T.J.Newton Posted November 15, 2013 Posted November 15, 2013 The off-side rule and what English football and footballers have become over the last 15 years- joyless, generic, middle class tosh(unless rovers are winning of course ) Bring Back The Tackle!
FGS5635 Posted November 15, 2013 Posted November 15, 2013 Starting milner in centre mid. Nothing at all to be gained from it, especially with Barkley and others on the bench
Backroom DE. Posted November 15, 2013 Backroom Posted November 15, 2013 Starting milner in centre mid. Nothing at all to be gained from it, especially with Barkley and others on the bench I'm not watching England but for @#/? sake. Milner has to be one of the least inspirational players to ever play for England... especially when he's put in roles where he's expected to be creative.

Stuart Posted November 15, 2013 Posted November 15, 2013 I thought this forum was a football free zone?
Backroom DE. Posted November 15, 2013 Backroom Posted November 15, 2013 I thought this forum was a football free zone? Only if it's everybody's favourite hate figure, I guess (by that I mean JR, btw )
LDRover Posted November 15, 2013 Posted November 15, 2013 I thought this forum was a football free zone? It is if we're discussing Milner.
Tyrone Shoelaces Posted November 15, 2013 Posted November 15, 2013 It is if we're discussing Milner. He sums up what is wrong with English football for me. He can run a bit, pass it a bit , head it a bit, tackle a bit but is totally unable to do anything constructive or inspirational. He wouldn't have got in the good Rovers sides we've had over the last 20 years but he's got God knows how many caps for England.
Backroom Tom Posted November 15, 2013 Backroom Posted November 15, 2013 I thought this forum was a football free zone? Don't turn into one of those stu
thenodrog Posted November 16, 2013 Posted November 16, 2013 Blokes who worked locally earning good cash at places like ICI, Crown, ROF, Mullards etc. did very little but plenty of overtime, got handsome redundancy payments and now moan like f### because not only do they not get 25-30k a year or copious OT but they actually have to graft. And the stupid feckers wonder why the places where they used to work aren't there anymore. Economic illiterates who blame workers receiving decent living wages for the demise of badly managed companies or companies forced to close through a lack of government support and industrial policy. Both make valid points imo. The workers took the p1ss and elected politically motivated left wing unions and the management left themselves open to criticism and accusation because they either failed or didn't have the balls or the wit to sack off the shirkers and troublemakers, put the unions in their place and stamp out bad practice from the off. The only criticism of Margaret Thatcher is that she was born 10 years too late.
broadsword Posted November 16, 2013 Posted November 16, 2013 Metrosexual man-bags, moisturisers and "guy-liners" for men, women's hair-do's for fellas, jeans that don't fit and slide down your rear-end (as previously noted), wtf is that all about? MTFU.
Stuart Posted November 16, 2013 Posted November 16, 2013 You've really upset me, Bryan. It's not what you said, it's the way that you said it. x
Paul Posted November 16, 2013 Posted November 16, 2013 Guy-liner? Had to Google that! I've now discovered manscara.....

The only criticism of Margaret Thatcher is that she was born 10 years too late. unions rightly fought for their members to share in corporate success, a decent living wage for workers and better working conditions and practices. Management meanwhile paid themselves grotesque salaries and bonuses, a practice that continues to this day resulting in the widening gap between rich and poor. The only criticism of Thatcher is that she was born at all - without her we might still have a significant industrial base instead of this lop-sided unbalanced economy based on financial services in the southeast. Voila. Corrected it for you.

cn174 Posted November 16, 2013 Posted November 16, 2013 Supposidly recaptcha helps to digitise books...where have they found all these illegible books from?!
Rover95 Posted November 16, 2013 Posted November 16, 2013 Cyclists who won't abide by the rules of the road . I nearly knocked one off his bike this morning as he cut up another motorist and then drove down a one way street that I was coming out of. Do these people have a death wish.? They shouldn't be allowed on the road.
T.J.Newton Posted November 16, 2013 Posted November 16, 2013 When and where possible why aren't cycle paths combined with the pavement? this is how its done in Berlin-Germany and it works great for everybody, they just split the pavement in 2 with a line or different surface and everybody stays in their own area(motor vehicles on the roads, cyclists on the outside halve of the pavement and walkers on the inside, everybody there knows the rules and fastidiously sticks to them=Germany and if a pedestrian does get in the way of a cyclist or visa versa, expect some verbals!(which is a better option than being hit by a motor vehicle!).
