Was at the game, cant remember us dominating a team like this in quite some time, king was very good up the wing, bit rubbish when up front with rhodes, best had a good game too, when hes on the pitch the long balls make sense as he was an excellent target man today, when subbed the long balls werent amounting to anything imo

second half took foot off gas for sure, must admit when their guy got red i thought we might continue racking up the goals and to be honest with the chances we had even in the second half we should have scored a few more, almost like our players were afraid to shoot? the red card and our subs cough*olsson*cough seemed to swing the game in bournemouths favour for the remainder of the game but our firs half show had already wrapped it up, have to wonder whether they would have scored had kean stayed in his area but absolutely thrilled to see us win 3-1 away from home

Didn't go the game so can't talk too much about specifics but delighted with the result, glad GB changed the line up for an away performance and gave the opposition something to worry about in terms of us attacking. Maybe 4-4-2 would be a tad risky against a good Watford team on Tuesday but the first half showed what we can do with an in form King tearing away down the left.

Little gripe would be that we didn't carry on in the second half against 10 men and conceded a goal, but having not seen the game maybe Bournemouth deserve alittle credit for changing their system and partially us taking the foot off the pedal helped them.

Thought Simon Garner made a good point on Radio Lancs tonight about us now matching teams for effort, he said and I very agree that last season we barely matched anybody for effort and results showed but this season we have more fight about us and having a reasonably talented squad matched with workrate should see us past a lot more teams this season.

A great day out at bournemouth. Really professional performance.

Evans is a real terrier in the centre of midfield.

One area for improvement would be king, best and rhodes playing more like an attacking unit than 3 individuals but hopefully that will come.

Bowyer and the team deserve a lot of praise today

Great credit today to GB for his tactics and selection. By playing two up front he nullified one of Bournemouths strengths of playing the ball from the back through midfield. Several outstanding performers with King being the best of these for me. A slight worry is the number of silly yellow cards we got which were possibly avoidable. It caused two players to be substituted and in a tighter game could be costly. All in all a really good days work from the team and also the fans were terrific.

I'm really pleased with the reports about Evans. I think he could be a very very important player for us this season.

Really good win today and it was just the tonic ahead of a match against a good Watford side.

Our lot can surprise a few this season. I just hope Venkys let it take its course.

not been home long, it was a fantastic game. as i said in my earlier post it was men vs boys out there. lowe and evans dominated CM, and they played to their strengths, win the ball back and play an easy ball to carney/king. hats off to evans for his assist to best i thought he would shoot but he made the right choice.

I was a bit concerned before the game with cairney out on the right i thought it would hinder his creativity but he was really good there, he is pure class we need to be trying our hardest to sign him come january. Josh king was unplayable until he was sent up top. it made me laugh that they wasnt even marking him, he was receiving the ball in 25 yards of space in all directions and skinning whoever he ran at, at one point in the second half he had enough time to trip up the ball and fall on his arse and still retain possession easily.

Best was everything Rhodes isn't, put himself about and bullied their defenders until he got booked. took his goal well.

after the changes in the second half we were very flat due to losing king out on the left in favour of olsson best up top. king just isnt a striker.

Man of the match for me was king, totally unplayable when he was on the left. i was really impressed with evans and lowe together and could form a decent partnership together.

Jordan did ok, not his best. he should have had at least 4.

Kean made one good save from close range but also flapped at a few crosses.

I hope Sparky Marky apologise for his very sad and pathetic comments about them now. they was no need to said them.

Also Sparky Marky, looks like your prediction was totally wrong and looks like Bowyer will be staying as manager. :D bet you are very disappoint by it. what a bloody shame :D

Speaking of WUMS/Trolls has Mercerman totally disappeared? Did he not reemerge for a bit of doom mongery after the Leicester game?

I haven't seen the goal but I hope either Kean or Kane weren't at fault as it's been a recurring theme this season

When we win we win well it seems, I'd take a gritty 1-0 on Tuesday :)

kean id say, he had no need to be that far out of his goal

I'd say Hanley was just as culpable as Kean tbh. No need to be dashing that far to nick the ball. He left the rest sadly exposed. But I do agree that Kean should have stayed on his line and let his centre halves deal with it.

Why the hell are people picking holes in the performance by looking for culprits in the goal we conceeded?

FFS enjoy the win, switch of the PC and have a face to face conversation with someone, it'll do you the world of good!

All credit to the fans that made the trip, I hear the turnout was impressive, you deserved the win and I hope you all enjoyed it :tu:

Great win today, vital we follow it up with 3 points on Tuesday.

This League can turn on it's head in a week if you can string three wins together back to back.

8 in 9 for Rhodes. Wish he'd stop scoring then we could bring someone in to hold up the ball. Lol.

Well said. Lose or draw v Watford and Rhodes doesn't score then they'll all be back :)

Nowt wrong with looking at the whole performance Gav

Not even sure what the second line has to do with anything to be honest

As for the third, agreed by all accounts they were fantastic and Tom Cairney made a point of mentioning them on twitter

The second line means, the sad keans that want to analyse the goal we conceeded should get a keaning life, social interaction is a wonderful thing, life does exist outside the bedroom/PC :tu:

The again its Saturday night and I'm on here :lol:

I'm with you there Gav then again I had a nice night with the wife and son now led on my setee with a can of Budweiser watching the highlights - its not all bad :P

Hang on have I just made a Mercerman post there?

Where is Mercer I miss his often alternative view on things he was a good counterbalance I felt and spoke sense about the actual football

I thought for a sec you were looking to take over his mantle Tom. ;)

Glass half full or half empty and all that!

Great win today, 3-0 up at half time, a couple of yellows and 2 more games coming up this week, Bowyer had to change things with the points in the bag and that clearly upset the momentum.

I think we're all that used to focusing on negatives, we overlook the positives.

He was not. I've been reading this board since its very beginning, and trust me.. There are so many posters that should be missed before that attentionseeking whore.

May I replace Mercer? I put £1000 on Bolton not winning a game by the end of september. I'm buying every cow I can find in India right now. They are being slaughtered and abused, to the pleasure of my wife. Good times.
