SoldierMo Posted October 24, 2013 Posted October 24, 2013 Suprised noone mentioned this but few tweets from Kamy today suggesting hes sources saying venkys have ignored another two approaches and although they taking speacialist advice on FFP they may reconsider their position end of season

Proudtobeblue&white Posted October 24, 2013 Posted October 24, 2013 Same old, same old. The masters of all things football; ignorance really is bliss in W*nykland. Ignore everything, hope it all turns out ok. See the podcast thread.....what state we will be in at season end is anyone's guess. They will leave carnage, as we ain't going up!
chocky Posted October 24, 2013 Posted October 24, 2013 Their position may change if we are not promoted..maybe that's what they mean...
Tyrone Shoelaces Posted October 24, 2013 Posted October 24, 2013 I can't see us going up on this form. I think they'll bale out then. Good riddance
Tyrone Shoelaces Posted October 24, 2013 Posted October 24, 2013 We'll never do anything whilst they are " in charge ". You work in a company, tomorrow none of the management team turn in. What happens ?
SIMON GARNERS 194 Posted October 24, 2013 Posted October 24, 2013 Frustrating and infuriating in both equal truly MASSIVE doses. They don't have a chuffing clue how to run this club and are losing money hand over fist...people are prepared to give them an escape route that would probably be for the benefit of both the club and the Pune gobshytes yet they stick their noses in the air like the arrogant jerks they are.... They are stupid beyond belief, even more than we dared possibly fear!
Guest Norbert Posted October 24, 2013 Posted October 24, 2013 Sorry but we've heard it all before. These ignorant tools are just going to let things drift and decline until there is nowt worth selling.
thenodrog Posted October 24, 2013 Posted October 24, 2013 Sorry but we've heard it all before. These ignorant tools are just going to let things drift and decline until there is nowt worth selling. Until we find our true level. Rem the Walker years were our very own Fantasy Island and just like Fantasy Island the plane came to take us home and back to the real world. Get used to it all you U30's we are where we belong..... or maybe just above.
Waggy76 Posted October 24, 2013 Posted October 24, 2013 Selling Rovers will be easier said than done. We were in a great position for several years when the Trust tried to sell us and, allegedly, it still took over three years to get it done. A couple of basic questions come to mind. Who will find Rovers attractive and profitable to buy? Will we be financially better off? As a fan things have improved since Summer. Be careful what you wish for as we're not at the bottom of the ocean yet. No , but we will be shortly with these clowns ...
Rover_Shaun Posted October 24, 2013 Posted October 24, 2013 This season has been a bit like spray painting over untreated rust.

martonrover Posted October 24, 2013 Posted October 24, 2013 Unless we are incredibly lucky our decline will continue whether they leave or not. The Championship probably is our natural level but the chances are we will plunge much lower. The damage they have inflicted, combined with the FFP rules, leaves us in a desparate situation.
Kamy100 Posted October 24, 2013 Posted October 24, 2013 Been busy today so just got round to checking the MB! I talked to a very good Venky's source early this morning. Source said that there had been a couple of approaches over the last couple of months and they had been totally ignored by the owners like the other approaches. Source did not know how serious these approaches were. Sources also admitted that FFP was a big concern for the owners and they are getting specialist advice on this. But the biggest thing that I took away from the chat this morning was that for the first time ever my source suggested that owners could have a serious rethink RE selling the club at the end of the season.

Who knows we could be lucky ! if not it would take some excellent management at boardroom level and a good number of years to rebuild, maybe on the Swansea model with some fan Involvement, look where they where 10 years ago, down and out. It can be done, plus we already have excellent facilities in place, unless of course Venky's sold them for housing.

Even if they do there are likely to be some very dark days ahead. Sounds like Venky's will bail at the end of the Season, if / when we fail to gain promotion.

Perhaps one of the family smells richer pickings in Brunei next season, getting the dream team back together

Just pointing out it can be done even without a huge fanbase, although let's not forget we had 2 years of 25,000 average gates before Venky's fecked it up. Certainly going to be an interesting few years, that's for sure !
broadsword Posted October 24, 2013 Posted October 24, 2013 just the thought is enough to make my socks sticky

Thanks for this. My understanding (based on not much tbh) is that family members were never in agreement, when serious decisions were required previously. Is your sense that the need for a "serious re think" is a shared position? Has your source ever shone any light on what is in it for the Venky's? ....beyond the desire to avoid of reputation damage from being seen by the world to have totally screwed up and run..
broadsword Posted October 24, 2013 Posted October 24, 2013 "Sports and health goes hand in hand and Venky’s has taken one step further by owningone of the most popular English Premiere League Club – Blackburn Rovers. Byfructifying this deal Venky’s has become the first Indian Company to achieve this fete. This club has a proud history as that of its owners and has won English Premiere Leaguefor three times and FA Cup six times in total. As a part of its future strategy, the VHGroup is determined to establish Blackburn Rovers as a truly global brand and take allefforts to ensure retaining and further upgrading its status of being one of the best runclubs within the premier League." http://www.venkys.com/group-profile/london-venkys/ So there you have it, Venky's have fructified us. New one on me.
SoldierMo Posted October 24, 2013 Author Posted October 24, 2013 I think balagi was the one who refused to agree to any consideration of a sale but hopefully hes interest is running out
neekoy Posted October 25, 2013 Posted October 25, 2013 Has someone told them that we are no longer in the Premiere league?
Paul Posted October 25, 2013 Posted October 25, 2013 Sources also admitted that FFP was a big concern for the owners and they are getting specialist advice on this. As I recall it the last time the Raos took "specialist advice" we got totally screwed.
Moderation Lead K-Hod Posted October 25, 2013 Moderation Lead Posted October 25, 2013 As I recall it the last time the Raos took "specialist advice" we got totally screwed. They're probably still confused.....
