[Archived] Rovers payments to Agents

Rovers official website confirms the Club paid over £2M to agents between 1st Oct 2012 and 30th Sept 2013.

A lot money to go to "leeches". That could keep Accy going for the next few years.

Chicken feed imo. I bet that figure pales into insignificance compared to monies paid indirectly to 'certain individuals' from agreed %ages of some players overblown wages? Lets rem that in 2010 one payment to an agent(s) reportedly negotiated himself and likely 'others' a £1.4m 'commission' and apparently rubber stamped and agreed by the Fat Controller from his 24/7 residence in the managers office at Brockhall, for simply supplying Ruben Rochina from Barca. Give or take a few hundred grand it was made known at the time that Barca received just 400k out of a 1.8m fee.

I'd love to know the final haul that was sliced out of BRFC since Nov 2010.

2m isn't that much compared to what we and other clubs have paid in the past(and present), non-story.

if you want to go support Accy Stanley, nobodys stopping you(and I doubt you'll be missed to be honest)

The way things are going, supporting accy might be the only option

Only slightly more than the agents' fees in the Rochina transfer...

7 clubs in the Premier League paid £2.5m or less during the 2012/13 period - so we are still over paying, or being taken for a ride.

No surprise to anyone surely?

we signed a lot(or more than usual) free signings and nominal fee type players this year, those types of deals do normally come with higher agents fees as the player and his agent hold all the cards and will just go to the club offering the most money(in most cases) But obviously the flip side to that is there's little to no transfer fee paid to the clubs they're leaving.

p.s. Preston blue! that wasn't very nice.

I think any agent who can persuade a player to come to this fecking circus deserves their cut.....imagine selling that one to the player.
