Paul Posted November 16, 2013 Posted November 16, 2013 I'm making a couple of long haul flights soon and I do not want to be carting a laptop around with me in my hand luggage. Is there any reason why I shouldn't pack this in my suitcase - I realise theft is an issue and a chance I'm prepared to take. I'm thinking about the luggage being scanned and rejected of the scanners blowing the HD or whatever?

Backroom DE. Posted November 16, 2013 Backroom Posted November 16, 2013 You should be fine Paul. I had a laptop in my suitcase when I went to LA last month, no damage whatsoever. Just make sure it's wrapped in something soft!
T.J.Newton Posted November 16, 2013 Posted November 16, 2013 I've never had a problem, I just use a cheap padded laptop sleeve and sandwich it inside my clothing(and use the straps inside the suitcase to hold everything in place) Or you could just rap it with a bath towel/woolly, ect..

Majiball Posted November 18, 2013 Posted November 18, 2013 Almond paste? that would get the sniffer dogs tails wagging Coffee ground has fantastic impact absorbing qualities, perhaps try wrapping it in that Paul?
Backroom DE. Posted November 18, 2013 Backroom Posted November 18, 2013 I was thinking something of the fabric variety, but whatever does the job I suppose...
