist..... I'm not sure that tactic would work with Dunny.

Unfortunately I get the feeling the club are working under the same unambitious logic.

What does seem strange is we have moved Cairney out of his best deep lying midfield role into the number ten position and weakened ourselves twice. Firstly losing his ability deeper in midfield and also in wasting him further forward. I'd rather Judge had got a run in the number ten role. I know he's not that technical type like Rochina, but he is busy and it might have pulled opposition centre halves out of position a few times. Every time ive seen judge he's impressed me. I have been a tad surprised he hasnt featured so much.

Judge is one of them that seems busy and workmanlike but doesn't actually come up with any consistent end product.....waste of a wage...again.

agree and not entirely convinced Taylor isnt one of them as well.Better with 20mins off the bench but pony when he starts. As for waste of a wage i bet he regrets signing Marrow now as that is a waste of a wage. Jury well and truly out on Marshall so far too

Agreed, Taylor was poor on Saturday but doen't look bad as a sub. Marshall has shown nothing so far.

I'd like to see a midfield of Rochina,Cairney, Evans, King, and Dunny just behind Rhodes, it would be good to watch I reckon.

I'd play Lowe at RB if we did.

I don't really think Judge has much to offer. He's a good player to bring on as a sub to wear down opposition players with energy, but in terms of being a consistent threat I just don't see that in him at this level. Really disappointed we didn't get Lingard as I think he might have adapted well to this type of role.

Ambition for Rovers in the last 2.5 years has just been another word for money. We literally have nothing else to offer.

Do you want to come and play in front of 14,000 crowds (that suspiciously look like 11,000 ones)? No.

Do you want to come and play for our former reserve team manager who might be sacked within a few months? No.

Do you want to come and play for a club that finished in the top half of the Premiership 3 seasons ago and narrowly avoided relegation to League 1 last season? No.

Anyone's who come to Rovers since Allardyce left has done so for one reason, money. Well Venkys seem to have pulled the plug on money, and our one way to attract talent has gone with it. Saying its hopeless to expect a talented playmaker to walk through the door isn't a lack of ambition, its an ability to face reality. Heck, we only just managed to prevent Rochina jumping ship in the summer, why would someone as good as him feel any differently?

Does this prove that bowyer can't spot a player...good or @#/??...I don't know what he saw when marrow was scouted, but if he saw a player good enough for this level, then relegation is on the horizon because it proves he's incompetent.

Well personally I'd say its quite a lot to ask. A few weeks ago Judge was a top player on here, and a month or 2 ago he was the best thing since sliced bread. I thought a lot of that was down to us developing him as a youngster and the favourable bias fans seem to show because of that, but I assume at least some of it was because of his glittering performances as an attacking midfielder in League 1. 8 goals and 12 assists he contributed to Notts County last season, and without wanting to sound harsh he's just looked like a pointless wind-up toy in that position in the Championship. I honestly think in the modern 4-5-1 game that playing that role behind the striker is the most difficult, technical and important role there is. Finding anyone as good as Dunn and Rochina that's within our ability to attract is a daunting task. All I can say is its a bloody good thing we didn't get rid of Dunn as many were calling for in the summer.

Yeah but if he barely plays it's a moot point. We should be focusing on trying to find a player who can play in that role consistently, as it's glaringly obvious Dunn is firstly very injury prone and secondly coming to the end of his footballing career.

Yes, clearly he is. People have been saying that for years. Fact is though that when he is fit he should start. He is Premier League and that fact that he's still with us is down to his injury record. Point being that if he was consistently available he wouldn't be in the second tier of football.

If Rochina and Campbell were available at the moment then I doubt very much we'd be having half the discussions on this messageboard. Knee jerk? Short sighted? Bowyer should go? Lack of quality? On and on, round and round.

Only an idiot / very harsh critic would be doing an indepth analysis of the situation without considering that we're missing three injured players who could play the key number 10 role (aka behind the front man as it used to be known) and had another mouthing off speaking out of turn who needed to get back in line. Luckily it appears the real idiot, the one that unfortunately matters, must have missed his plane / forgotten his passport / where he was supposed to be going.

That's not to say that the squad IMO isn't unbalanced, how many players? (Let's go and pay for some more on loan!) How many similar midfielders do we have? Then again you put a novice in charge, allow him to make his own signings and away you go. It is still too early to judge in my book mind you for the reasons above.

However, with a Board in place at Ewood, to discuss such things, like transfers, squad size, budget and to exercise a degree of quality control, these areas can be discussed and headed off at the pass amicably (GB is a relative novice after all, not Dalglish) - without having to call in an idiot like Singh who quite frankly I wouldn't leave alone on Football Manager for 2 minutes let alone call the shots at BRFC.

Of course, without wanting to state the obvious, this could all have been avoided.

If only Jack had formed Lancashire United in 1991 and killed off Blackburn Rovers.
