Charlie Magpie Posted November 15, 2013 Posted November 15, 2013 Well done, England for boosting the viewing figures for 'Children In Need' with a stunning performance against Chile. With no Premier or Championship League matches tomorrow, what does a local football fan do for entertainment on Saturday afternoon? The best local non-league action is likely to be at Chorley's Victory Park where the Magpies take on Matlock Town in the FA Trophy. The winners will progress to the First Round proper and could secure a tie with a Conference 'giant' such as Grimsby Town, Stockport County or Macclesfield Town. With no Premier or Championship games due to international friendlies, a bumper crowd is expected. Despite beating Matlock 3-1 last week, they will not be push-overs, so expect a feisty, lively contest and enjoy a nippy November Saturday afternoon on the terraces - remember those, some people might call it REAL football. Happy days!Lots of special activities for kids - penalty shoot-out, FREE hot-dog for first 150 kids, even Pudsey Bear will be putting in an appearance! And for mums and dads - first 150 pints of Carlsberg sold in the social club, only £1.50 each!!MATLOCK TOWN - Saturday November 16th, 3pm kick-off£9 - Adults£5 - Concessions+60Students & Young Adults 16-21 *Emergency Services *£3 - Kids 8 – 15FREE - Children aged 7 & Under

Tyrone Shoelaces Posted November 15, 2013 Posted November 15, 2013 I'm not sure but at least Rovers won't be able to spoil this Saturday.
Backroom Tom Posted November 15, 2013 Backroom Posted November 15, 2013 I'm going to wrestling in Preston later on, I expect less amateur dramatics and divas
chaddyrovers Posted November 15, 2013 Posted November 15, 2013 I will be watching the Rugby Union between England vs New Zealand. then watching the USA F1 qualifying. wish Rovers were playing tbh. not a fan of international friendlies on this time of the year. much rather see club football being played tbh.
donnermeat Posted November 16, 2013 Posted November 16, 2013 Going over to Liverpool with some friends for a night out (was supposed to be next week but I made them change it as I didn't want to miss the Rovers).
Al Posted November 16, 2013 Posted November 16, 2013 Sitting at home watching daytime telly. Bored shitless. Still it's better than watching wrestling.
FGS5635 Posted November 16, 2013 Posted November 16, 2013 Watching the kiwis do that daft haka thingymybob
DanLad Posted November 16, 2013 Posted November 16, 2013 I had a pleasant afternoon at the Chorley game! 2 - 0 win. Into the hat for the first round proper.
T.J.Newton Posted November 16, 2013 Posted November 16, 2013 raking leaves up in my back garden and also ploughing through the boxset of 'The Return'(really really good French tv show that was shown on C4 earlier in the year)
perthblue02 Posted November 17, 2013 Posted November 17, 2013 Had a very warm afternoon watching William Gallas make his debut for Perth Glory. Came on around the 60th minute when the temperature had dropped to around 30 and looked completely knackered by full time, luckily for him the home night games start soon. Still looks in decent shape for a 36? year old
