There will always be people saying "told you so". It only becomes galling when you're on the receiving end. Do you honestly think that the fans who - for instance - wanted Kean to be given more time, wouldn't be reminding others that they had got it right, assuming of course that they had? If you take part in heated debates, you've got to be prepared to take a bit of stick if you've got it wrong.

Only joined this over the last few months, was there actuay fans who said give kean time????for real???

How are Rovers different to any other club, what % of Man Utd fans protested against the Glazers?

FC United get 2k max watching them which is c.3% of united fans actually boycotting - comparable?

You've also got to factor in that rovers fans didn't have the media behind our cause. Easy for 200 Geordies to protest after the game and get a big story in the paper.

Yes it amazes me that people think Rovers' fans are any different to the rest of the football community, fans are the same all over the country !

I was born and bred less than a mile from Ewood, but I have lived and worked in 8 different locations from the late 70s, since then I have made

many friends of different clubs and attended many matches not involving Rovers, with those friends, believe me you could not get a cigarette

paper between the vast majority of those sets of people, in what they say or how they react to matters at their clubs.

Yes folks believe it or not, fans, like people, are the same the world over !

BTW I believe Liverpool and Everton both had marches, where organizers were left very disappointed when only about a thousand fans

bothered to attend.

Jim wasn't prepared to do anything, but he's happy to criticise others who feel the same way.

Looking at it logically, I would say that a lot of fans got Venky's very very wrong, but no-one is to blame except those who have pulled the levers of power, either directly or indirectly. The fans haven't done anything wrong.

This is classic "divide and rule" with fans now turning on each other, again.

Hold on a minute matey. I did my bit in the 1970s when more than once we got over the wall and on to the pitch and demanded the board go in front of the Nuttall St directors box.

All I'm looking for is the 2013 successors to show the same passion for the club that we did.

Please keep on pontificating from the safety of Kent.

What sort of protest would've worked? In my opinion, it would've taken setting a bonfire in the middle of the ground, something of that nature. A full-on riot. Maybe someone sneaking onto Ewood at night and pouring paraquat or something onto the turf. Hire some pikeys and block the player's entrance. Superglue doors shut.

Given all those security searches, it would've been very hard. Who really would've volunteered for it?

We only have your word to take for that.

And it counts for nothing what you did in the seventies. Don't egg people on to break the law when you're no longer willing to do it yourself.

I'm not pontificating, I'm calling you out as a hypocrite. If anyone is pontificating, it's you. Other than that and the fact I no longer live in Kent, well done, you're spot on.

That's my impression too. Rovers fans shouldn't pathologise ourselves. Focusinstead on on Walker Trust, Venky's, Anderson, Kean, Agnew, Premier League, FA and certain media ...er..organs

You say you don't live in Kent but I've only your word to take for that. Your signature says you do so why should I believe anything you write ?

According to you the past counts for nothing. Well, jolly good. That's the past 50 years supporting Rovers out of the window.

And as someone who has plenty to say but never attends matches it would appear you are the hypocrit.

Out of everybody appalled at the way things began to take shape under Venkys then surely it was the Walker Trust/Family who had a good case for legal action. It was obvious early on that some terms of the sale were being ignored, even more so 12 mnths later when Barclays were threatening to pull the plug. I wonder if they ever considered doing anything ?

1. I don't think it was illegal then.

2. Also age means nothing if the cause is worthwhile.

You are imo all talk and no substance.

The protests were well organised and peaceful but under populated, a lot of attention was garnered by the spontaneous angry reaction at the Bolton and Wigan games but even then it was shown in the media as 'poor Kean' and painted the fans as the offenders.

I don't think they were at the start. Treacherous inadequate that he was Kean shouldn't have been the target.... the venkys should have been the target.

What an interesting take and one I've never heard mentioned or even occurred to me.

Great point and surely they broke many of them terms

edit - damm IE 11 wont quote. This is in reply to the walker trust point

The Walker Trust had been trying to offload Rovers for years, mate.

I'm sure the Trust are the only ones that could do anything about Venky's breaking any terms or conditions. And, over the last few years it's become very clear that they don't care.

Shameful really and poor jack must be turning in his grave that his own family could let this happen

So much kean gone on I never even considered the trust/family in all of this

The Walker intervention elevated BRFC to the Prem, to Europe, won the Prem title, lifted the Worthy Cup and treat us to top quality football and top quality players for over 20 years. They owe us absolutely nothing and it's unfair to expect them to chuck good money after bad in the light of growing ingratitude from the supporters. Everybody needs to get over themselves and move on.

Not specifically aimed at you FGS but many people really need to look in a mirror.
