DavidMailsTightPerm Posted February 2, 2014 Posted February 2, 2014 Do you want this board to a venky love in ? Or do you want the venkys not mentioning ? Er they have ruined this club and I won't forgive or forget!!! I don't think anyone should forgive or forget - but at some point we have to move on. At the moment they aren't making any daft decisions - and are financially supporting the club. Yes - they are the reason we are in this position - but at this moment they are the only people stopping Rovers going bankrupt !

They are the people who got us to this point, if they have any real values and responsibility they will get us out of this mess, until then, expect flack That is just as bad, you have been told a million times to stop exagerating Is that intentionally ironic? go at your own speed

Yes - they are the reason we are in this position - but at this moment they are the only people stopping Rovers going bankrupt ! We can't move on until they leave, that's the whole point. They'll end up making Rovers' bankrupt surely? The credit line must be ever-increasing, they'll run out of assets to pledge against it.

USABlue Posted February 2, 2014 Posted February 2, 2014 Do you think a more experienced manager would have got maximum points from the games at Doncaster and Barnsley away and Sheff Weds, Derby and Birmingham at home Like Appleton?
broadsword Posted February 2, 2014 Posted February 2, 2014 We go under because of them. We are revived because of someone else coming in. I refuse to be grateful to people who screwed this club up.
yoda Posted February 2, 2014 Posted February 2, 2014 We go under when they leave. You don't know what the circumstances will be when they leave
USABlue Posted February 2, 2014 Posted February 2, 2014 Do you want this board to a venky love in ? Or do you want the venkys not mentioning ? Er they have ruined this club and I won't forgive or forget!!! I heard over here Venkys are looking to invest in the Broncos should they win the stupid bowl
gumboots Posted February 2, 2014 Posted February 2, 2014 And if the someone coming in is even worse? I know that scarcely seems possible but a quick look around suggests it is. I've no love whatsoever for venkys, but I can't see the point in having a go at them all the time because we are where we are and a change, whilst it might be better, would never be a quick fix and might be a whole new mess.

Thats' a sad excuse for not trying to improve the situation
Steve Moss Posted February 2, 2014 Posted February 2, 2014 I questioned Venkys judgment and/or integrity as much as the next guy, but surely its clear they've remarkably improved their performance this year as compared to the last two? They've made very poor decisions. But is appears Venkys are learning and they are improving and building a real team from the ashes of what they (or those they trusted) destroyed. The only question mark I still have next to their name is Derek Shaw's continued employment. So we can spew venom over what has gone on in the past, or we can focus on continuing to improve matters. I know which I prefer.
Bucksrover Posted February 2, 2014 Posted February 2, 2014 You don't know what the circumstances will be when they leave True - there is always the hope of a better owner.
gumboots Posted February 2, 2014 Posted February 2, 2014 Thats' a sad excuse for not trying to improve the situation And exactly how do you suggest I try to improve matters? I merely stated that constantly moaning here about them is pointless. We haven't forgotten what they have done to our club, not for one minute, but until such time as there is something we CAN do to make things better, I can't see the point of posting anti venkys messages on a whole host of threads. Show me a single action I can take that might genuinely change things and I might try doing it.

Think outside the box, try contacting them for a start, as soon as they see no dissenting voices they will assume they are liked. All this (whine) lets (whine) not (whine) do (whine) anything (whine) cause (whine) it (whine) won't (whine) make (whine) a (whine) difference (whine) is how bandits get away with screwing the Rovers

What is wrong with trying to make the existing punatics better ? another one who can't/won't think outside the box and if they are peed off it is their own fault

yoda Posted February 2, 2014 Posted February 2, 2014 But that is the key thing - if the rumours are to believed they are pledging against their own assets. Why don't they come out with the truth then, you never know it might gets the supporters on side
Moderation Lead K-Hod Posted February 2, 2014 Moderation Lead Posted February 2, 2014 Why don't they come out with the truth then, you never know it might gets the supporters on side I think we all know it's WAY too late for that. What they've done is unforgivable, and will never be forgotten. Just because they've stopped sacking managers for the time being, and the dross from the squad has been partly cleared, it changes nothing. Other folk have good points though, sometimes it may be better the devil you know- how many cases of appalling football club ownership can you think of over the last few years? There's absolutely no guarantee that anyone else that came in would be any better. As much as it's an awful situation, right now, we need Venky's, as, if they pulled the plug- it really would be the often forecasted oblivion!
broadsword Posted February 2, 2014 Posted February 2, 2014 But that is the key thing - if the rumours are to believed they are pledging against their own assets. Well, the ground's under a CPA and I believe that Brockhall can't be sold off, am I right? What other option do they have? They must be bricking it, could it even be possible that if Rovers go down, the Venky's empire could also? Or at the very least, take a serious hit.

I think some people waiting in the wings with a better understanding of corporate law may disagree with that
Moderation Lead K-Hod Posted February 2, 2014 Moderation Lead Posted February 2, 2014 I think some people waiting in the wings with a better understanding of corporate law may disagree with that Maybe. My knowledge of such things is limited. My personal view is they'll clear off before too long, they're gaining nothing from owning the club, in fact, quite the opposite, not many business owners would be willing to lose money hand over fist like them, particularly when they have no real ties to the club or the area.

So, why are they still here?
