LDRover Posted October 15, 2013 Posted October 15, 2013 I think it's down to people getting fed up of arguing. No we're not

ABBEY Posted October 15, 2013 Posted October 15, 2013 Listening to this and what a horrible snivelling pathetic excuse of a man shaw is .
yoda's brother Posted October 15, 2013 Posted October 15, 2013 Now there's a man who looks like you can depend on him in a crisis, full of capability, imaginative solutions, verve and vigour. "Right lads, let's get this chair budget sorted before we suffer an embargo." is that don estelle ?
SIMON GARNERS 194 Posted October 15, 2013 Posted October 15, 2013 And yet the people who own our club are STILL yet to engage in any meaningful discussion with the fans.
JAL Posted October 15, 2013 Posted October 15, 2013 Sounds like theres a positive feel good a factor at the club once more on the playing side long may that continue and be allowed to grow.
Stuart Posted October 15, 2013 Posted October 15, 2013 Sounds like theres a positive feel good a factor at the club once more on the playing side long may that continue and be allowed to grow. Bit like admiring the sheen on a polished turd. But I know what you mean.
Rover_Shaun Posted October 15, 2013 Posted October 15, 2013 If only the attendees at the Q&A used as much energy trying to find out if the owners had any actual intentions of running the club properly as there has been discussing how some posters would like the forum to be censored and only positive opinions allowed to be aired
T.J.Newton Posted October 15, 2013 Posted October 15, 2013 Did people really pay for their tickets to go to this PR exercise!
Rover_Shaun Posted October 15, 2013 Posted October 15, 2013 Proceeds went to the Balaji Shirt Button Fund
Bucksrover Posted October 15, 2013 Posted October 15, 2013 If we were to win back to back titles there would be people on this messageboard saying - 'but venkys haven't actually said sorry to me' I don't want to hear from venkys, i want them to keep doing what they have been this season - backing bowyer and keeping out of football matters. Still, if you take away some fans' reason to hate and be angry/miserable they would be lost. Time to stop crying over spilt milk and support rovers. A question and answer session with the fans can only be good. In my opinion.
Rover_Shaun Posted October 15, 2013 Posted October 15, 2013 Backing Bowyer? In what way? The poor fella has had to trim the wage bill and shop in primark
Bluemonday BRFC Posted October 15, 2013 Posted October 15, 2013 Is anyone else having technical difficulty listening to the BBC Radio Lancashire podcast? For one it won't let me skip the first 15 minutes, so I've had to listen to their build up to the England match twice and now its only got to play as far as 23 minutes before freezing and buffering? Alhough might be doing myself a favour to sack off Shaw's blubbering...
Rover_Shaun Posted October 15, 2013 Posted October 15, 2013 Audio Boo links part1 http://t.co/oCb44E7EQr part2 http://t.co/uhIJk2jJ2q part3 http://t.co/CGety1Bj2P Only took 14 mins for a 'madame' reference. I know it's smallfry but it makes me cringe when the manager uses the phrase. It does him no favours
Sparky Marky Posted October 15, 2013 Posted October 15, 2013 Backing Bowyer? In what way? The poor fella has had to trim the wage bill and shop in primark Not really, he just shops in primark because he knows no better....we have a budget this season and its been wasted on mediocre
Brfcrule1 Posted October 15, 2013 Posted October 15, 2013 I must say I enjoyed last night and I finally managed to achieve the one task I was after and that is to get Gaz Bowyer's autograph and photo such a lovely affable chap he is and a pleasure to speak with. I must also say it was a pleasure to chat with Glen Mullan, Paul Keogh & Fernhurst rover on here it was good to speak to these guys esp Fernhurst who is quite knowledgeable on accounting matters although rovers a/c's seems serious he really knows his stuff and although the figures looks bad it's interesting to hear the full picture and Fernhurst I must say had some very encouraging words with my impending move Blackburn and it was good to get advice from Glen,Paul & Fernhurst about shaddy and with the move now all sorted am looking forward to my second coming & thanks to everyone for their advice.
Sparky Marky Posted October 15, 2013 Posted October 15, 2013 Gaz?? He doesn't look like a Gaz.....Has he authorised you to shorten his name, like you're his drinking pal?
Brfcrule1 Posted October 15, 2013 Posted October 15, 2013 Sparky for all you know I may be his drinking pal!
meerkat Posted October 16, 2013 Posted October 16, 2013 Backing Bowyer? In what way? The poor fella has had to trim the wage bill and shop in primark Some of those Primark buys put the Harrod's ones to shame.
Rover_Shaun Posted October 16, 2013 Posted October 16, 2013 Some of those Primark buys put the Harrod's ones to shame. That wasn't the point though. We are nowhere near Promotion candidates so if it really is sh.it or bust this season Venkys have a strange way of backing the manager. It's like wanting to travel in style but only supplying a bus pass

Was nice to meet you mate, it's good when you get chance to talk face to face after many conversations on forums. Good luck with the move

McClarky Posted October 16, 2013 Posted October 16, 2013 Let's buy 3 more Danny Murhpys is what your saying? He obviously isn't saying that. This summer we bought players who would be competitive at this level and got rid of some Danny Murphys but the point is if Venkys were going for S..t or bust they would have been trying to get the best players from other clubs at this level not what we ended up with. GB has assembled an OK squad who could finish above half way and even challenge for top 6 if things go our way but that might not be anywhere near enough if things behind the scenes continue to spiral out of control.
FGS5635 Posted October 16, 2013 Posted October 16, 2013 You say things behind the scenes are spiralling out of control, yet you demand they spend loads more to get promoted. Is that not spiralling more out of control? We got off to a slow start which imo was understandable with all the new players, new manager etc. But we have settled now and bar a stupid hanley red card would be on a damm good run We may or may not go up this year, but I havent seen anything yet that convinces me we cant

Venkys aren't prepared to really go for it so we are still losing money hand over fist and unlikely in my opinion to go up. The worst of both worlds in other words. While these clowns are in control things will continue to spiral no matter who is the manager or what players we have got so I would have liked to see us selling another 5 or 6 squad players, buying less new players and trying to get our operating costs to a manageable level.
