FGS5635 Posted October 10, 2013 Posted October 10, 2013 I think most of us would argue he retireded 18 months ago
DavidMailsTightPerm Posted October 10, 2013 Posted October 10, 2013 Shame he didn't mention Rovers - and thank us for making one last unexpected contribution to his retirement fund.
Blue Cabbage Posted October 10, 2013 Posted October 10, 2013 Cheers Danny, sad day for all concerned. Self-important lazy @#/?
Leonard Venkhater Posted October 10, 2013 Posted October 10, 2013 I think most of us would argue he retireded 18 months ago That's nothing. I thought he was dead!....Replaced by Albert R.N in a Rovers strip
SAS Posted October 10, 2013 Posted October 10, 2013 Think I only saw one game in which he looked interested.... Clearly has lost it if he is retiring.
Majiball Posted October 10, 2013 Author Posted October 10, 2013 i think his wife was more interested than he was.
Guest Norbert Posted October 10, 2013 Posted October 10, 2013 He'll be straight onto the MOTD panel with the other ex-Rover slaphead Alan Shearer. Alan is boring but at least he did it on the pitch. Not like Murphy, who was only moderately talented at Premier league level.
Leonard Venkhater Posted October 10, 2013 Posted October 10, 2013 I don't recall him ever playing for us. Yep. Murphy is an illusion...Perhaps, we'll all wake up to find Venky's, Kean etc never happened....
T.J.Newton Posted October 10, 2013 Posted October 10, 2013 I don't recall him ever playing for us. that depends how you define "playing" (he was physically on the pitch maybe a couple of dozen times)
Amo Posted October 10, 2013 Posted October 10, 2013 that depends how you divine "playing" (he was physically on the pitch maybe a couple of dozen times) That was the joke.
T.J.Newton Posted October 10, 2013 Posted October 10, 2013 That was the joke. was it, thanks for bringing that to my attention.
Backroom Mike E Posted October 10, 2013 Backroom Posted October 10, 2013 That was the joke. Is it ok to read this in Ranier Wolfcastle's voice?
T.J.Newton Posted October 10, 2013 Posted October 10, 2013 ill let you off since you have one of my favourite movie characters of all time as your avatar(Kilmer was cool as feck in that film, "Ill be your Huckleberry")
tkturner Posted October 10, 2013 Posted October 10, 2013 Should have heard him on talksport this morning, christ, there was some serious piping each other off between him and Colin Murray... Murphy took us for a ride, should be ashamed of himself, clearly wasn't good/fit enough to continue putting a shift in

Murphy took us for a ride, should be ashamed of himself, clearly wasn't good/fit enough to continue putting a shift inThis sums uo Sums up so much that is nauseous about football culture. There really does seem to be no shame, merely self indulgence and flattery.Murray is such n unctuous toad! I heard Redknapp on his show( someone turned over from Radio 4!!!) trying to justify the timing of his..er...book with his comments about England players, wanting 'Arry to get the national job etc in the very week before the qualifying fixtures.." It's not my fault, they chose to launch the book this week..." and then....after his vociferous ( and reasonable) complaints that The Sun were tipped off and accompanied the police to the dawn raid of his home, he is quite happy to make dirty money writing articles for the same rag...You couldn't make it up! This is the culture that colluded with Kean and vilified Rovers fans... OOPS, Looks like you touched that nerve again...
Guest Norbert Posted October 10, 2013 Posted October 10, 2013 Danny Murphy during his time running the midfield at Ewood Park.
Baz Posted October 10, 2013 Posted October 10, 2013 Danny Murphy during his time running the midfield at Ewood Park. Should that not be ruining?
tomphil Posted October 10, 2013 Posted October 10, 2013 Should have heard him on talksport this morning, christ, there was some serious piping each other off between him and Colin Murray... Murphy took us for a ride, should be ashamed of himself, clearly wasn't good/fit enough to continue putting a shift in Murray is probably a Liverpool fan or something, don't suppose he asked him about his time at Rovers/ charlton and was it Spurs? A flop at all of them but that's now over looked. He wouldn't get a look in at the beeb if he didn't have Kean style connections no matter who he'd played for. How long before the pair of them rock up together on the screen, sat grinning on the sofa.
92er Posted October 10, 2013 Posted October 10, 2013 I thought the thread was going to be about John Williams.
