[Archived] Loan Window

At this stage of the season we have seen enough now to know our strengths and weaknesses. With the loan window still open anyone any suggestions for 'Realistic' targets that we could maybe bring in on loan to help us out?

Just looking at some of the bigger prem clubs and the obvious one is Zaha imo

Absolutley no chance of getting Zaha and Butland is on loan at Barnsley.

Two players that I'd get in on loan would be Owen Garvan and Nicky Maynard.

D'oh didnt realise butland had gone there. Damm thats a fall from grace.

I thought I read moyes had said this week he would look to loan zaha out? Could be wrong

Aye he's that good a mate with Moyes that we have the pick of all their good young players. Who all seem to be going elsewhere? Powell and Lingaard would have been nice and yet?

Are you sugeesting moyes doesnt like the loveable mr shaw? Thats outrageous :)

Who knows the reason we haven't been able to take advantage of this contact. But clearly it wasn't as strong a one as we thought otherwise we'd have one or two here. Zaha can't join a prem club till Jan and is rotting away in the ressies, we'll play him for ya mate till Jan, come on mate help us out, blah blah and yet nothing. The whole game is about mates and looking after them and vice versa. But given shaw can't use a fax perhaps the real issue is that he can't contact Moyes as phones are pretty similar to faxes in their function. If only you could communicate through shelves we'd be laughing.

Where's Joe Kinear when you need him

Before looking at goalkeepers and strikers we dearly need a attacking midfielder in the Rochina or Dunn mold, our best games this season have all come with a player like that supporting Rhodes up front.

Very true but its a case of who. I looked through all of the premier league team squads when creating this thread and nothing really jumps out at you as a realistic option. So that leaves an untested youngster who hasnt played yet or somebody from abroad which are both a bit risky

The one and only use shaw has is he is good mates with moyes. You never know I guess

Poor Derek makes one 1.5 million "mistake" and everybody forgets about the great deal he got on chairs. Saved the club a couple of thousand pound apparently, wonder where he got them from sounds a bargain.

He's also acquaintances with Moyes's football agent brother Kenny , perhaps he owes Degsy one if he's sent any lucrative work his way and could find us a player or two (for a fee of course)
