Backroom Mike E Posted November 9, 2013 Backroom Posted November 9, 2013 Well you need to grow up as well and stop hiding behind lame excuses concerning our support. Yes we have a few idiots that need putting down, but to claim you dont go because I dont want to sit with racists yobbos is ill-informed and to be frank bloody offensive to 99% of Rovers fans at Brighton today. Offensive? How? Good on them for going, but I haven't. Why are people not allowed to have their reasons not to attend? It's not ill-informed at all, btw. Having attended every away game in Lancashire and Yorkshire last season, the only times I DIDN'T hear some eejit spouting racist crap were at Huddersfield and Barnsley. I think you need to grow up and understand that some people would rather do other things than force themselves into the company of a few morons. Those few morons genuinely DO spoil the experience for me. And now I'm left pondering why I'm letting 3 letters on the internet judge me for how I spend my free time. Such a strange boy.

adsfortheblues Posted November 9, 2013 Posted November 9, 2013 The last time I went to an away match I was genuinely afraid amongst our own supporters. I now only attend home matches. Why have you just come out with that?
Amo Posted November 9, 2013 Posted November 9, 2013 Silly silly sub by Bowyer after he's been out so long. Slow and clumsy at the best of times is Etuhu but throwing him on at this stage was plain niave or bowing to the pressure of the big name. Perhaps, or Bowyer's giving him one last chance to save his career here. I'd be surprised if we see much of him again if it carries on like this.
LDRover Posted November 9, 2013 Posted November 9, 2013 Bowyer's been guilty of making negative substitutions a few times this season. This one is not only negative, it's inexplicable.
Al Posted November 9, 2013 Posted November 9, 2013 Why have you just come out with that? Try reading back 5 or 6 minutes.
Neal Posted November 9, 2013 Posted November 9, 2013 Why not just move Cairney inside? I'm a fan of Bowyer but he has to take this one on the chin... Awful decision. Taylor or Marshall should have come on.
Backroom Tom Posted November 9, 2013 Backroom Posted November 9, 2013 Paul Wheelock reckons Best isn't injured If true once again you have to ask questions of some of the decisions the manager is making in not having a striker available and bringing on an unfit player With half an hour gone
SoldierMo Posted November 9, 2013 Posted November 9, 2013 Best is useless wudnt make a diff if hes in bench
OJRovers Posted November 9, 2013 Posted November 9, 2013 Paul Wheelock reckons Best isn't injured If true once again you have to ask questions of some of the decisions the manager is making in not having a striker available and bringing on an unfit player With half an hour gone Best is blatently not injured. Bad egg in the squad. I agree with bowyer leaving him out, total waste of money and disrespecting the club.
Backroom Tom Posted November 9, 2013 Backroom Posted November 9, 2013 I expect Etuhu to be sent off within 15 minutes
grizfoot Posted November 9, 2013 Posted November 9, 2013 Bowyer's been guilty of making negative substitutions a few times this season. This one is not only negative, it's inexplicable. That's a bit much. Etuhu is the only like-for-like replacement for Williamson on the bench. 0-0 away from home in the first-half no need to get too adventurous in chasing the game and wanted to keep to the same style/tactics.
mattjansen Posted November 9, 2013 Posted November 9, 2013 Why not just move Cairney inside? I'm a fan of Bowyer but he has to take this one on the chin... Awful decision. Taylor or Marshall should have come on. I dont see how you can blame Gary, a holding midfielder for another
Backroom Tom Posted November 9, 2013 Backroom Posted November 9, 2013 I dont see how you can blame Gary, a holding midfielder for another You can't see the flaw in bringing on a player that has hardly kicked a ball in 11 months?
tomphil Posted November 9, 2013 Posted November 9, 2013 Perhaps, or Bowyer's giving him one last chance to save his career here. I'd be surprised if we see much of him again if it carries on like this. Maybe but it's still a poor decision to throw a player on who's been out so long and had so little training games. He wasn't even warmed up or ready to go on. It's a cop out for me from Bowyer to throw him on as a like for like sub and save him the big decision of having to drop someone to bring him back because he and his agent are moaning for a game. I like GB and i may be wrong but im angry at him for this. he needs subbing because he'll be sent off before the end. Man up Gary !
tomphil Posted November 9, 2013 Posted November 9, 2013 I dont see how you can blame Gary, a holding midfielder for another Sorry but we've plenty options to shuffle a bit as has been proved before.
OJRovers Posted November 9, 2013 Posted November 9, 2013 Sorry if I've missed it bit why no Hanley? I'd drop Dann.
Backroom Tom Posted November 9, 2013 Backroom Posted November 9, 2013 How many saves is der bloidy kewper makinI know I'll get picked up for being mean to Kean again but you have to wonder how many points better off we would have been with a keeper like Kuszack inThen again I think he's too good for this league 2-0 move along nothing to see here Sounds like Kane given one away cheaply again
moerpho Posted November 9, 2013 Posted November 9, 2013 2-0 after a preiod of great pressure from Rovers.....difference between the teams? Brighton have a competent keeper amongst other things......blech.....
SoldierMo Posted November 9, 2013 Posted November 9, 2013 2-0 game set match crapppp sub crap crap crap
Neal Posted November 9, 2013 Posted November 9, 2013 Sh*te. Again, far too inconsistent. Good football but individual mistakes cost us again, sounds all too familiar.
RevidgeBlue Posted November 9, 2013 Posted November 9, 2013 1-0 HT bowyer messes up bringing an unfit player on, unfit player plays crap and concedes a penalty Rhodes misses a Header Their keeper shows what a class keeper can do to prevent Spurr Sounds about it I can see nothing wrong at all with selecting Etuhu, he's had a long recuperation from injury, must be judged fully fit by the medicsl staff and has had a couple of warm up games. Not Bowyer's fault Etuhu has given away an unnecessary penalty. According to the radio Rhodes had a header very well saved just before half time if that's the one you're on about. Why use the performance of the Brighton keeper to have a competely unwarranted dig at Kean when he's done nothing wrong today and kept a clean sheet last week?
