Has Bowyer given any indication that he favours that kind of formation?

How many other clubs in the football league are set-up like that?

Swansea, wigan, everton have all played that way, hell even preston have. The forward thinking mans approach, three centre halves, two attacking wing backs, two balanced midfielders, two wingers playing high up and a poacher or target man to be the focal point. When on the defense it can be interchangeable to a 5-4-1 quite easily but on the attack is dangerous especially with King and Henleys pace.

Well at least there will be no pressure on this lad to deliver due to his previous career tally.

Looked at a couple of Cardiff MBs earlier, seems he has been quite effective coming off the bench at times,

but can look a bit awkward too if it's not his day.

Generally they seem to think he is ok for this league, certainly puts the effort in, which is more than can be

said for one or two we have atm.

I'm interested to see how this signing levels out, something obviously has had to change as even JR has stopped scoring. We all know if Rhodes isn't scoring that means Rovers aren't scoring. His goal scoring record doesn't concern me if he's creating a few chances a game for the team.

Guest Norbert

Orr isn't even getting a place on the bench at Blackpool.

Hahahaha!!! Scouse ____.

Though that might mean the little turd might float back down to Brockhall.

"The fans are amazing, like they are at Cardiff, and maybe that's why I chose this club".

A bit OTT...I am not sure even we think our fans are amazing.

``We got promoted with Cardiff last season and I think the manager wants me to bring this experience and have a good spirit in the team. I'm here to work hard and do my best. He is giving me the chance to play and to be on the pitch every week, so I hope I can take it.

Looks like he has been promised game time.

Seems like Bowyer agrees with many on here that we need a target man to try and hold the ball up and bring others into play, enabling the entire team to play higher up the pitch. Not suprising really. Let's hope the lad contributes and makes a difference.

What I didn't understand was as soon as Evans got injured he took cairney out of the centre and put him out wide. When these two played central we had the movement to not need a target man as we worked our way well up the pitch. Our current tactics defo warrant a target man as nothing sticks and we have resorted to king being a target man

At a guess, Cardiff are probably paying much of his wage and he wouldn't have come unless he'd been promised game time. There would have been no point him coming to sit on the bench here.

I must have missed that - I thought Cairney was playing wide, with Evans and Lowe in central midfield ?

Makes sense as I was wondering how much he would be earning.

Doubt Best or Campbell will be happy him going straight into the team. Dare I say it, is Rhodes bullet proof? His supporters think so, but if persisting with a five man midfield and one up top I wonder what Bowyer is thinking? Great to have an alternative option anyway and although I personally do not know a lot about the player, some friends who follow Cardiff think he is a good acquisition for us.
