Scratch below the surface and what you see is the BNP with shiny shoes and a collar and tie.

As put about by the press and media at the behest of the increasingly nervous established parties who don't want any troublesome new members in their cosy little club. I wouldn't have thought you would have swallowed it Tyrone.

tbh the more adverse publicity Farage receives the more likely I am to vote for him. I can't do with closed shops.

bullet in the head instead of molly coddling jail .

It's pretty well accepted now that there are immense problems stored up for the future involving disaffected 2nd and 3rd generation immigrants. The value of foresight over hindsight is incalculable.

I thought Britain had banned knives, like it had banned guns?

On the immigration issue, I'm in favor. However, immigrants should be people who are a net benefit to the society they are immigrating into. And the pace should be controlled to one where full assimilation is possible (i.e. too fast and you'll create foreign enclaves within your borders, as opposed to bringing in more future Britons).

How can you ban knives??

I recall reading something about it several months ago.

I think it is idiocy, but I've come to the realization that our nations are run by idiots.

Why use a knife when you can use a fork - have you ever seen an American eat a meal ?

Yes, Jim. And we're a bunch of uncouth savages. Next question?

They represent middle class white little englanders. BNPlite, member of the far right group of European political parties, disgusting party members. Horrible, vile party.

"Protest organiser Dan Glass said the group was in fancy dress and included migrants, HIV activists, gay people, disabled people and breastfeeding mums. The demonstrators said Mr Farage had pushed through to get into his car, and was then chased down the road, with some people jumping on the bonnet of his car."

Just some more useless, anti establishment, divisive and heavily agenda'd pinko yoghurt knitters attacking UKIP with lies and accusations. Without ever having met Farage et al I know whose side I am on. tbh I shouldn't be surprised if UKIP paid em to make fools of such types.

and also your enormously fat, petrol(gas ;)) guzzling loudmouths that refuse to drive a car that has anything smaller than a 3ltr engine and don't even know how to drive cars with a gear stick in them, get it right! :P

if me or Gord said something of similar ilk against a certain set ,we would cop a ban. You slate us too for it but what a thing to say. True colours TJ. I really need to put you back on the ignore list again.

"Enormously fat"- why not? We live in the land of plenty. And we can produce some very strong, fit men when we need them.

"Petrol gas guzzling"- absolutely. We live in a large country. I habitually drive 2-3 hours/day for work related reasons, sometimes more (I'm a county supervisor in the 5th largest county geographically in the USA, larger than Wales almost as big as Scotland). Most weekends I drive 4-5 hours to LA, Phoenix, etc. for my children's soccer tournaments. And if I'm on vacation, I frequently drive for days. My family driving is in a Ford Expedition EL 4x4 Limited, which is a nice comfortable SUV to drive in when there are 2-3 adults and 2-4 kids to transport.

"Loudmouths"- again, correct. Unlike some people, on average we Americans aren't afraid to speak our minds.

"Can't drive a stick"- now you are just plan wrong. Every kid in my family starts with a stick- I drove a standard Ford Escort for 10 years as my first vehicle, followed by a motorcycle, then family cars once I married and had children. And I'll continue the tradition with my daughter and son. I don't think this is uncommon, unless you were born and raised exclusively in a metropolitan area.

My suspicion is that a lot of Europeans tell American jokes, stereotype us, etc., because they secretly envy us, at least partially. Conversely, I don't think I've ever heard a joke about Englishmen, though perhaps I have and have forgotten. My advice, learn to laugh at yourself, beliefs and institutions. You'll be a lot stronger for it when you realize while there's a lot to laugh at, there's also a lot to take pride in and stand up for.

yea I was thinking that,

also I can hand on heart say I'm not envious of Americans(in general) sadly I cant see the country lasting another 25 years the way its being run, which is a shame because its populated by some of the very best people in the world, but also some of the very worst and the worst ones(as per...) seem to have all the power and money(although they really are both the same thing in the us)

Learn to laugh at ourselves?

The English are the masters of that old chap

It's funny this has been brought up. I saw this video of Stephen Fry talking about the American and British senses of humour. Whilst of course it is a generalisation, I does ring true.

The big exception I can think of is Chevy Chase in the National Lampoon movies. But of course, they don't make movies like that anymore.

You shouldn't quote the village idiot Abs but never mind I'm off to Lanzarote for two weeks this morning so you can quote him all you want. Cheers!

How about the great Al Bundy?

I've said many times that nothing surprises me about people originating from that side of the world. The word 'cheating' seems to mean something else.

However on a lighter note does he resemble an Indian Michael McIntyre to you?
