Muddboy Posted November 9, 2013 Posted November 9, 2013 What a friggin' joke. Too many players believing their own hype, I reckon.

Hasta Posted November 9, 2013 Posted November 9, 2013 That's a bit much. Etuhu is the only like-for-like replacement for Williamson on the bench. 0-0 away from home in the first-half no need to get too adventurous in chasing the game and wanted to keep to the same style/tactics. So are you better changing tactics slightly and keeping your best players on the pitch? Or stick to your tactics at all costs even if it means putting the worst player available on. When the substitution was made no-one on here thought it was a good idea. It wasnt. Another harsh lesson for Bowyer.
Backroom DE. Posted November 9, 2013 Backroom Posted November 9, 2013 At least Jake's usual ridiculous mistake came at a fairly unimportant time in this match.
SoldierMo Posted November 9, 2013 Posted November 9, 2013 Ethu neva shud play again and keane neeeds to b droppes the useless turd
OJRovers Posted November 9, 2013 Posted November 9, 2013 Must be someone available on an emergency loan.
DavidMailsTightPerm Posted November 9, 2013 Posted November 9, 2013 What a friggin' joke. Too many players believing their own hype, I reckon. Defensively we have been poor - but listening on the radio it isn't for lack of effort - and by the sounds of it we have bene the best team by far - excluding the Brighton keeper !
RibbleValleyRover Posted November 9, 2013 Posted November 9, 2013 Mid-table scrap between two mid-table sides, not going to win them all.
adsfortheblues Posted November 9, 2013 Posted November 9, 2013 This is why bowyer worries me, has loyalties to some of the worst players in the squad.
SoldierMo Posted November 9, 2013 Posted November 9, 2013 Really need a keeper on loan even a 2nd or 3rd choice keeper at a prem club will b better
Backroom Tom Posted November 9, 2013 Backroom Posted November 9, 2013 Not seen it so would be hypocritical to say too much I can say this though, yes he is young but he is also a pretty poor keeper! One of them days from a team that will have many of these and many good games over the season, we are mid table quality and show that week on week Its frustrating when its so avoidable though
JAL Posted November 9, 2013 Posted November 9, 2013 I've stuck by Jake Kean but this is poor from him. Same here time to be dropped though Eastwood is not the answer either. Wonder were our super duper Jason Lowe is our so called midfield general.
DavidMailsTightPerm Posted November 9, 2013 Posted November 9, 2013 Same here time to be dropped though Eastwood is not the answer either. Wonder were our super duper Jason Lowe is our so called midfield general. Your pursuit of Lowe is not only boring but also distasteful.
saxo1man30 Posted November 9, 2013 Posted November 9, 2013 pressure firmly on bowyer now. the poor guy is being asked to make promotion contenders out of a squad that clearly ain`t quite upto it..
Backroom DE. Posted November 9, 2013 Backroom Posted November 9, 2013 Same here time to be dropped though Eastwood is not the answer either. Wonder were our super duper Jason Lowe is our so called midfield general. Lowe only plays well if those around him also play well. Not the type of player to take a game by the scruff of the neck and lead by example, and never will be. Today playing beside Etuhu there was no chance of Lowe dictating anything.
Backroom Tom Posted November 9, 2013 Backroom Posted November 9, 2013 Morris on for Spurr There's hope yet
West Yorks Rover Posted November 9, 2013 Posted November 9, 2013 Mid-table scrap between two mid-table sides, not going to win them all. Brighton have a shocking injury list, should have got something here IMO.

Muddboy Posted November 9, 2013 Posted November 9, 2013 Defensively we have been poor - but listening on the radio it isn't for lack of effort - and by the sounds of it we have bene the best team by far - excluding the Brighton keeper ! Any team can put effort in and that, frankly, is the least I would expect from a team at this level. The problem is some players are far too inconsistent (Kane, Keane, Dann) and others can't finish for toffee (King being the biggest offender). I read all the bull on the Rovers website about "let's make this the start of a promotion push" and "let's keep the great run of form going" and we go out today and get a thumping by a team that's supposedly not as good as we have been. The scoreline doesn't lie.

Lowe couldnt dictate an under 16's game never mind a championship game.
OJRovers Posted November 9, 2013 Posted November 9, 2013 Highest paid players on the pitch probably Etuhu, Dunn, Dann, Rhodes and the rest of the rovers team - not earning their wages at the moment.
RibbleValleyRover Posted November 9, 2013 Posted November 9, 2013 We just aren't that good so you are going to see mixed results even against the dross of the league. The fact is that Rovers have only beaten one team in the top half of the table, not a good sign when we are being told that it's a promotion or bust season and those are the teams we would face in a promotion/playoff push.
mattjansen Posted November 9, 2013 Posted November 9, 2013 Nothing scored but since Dunn came on he had three chances assisted by Rhodes, maybe Rhodes need someone to play with for us to really hit off. I cant blame Bowyer to much without Dunn and Ruben and Leon Best being Leon Best. The scary thing though is not being able to trust the keeper, my god do i miss Friedel
adsfortheblues Posted November 9, 2013 Posted November 9, 2013 Etuhu, Kean, Morris should be nowhere near the squad. That's what we would have said 18 months ago, however this is where we are now, it's unfortunate, well more than that, but, that's where we are.
