Why is the default setting of a lot of fans on social media to be a complete bell end?

He posts a picture of a ps4 and people start giving him stick, then playing the victim when he reacts? Why not just say nothing at all?

Another prime example of the internet giving everyone a voice not necessarily being a good thing.

As others have said - if he played well for the team he can tweet what he likes, but he doesn't play well - it is his attitude on the pitch that annoys me - he has all the physical attributes to be a decent centre forward to win headers, out-muscle defenders and create for Rhodes, but he doesn't seem to want to play second fiddle to Rhodes - if he isn't taking the chance he doesn't seem interested in creating it.

Him being paid the most in the squad clearly adds to his ego and his reluctance to use his strengths as part of a system. Even in a deal which sees us having to still pay some of his wages I can see the club trying to move him on in January.

Absolutely! Those contracts handed out last year to the most average of ageing players was disgusting. We will never shift them, even if we did they would want the majority if not all of the difference between what they would have earned here as opposed to what any normal club would have paid them (I.e Pedersen, Givet).

Just read who the guy leon best is arguing with on twitter...i follow that gary guy and trsut me hes a very pessimistic guy and one that always gets on players backs especially lowe

And the lucky gits just been offers ps4 vouchers and a rhodes top now by leon best luky him

If thats the case then fair play to Leon... Not a great outburst but a good gesture. Think the guy had it coming with the comments before and Besty not being the sharpest bit.

What is the disciplinary process for players from an employment law perspective and what constitutes grounds for summary dismissal for gross misconduct?

I know its not a player but writing off 1.5 million with your magic pen and still keeping your job , if that's not gross misconduct then I'm struggling to think of anything else.

Perhaps being concerned about the well being and running of the club is classed as gross misconduct, that seems to have seen a few being let go

In almost 10 years as a pro he has never scored more than 5 in a season, so 20 could be a reach

Do you really think we are going to make any money out of Best? On his wages, the best we can hope for is that we loan him out and pay about 70% of his wages for the privilege.

Failing that a good man manager could probably get his head right. What's Alllardyce doing these days?

A punk is a punk and there is no changing them until the punk himself wants to change. He's obviously got some delusions of grandeur regarding his abilities.

For those that haven't seen it the short version is:

'You are an idiot if you think I'm not good enough to get in the team its because of other reasons'

'I am the highest paid at the club'

(And this is my favourite bit) 'I got my ps4 for free'

Reflecting on this - a massive breach of discipline. The fact he comes across as a grade A odious pillock is besides the point.

1) Flagrant disrespect to the management saying he's not in the team for other reasons. A real slap at Bowyer's integrity and judgement - and a huge breach of rules. Should be fined/dropped accordingly, although I don't think the message will ever get through to the plank. The fact this is a second offense of this nature needs to be factored into the punishment.

2) Bowyer's flogging a dead horse if Best genuinely thinks his performances have been good enough to warrant a place. Deluded barely begins to describe it. Shows we will get the square root of nothing out of him.

3) Highest paid player - how the heck did that happen. Getting a wage on par with Murphy et al is beyond financial mismanagement. At least with the likes of Murphy you can say won trophys with Liverpool, captained Fulham to a Europa Cup final, regular in the prem etc. Even Etuhu you can say regular in the prem and played for his country. Where's the justification for giving a Barcode reserve player such a whacking great contract? It's a testament to Bowyer that the team moral isn't shot to pieces with this kind of injustice in the squad.

Overall, agree with those saying get rid at all cost. It increasingly looks like he's not only not going to produce any positive contribution but be a constant source of disruption and an undermining influence. Get rid.

No-one ij their right mind would pay a fee for this bloke. He was maybe worth £1M when we bought him and has hardly played since and had disciplinary issues. Bearing in mind no-one under the PL can afford to pay anything like what he's on and he's nowhere near good enough for the PL we have a choice of either paying him off or keeping him and hoping he improves. Doubt the later will happen and we probably can't afford the former so we're stuck with another useless lump for another 18 months or so. In our plight this makes a serious dent in our resources though.
