I think he was correcting your punctuation. You know what the comma & apostrophe police are like on here.

no sorry I wasn't correcting anything(i'm the last to have the right to judge in that department!)

I was just curious as to what you was referring to, my mums is a primary school teacher.

Whilst I can understand a cautious approach again on Saturday against Reading, where a defeat would have effectively ended our season, surely Bowyer now has to show much more ambition in an attacking sense.

There is nothing to lose and potentially all to be gained. We've most of the top teams still to come to Ewood and if we sit back and defend deep as we have thus far, I fear we'll just get picked off by the better teams.

I'm not advocating a gung-ho approach as has previously been suggested by some but a more positive approach and to attack the opposition with sustained conviction. Something I've personally yet to see this season. (My first game was mid October)

Hopefully the return of Corry Evans and the difference the addition of Robbo and Kilgallon have made defensively, will give GB the confidence to give it a go. After all nothing ventured nothing gained.

Agreed. If we get at them and get an early goal then they may just crumble again seeing as they've struggled this season. The heads may go down and the crowd may get at them. Sit off in this one and it will surely back fire as they've picked up a bit recently.

For me Evans is the key - Lowe, Evans and Cairney give us such a strong midfield platform from which to build - such a shame he got injured when he did as we were playing some of the best football seen in recent times.

Really one can only speculate the what might have been had he not got injured. That game for NI could have potentially cost us millions

Ditto Marshall's stupid tackle and (possibly) Hanley's red card.

I think Bowyer may have just had a dig at the Venksters. In post-match interview on Radio Lancs he said Bolton had the luxury of having Hutton on the bench, and that Freeman was fortunate to have that kind of financial backing (or words to that effect). Understandable to some extent if he wasn't allowed to bring a centre-half in, but it's not like he hasn't been allowed to buy some very good Championship players himself.

This `sack the manager` mindset every time we have a bad result needs to stop. Look what happened last season when the owners had that mindset!!

We are a work in progress, we are going to have days like today. The progress GB has made with this team in 12 months is nothing short of miraculous. Everyone says they want an inexperienced manager in but would an experienced manager have done any better than GB over the past year? No, I don't believe they would have.

GB has changed the very culture of the club and we are now back on track and heading in the right direction. The mind boggles why some people would want to de-rail that. Of course we'd all love us to win every match and be in the top 6 right now but that's not realistic when you consider the mess GB has had to sort out. We have been very good for the majority of this season but have the tendency to have bad off days which result in heavy losses away from home.

GB has never once said he expects us to be in he top 6 this season. In fact, he's said it will take another couple of transfer Windows before he has the squad he wants. Some fans have unrealistic expectations this season. They think that because we were a prem club two season ago we should be in the top 6. They don't actually look at the facts that we were relegation fodder last season and had a woeful team.

People point to the fact that Wigan and Derby changed their manager and improved. They had managers who were underperforming and the tools were already there to come in and hit the ground running. People point to Dyche at Burnley. He's done a great job but he hardly pulled up any trees last season with Burnley but they gave him time to build and they are now reaping the rewards. Would any of those managers have us in the top 6 this season? I don't think so.

Come on Husky, we are a million miles from the club we were last season.

Well yeah, but if memory serves correct (I know I should check, but I cant be bothered) we weren't so far off the play-off places around pancake day, before we then went on the slippery slide and briefly ended up in the relegation zone with just a handful of games left.

Edit* Actually I just checked (go me)- from a purely statistical point of view;

This time last season; after 32 games we were on 45 points with a +2 goal difference and 7 points off the play-offs.

Now, this season after 32 games we are on 46 points with a -1 goal difference and are 6 points off the play-offs.

If things could be better then it's the manager's fault. No cover at CB, a @#/? centre midfield and a tubbing at a team way below us in the league.

Dogsh1t again.

Today was terrible and shocking to say the least...

However I think the club should stick by him till the end of.. Wait for it.. Next season.

We as a club need stability and although we are not great we have made good progress in the last 9-10 months... I think we have to give him time..

I agree, today was appalling.

From the moment the team was announced you knew we'd get stuffed.

I like GB and what he's brought to the club, for that he should be commended. Sadly I don't think he's our salvation. Time to say thanks and move on IMO. Much as we did with Tony Parkes.

Yeah, no excuse I'm afraid. He still saw fit to bring Dabo and Varney in, both of whom add little and, in the case of Dabo, add cover to an area already overloaded.

To be honest this result has been threatened for a while.

Pitch Davies and Spearing versus Lowe and Williamson in midfield and there is only one winner every time.

Maybe finances are now starting to bite and if that is the case then there not alot we can do but midfield has been a problem since Jermaine Jones was in there. Goodness knows how many midfielders we have bought this season and we end up with one of the worst pairings in that position I can ever remember.

Lowe would be better off at right back for a start and Wiliamson I am afraid is too slow for this division.

No manager is above criticism, and the lack of defensive cover is a GB made problem. We could/should have brought someone in place of Dann, however I feel that if this had happened sooner we may have acted. Deadline day deals are always a killer but it is easy to say we all knew he was leaving.

A big defeat is hard to take but that shouldn't blinker everything else that as gone on. Missing Cairney (our most creative player thus far) and Hanley (best defender and captain) is always going to affect performance. Before today we hadn't conceded in 280 minutes and that statistic proves the different losing ol' big head was. Considering we have also lost Marshall and Evans for long periods, (two of our other better players IMO) I think we have had some good performances and results - and the fact we are discussing football rather than agents and owners speaks volumes for the improvement in some fans expectations.

However - None of the problems on field since GB took over warrant the level of hatred from some of you. I understand a lot of the worry - I am certainly just as worried about next sunday! But sacking GB a week before "the game we must not lose" is surely tantamount to idiocy?

This is not FM14 guys - Let's sack the guy Monday, Sign Jonny McManager tuesday, Sign two Centre backs on loan from premier league teams Wednesday, Bed in the new 4123 formation on Thursday, Pub friday saturday and three points Sunday.

If it was, you'd all be on Soccer Saturday, laughing your way to the another SEM winecooler.
