what mediocre players??? ffs. you don't have a clue about the players we signed. most of this season signings were the right type of players we needed. a lot of the signings have experience of the Championship and what it takes to play in this league. that what we need this season!!! agreed I couldn't give a toss anymore about Kean. cant stand hearing and seeing that name. He gone now and I want to forget about his time as manager at Rovers. we need to focus on this season and supporting the players, manager and club this season

Agree with this.

Robbie Simpson on trial...? A forward who has scored 16 goals in 6 years playing at a lower level.....that's feckin mediocre

I'd blame Venkys if he is having to look at this type of player.

Bowyer can really only be judged by what he gets these players to do on the pitch.

Aye, that kiwi from the US and that big black dude from a german c-team were feckin mediocre too.

Surely you're best waiting to see if/how this guy plays for us? Certainly no reason to get upset at someone being on trial.

Judge marrow taylor Marshall ....there's 4 without even thinking. ..

Marshall will be very good signing. Taylor and Judge will be good signings.Marrow is ok.

why dont you give players some time to settle in and stop being so bloody negative.

i thought you would be too busy listening to Colin on Talksport.

Why can you not appreciate others won't see it in the manner you do? You offer nothing to the debate other than I'm right you're wrong, because.

Your whole response is based on nothing other than hope.

Why can't you understand we're all different and will see the same thing differently, you want to be treated a certain way IE with respect and yet you show others none of this. People like you are the reason I don't post on here as much anymore, it's like talking to a 4 year old (hence my 4 year old response last night).

Marshall WILL be a very good signing, Taylor and Judge will be good signings??? You do understand that by saying will you're actually agreeing with him as you infer that at present they aren't good or very good signings. Stop being so bloody negative Chaddy, everything great at rovers!!!!!

I suggest you do listen to Colin, you might learn something.

The Scot has spoken!!!

I realise that I'm being hypocritical as I've spent the last couple days trying to generate more debate on here and calm. But peolpe like Chaddy who pick out one isolated comment and focus on that in the manner they IE you wrong, me right, because, really @#/? me off and I know I'm not alone. Look at the Rhodes debate recently, yes he scores goals but he also can be a hindrance, why is that so hard to accept, it's true. People go and watch the games and then get hounded by mongs who didn't even listen to it on the radio, it's a joke. It's little wonder we see so little debate on here and the posts are disappearing, if you want to change my mind and others, do so with reason, facts, figures substance not because. Look at FGS's responses, he tries to reason to persuade, he gets a civil response, Chaddy (remember our agreement chaddy?) doesn't to anyone so he won't get a civil response he'll get Kean plastered all over the message board. Yes it's an overreaction, but it's a reaction to years of his I'm right, you're wrong because and breaking his word like a Roa. I know people won't see things in the same manner I do, but that's how I see it and I'm fed up with it. I come here to keep in touch with fellow rovers, have a bit of banter and discussion about something important in my life. I do not come here to have people disrespectfully demand I change my view based on nothing but hope and conjecture.

Nothing wrong with being postive Al but I do agree with Maji in that Chaddy uses positivity as a type of proof and gets stroppy when people use logic to see it another way

Your disgraceful use of the word "mongs" should alone earn you a ban from this message board

I think you need to lighten up a bit meadows...

kean 2 (mɒŋ)

n slang ( Brit ) a stupid or foolish person

[C20: a shortening of mongol ]

Taken from dictionary.com

EDIT: Ha Ha the term m-o-n-g has automatically been replaced by Kean! :D

The discussion about Bowyer just entirely misses the point really. He's doing OK, not great, not bad. He's certainly improved the side, but let's be honest, from where we were, with being allowed to swell the squad by adding 13 players of his own - and in such a poor league, it wouldn't be unrealistic to expect any manager to make us into a mid table team. If as a fan you're just happy to go through the ritual of pre game drinks on a match day with a bit of optimism for a change, see a rovers team go out and enjoy their football, score a few goals and win a few games for the first time in many a year, then that's fine. Let's be honest, there are a lot of fans with that outlook.

If on the other hand you worry about next season and for the clubs future, you might think the decision of appointing a rookie manager, allowing him free range in the transfer market, accepting that even the play offs might not save the club from the impending - then you probably see things differently.

All about people's perceptions of the situation facing the club.

For me there is a collection of people on here these days who just say you're wrong, because. Chaddy is far from alone. Look at the Rhodes debate, you have those who have actually watched the whole 90 min being batted down when they say he needs to do more, by people who have seen nothing more than 30seconds of highlights. These people then stop posting, they've like a mob screaming two legs bad, four legs good, think like them or get hounded of the board. Because they see it differently.

Look at yesterday I post a comment on David Dunn to get Chaddy responding rudely and basically demanding I don't talk about Kean. No 1 I'm discussing Dunn not kean No 2 he completely ignores the point of the post No 3 demands that I change what I post to suit his feelings and completely ignore my own. Why should I do that for you when you can't even be civil or respectful towards me? Do as I say not do as I do?

You missed a half time pie which is cruicial to enjoying any rovers game :) but jokes aside I can see your point. Me personally I see us as better that a midtable side tho and I suspect a few others do to. I know you can say the league doesnt lie and midtable is where we are, but I think this is in large part down to an expected slow start after all the changes. I genuinley believe after what I have seen so far that we are as good as anybody in this league and we will finish in the top 6. Clearly I have no proof of this and I accept this can be judged as over optimistic by some, but its what I believe.

After hearing some of the news coming out of the Monday Q&A for me what looks pretty evident is that we are trying to shape up the team ahead of next summer. If we are looking to bring in Cairney in January, to me that points to the fact that the owners are happy to trust Bowyer as so far we are going in the right direction. Overall I really really wouldn't over think the implications of the FFP. There are so many clubs in our division and the UK who are in the same position as us, okay maybe not with the same level of debt but they will fail to comply with the FFP. Also like with all rules and regulations, there will always be loophole around the FFP, which I am sure clubs will little by little begin to exploit. Come next summer it is easy to see in my eyes that should we not go up that the main objective will be to bring the wage budget down, by selling the likes of Robinson, Ribiero, Etuhu, Best, and whoever we don't need. We are lucky that we are in a position where we do have a number of strong assets we can sell at a good profit with the likes of Hanley, Dann, Rhodes, Rochina, if he continues his form Josh King, and so forth. While it may be a while before we go up, under Gary Bowyer I trust him 110% that he is the man to take us forward. Yes it is early days, but in the short time he has been here, he has been able to by players for very little and delivered well. Come the summer if we don't go up, yes there will be an exodus of players, but not as drastic as we may imagine as all it takes is selling a couple of our prized assets likes Rhodes, and Dann, and whoever else and we will already be looking into the 15m+ money going into the club. Then again I am an optimist, so regardless of who perilous our position may be I would always see some sort of a light which see's us coming through.

I know what you mean maj

On the Rhodes subject if people discuss the limitations to his game and how he could improve you get called a 'hater' then when he scores people come on being all cocky and sarcastic like the fact that the qualities we all agree he has somehow makes the other side of the argument Disappear, it's like arguing with children

One of the worst offenders IMO is a long standing member who can't see past his own argument ever

Couldn't agree more.

But what to do about it?
