I'm a big fan of this guy. Seen him live a few times and impressed every time. He's not prolific as the stats show but he has a lot more to his game. Hold up play is excellent and a perfect foil for Rhodes.

Absolute bargain. Hasn't played for a while so may be a bit rusty but long term he's a great addition (and only 25!).

PRESS ASSOCIATION

Blackburn have signed Cardiff striker Rudy Gestede on loan until the new year.

The Benin international heads to Ewood Park in search of regular football, having made just five appearances for the Bluebirds this campaign.

Rovers have the option to turn Gestede's loan move into a permanent transfer in January.

He told the club's official website: ``I'm very happy to join Blackburn. It's a massive club, with great history.

``When I was younger, I used to pick Blackburn when I played video games. Of course we played against them last season so I know it's a good club with a good atmosphere. The fans are amazing, like they are at Cardiff, and maybe that's why I chose this club.

``We got promoted with Cardiff last season and I think the manager wants me to bring this experience and have a good spirit in the team. I'm here to work hard and do my best. He is giving me the chance to play and to be on the pitch every week, so I hope I can take it.

``You need to have a good atmosphere in the team, with everybody focused in the same way. You have to work hard, because the Championship is a hard league.

``There are a lot of games and it's not easy to win, even against the bottom teams in the league, so you need to be really focused on each game and work hard permanently.''

Derek Shaw is our MD and we're £60m in debt.

What more were you expecting?

Didn't stop them spending £££ on a lummox like Marshall

If they are serious about digging the club out of the hole it is in then we NEED promotion THIS season

A bit of pain (extra owner funded spending) for a LOT OF GAIN (promotion and the £££££££££££££££££ it will bring)

However it seems that the clubs ambition is to get to £100m of debt

Well reading his comments you get the impression he's been promised starts, so it looks like 442 from now on...........unless he leaves rhodes out

I think Rovers will go 4-4-2 and Playing Gestede with Rhodes. play Cairney on left wing and either Marshall or Taylor on the right wing and tell them to get the crosses into the box.

Nah, King and Taylor (alternating wings) with Cairney and Lowe (let's be honest) in the middle.

maybe Mike. not against that tbh.

just think Bowyer will go Lowe and Williamson in Centre mid, both in good form

A bit negative at home though, I sometimes think Bowyer plays for a draw, safety first !

Find it hard to believe that so many fans can see we need Cairney central, yet the manager can't.

Parson sums it up in the Reading review, we are not scoring and playing too conservatively.

If GB is expected to deliver promotion, which seemingly the Loons believe, then his tactics (I like the orange ones myself), are strange. We don't seem to go for it at home......perhaps because he can't afford to lose? Is this a change, Best being forced out? As he is bringing Rudy in, must play him?
