LDRover Posted November 9, 2013 Posted November 9, 2013 That's a bit much. Etuhu is the only like-for-like replacement for Williamson on the bench. 0-0 away from home in the first-half no need to get too adventurous in chasing the game and wanted to keep to the same style/tactics. According to reports we'd hardly been in the game and created nothing. Get Cairney central and get Taylor on. Ooops 2 down now, may as well make that change now.

Muddboy Posted November 9, 2013 Posted November 9, 2013 Rovers press the self-destruct button yet again! The sooner we realise that Kane needs to be dropped the better. He's awful at the moment.
cesus Posted November 9, 2013 Posted November 9, 2013 We get punished for EVERY mistake!!!!!! That is were you need a keeper to actually make saves.
tomphil Posted November 9, 2013 Posted November 9, 2013 The game has swung on that substitution. We're supposed to be building a young hardworking team yet at the drop of a hat bring on a huge dolloping old donkey who's been out 11 nonths with a bad injury and has barely kicked a ball in training for nearly a year. Plain daft !
Backroom DE. Posted November 9, 2013 Backroom Posted November 9, 2013 A typical performance and result for a team of our current quality. There will be a lot more of these types of games to come over the next few months folks, especially away from home. Let's hope Rochina's return gives us something extra at the top end of the pitch, as we desperately need some extra quality up there alongside Jordan.
Backroom Tom Posted November 9, 2013 Backroom Posted November 9, 2013 I can see nothing wrong at all with selecting Etuhu, he's had a long recuperation from injury, must be judged fully fit by the medicsl staff and has had a couple of warm up games. Not Bowyer's fault Etuhu has given away an unnecessary penalty. According to the radio Rhodes had a header very well saved just before half time if that's the one you're on about. Why use the performance of the Brighton keeper to have a competely unwarranted dig at Kean when he's done nothing wrong today and kept a clean sheet last week? It's the way I see it, you disagree that's fineIts a mistake throwing him in like that, wasn't a dig at Rhodes either I was just pointing out the two chances I had heard about. As for the keeper I think its fair to discuss our flaws, our keeper is amongst our biggest flaws, theirs has kept them in the lead and it makes a massive difference obviously

LDRover Posted November 9, 2013 Posted November 9, 2013 And why the hell are we playing 2 holding midfielders anyway?? If you attack and seize the initiative in this league, you win more than you lose.
moerpho Posted November 9, 2013 Posted November 9, 2013 Judge off for Dunn - can we at least score a goal perhaps?
RevidgeBlue Posted November 9, 2013 Posted November 9, 2013 There's no doubt we haven't been good enough overall thus far, to my mind we look poor without either a) Rochina or Dunn in the hole Or Cairney and Evans in the same midfield. Cairney really does need to be in the centre at the heart of things imo.
Al Posted November 9, 2013 Posted November 9, 2013 Judge off for Dunn - can we at least score a goal perhaps? At keaning last. About time and probably too late.
The Rover of Finland Posted November 9, 2013 Posted November 9, 2013 And why the hell are we playing 2 holding midfielders anyway?? If you attack and seize the initiative in this league, you win more than you lose. And bring Etuhu back just before there is another two week break.
moerpho Posted November 9, 2013 Posted November 9, 2013 Spurr hits the crossbar with a header - sounds like this is just not our day

Agree I find Cairney totally wasted out wide or in the hole he can't beat a man and his strong point is making things happen in the middle We have a few players who can play on the right (albeit not that amazingly) if needed
Muddboy Posted November 9, 2013 Posted November 9, 2013 It's quite telling when our biggest threat in front of goal is Tommy bleeding Spur!
RevidgeBlue Posted November 9, 2013 Posted November 9, 2013 And why the hell are we playing 2 holding mi bloofielders anyway?? If you attack and seize the initiative in this league, you win more than you lose. Good point, useful rule of thumb imo if you need to play two holding midfielders neither of them are any bloody good!

moerpho Posted November 9, 2013 Posted November 9, 2013 3-0....we really could do with a keeper like Kuzcak! Game over.
Neal Posted November 9, 2013 Posted November 9, 2013 I've stuck by Jake Kean but this is poor from him.
Backroom DE. Posted November 9, 2013 Backroom Posted November 9, 2013 Tom's favourite player does it again.
