Moderation Lead K-Hod Posted March 23, 2014 Moderation Lead Posted March 23, 2014 Yes I do believe there should be some standards but as he has been banned he is unable to defend himself. I thought somebody should. I'm going to stop doing this sort of thing. I tried to defend people who use Electronic Cigarettes and got abused even though I don't smoke and dogs although I no longer own one. In future I'll just look after myself. Maybe I'll get less aggro. Best just being a lone wolf on here Al!

It's certainly a noble thing to do, I tend to get grief via private message no matter the decision I make on things but it's part and parcel of helping out on a forum so it doesn't bother me. I make mistakes in judgment (plenty) but try and be open about it - well that's one thing we do better than referees at least

Hope so I was only saying to the wife last night I would like a bit part in Game of Thrones I'd be shocked if he had heard of my work though
thenodrog Posted March 23, 2014 Author Posted March 23, 2014 You consistently vomit up what may be described as a Daily Mail caricatures of Muslims, the unemployed, anyone who disagrees with you etc. in your consistently arrogant, self important, jumped up posts and you have the temerity to say I don't think for myself. Murdoch and co. has done a right job on you. Don't shoot the messenger.
Audax Posted March 24, 2014 Posted March 24, 2014 Sounds like the Authorities, Malaysian PM are asserting the flight crashed into the South Indian Sea, towards Australia and indeed, so far South, starting to go towards Antartica meaning probably a lot of the debris was carried by the waves. http://www.bbc.com/news/world-asia-26711298 Breaking News Malaysian Prime Minister Najib Razak says "with great sadness" data now confirms that the aircraft's last position was in the Indian Ocean south of Perth.
ABBEY Posted March 27, 2014 Posted March 27, 2014 The two pieces of metal satellites spotted in Indian Ocean 2700 miles off west coast of Australia have been identified as Rolf Harris's missing laptops.....

The victims' families deserve better.
thenodrog Posted March 27, 2014 Author Posted March 27, 2014 Not 'NEWS' as such but didn't anybody watch the LBC/Sky debate between Nick Clegg and Nigel Farage?
Tyrone Shoelaces Posted March 27, 2014 Posted March 27, 2014 Not 'NEWS' as such but didn't anybody watch the LBC/Sky debate between Nick Clegg and Nigel Farage? No, I had a fence to creosote.

Guest Norbert Posted March 28, 2014 Posted March 28, 2014 No, I had a fence to creosote. Did Alan Shearer come round to help? I bet you had to ask Trevor Brooking to move as well. "Hey, I'm down with the kids. I once bought Snow's album. Informer is well wicked." http://www.huffingtonpost.co.uk/2014/03/28/michael-gove-wham-rap_n_5047905.html?1396003116
BiggusLaddus Posted March 29, 2014 Posted March 29, 2014 "Today was the day that Michael Gove sang a Wham rap during a press conference and Diane Abbot live tweeted a funeral. Who to vote for?" Quite.
jim mk2 Posted March 29, 2014 Posted March 29, 2014 I couldn't press the button to watch that...I just couldn't. Of all the despicable people in the cabinet he must be the worst.

He's a horrible little pip squeak. In a cabinet full of obnoxious posh boys he stands out as the worst. No mean achievement.
thenodrog Posted March 29, 2014 Author Posted March 29, 2014 I think he might do OK with the Education job. The improvement of our shambolic education system is long overdue. About a month it was revealed on the BeeB that there will be a swap of maths teachers between China and the UK . Chinese kids are No 1 in Maths in the world whilst we are at 27th or similar! Clips of Chinese kids satat work and in silence at their desks in a 'old' classroom layout followed by a cklip of our kids sat in groups of 6 chatting. Might no represent every school but our educational demise imo is simply a matter of ill discipline, modern teaching methods and concentrating too much teaching effort on the wrong pupils. The first lesson on Day 1 at Sandhurst is 'Identify the enemy' and so it should be in our schools, not just to deploy resources in the right direction but to be fair to the brighter kids who want to succeed. He's a horrible little pip squeak. In a cabinet full of obnoxious posh boys he stands out as the worst. No mean achievement. I couldn't press the button to watch that...I just couldn't. Of all the despicable people in the cabinet he must be the worst. What a pity Jimmk2 isn't around.... you pinko's could have had a hat trick.
jim mk2 Posted March 29, 2014 Posted March 29, 2014 Gove is a lame duck minister in a lame duck government entering its dying throes. His flagship policies such as academies and free schools have been mired by controversy and scandal. His legacy will be a a broken education system. He's also a nasty piece of work, sneering at people forced to use food banks. “They are not best able to manage their finances,” he told a stunned Commons, continuing a Tory theme that the poor are to blame for their own poverty. Not the employers who pay crap wages, or the Government taking an axe to family benefits, or the greedy gas and electricity profiteers, but the hungry, the broke and the destitute. In his topsy-turvy Tory world, the victims are the villains. The arrogance and selfishness of the right is breathtaking.
Guest Norbert Posted March 29, 2014 Posted March 29, 2014 Gove is a crap Education Minister, brain farting all manner of schemes and changes without consulting people in the sector, and adopting an 'I know best' attitude.
Audax Posted April 1, 2014 Posted April 1, 2014 Don't want to exaggerate a headline, "Korea Turns Hot" and "Signs of earthquake off NKorea prompts nuke test fears..."

yoda Posted April 9, 2014 Posted April 9, 2014 A lot of pings seem to be being detected in the Indian ocean, with no sign of debris, I don't suppose someone has been clever enough to remove the black box and dump it in the ocean with the plane intact somewhere!
