MORE shocking news. They need to chat it out they really do.

http://www.mirror.co.uk/news/uk-news/isis-horrifying-photos-show-man-5429299

Nothing can be more dangerous to western society than continuing in the assupmtuion that this evil religion will modernise itself and progress rather than regress as so many like to believe.

Just as an aside wasn't the prophet muhammed supposed to have teens of wives and marry one of em at 6? Not only that but muslims believe Jesus will have a part to play in bringing down Shaytan in a Harry Potter / Voldemort fashion despite being the product of a union performed out of wedlock. No wonder Mary and Joseph told that pack of lies about some immaculate conception is it?

From what i have read, he did marry a 6 year old (or close to) but don't worry, it's not all bad, he didn't consummate the marriage until she was 9 apparently.

Looks like they've been at it for years. Some things never change eh!

Abu Bakr Muhammad al-Razi

Muhammad ibn Zakariyā Rāzī (865 – 925 AD) was a Persian physician, alchemist, chemist, philosopher, and scholar.

If the people of this religion [islam] are asked about the proof for the soundness of their religion, they flare up, get angry and spill the blood of whoever confronts them with this question. They forbid rational speculation, and strive to kill their adversaries. This is why truth became thoroughly silenced and concealed.
Interesting opinion below.

Wole Soyinka

Akinwande Oluwole "Wole" Soyinka (born July 13, 1934) is a Nigerian writer, poet and playwright. In 1986, he became the first African to be awarded the Nobel Prize in Literature. In 1994, he was designated UNESCO Goodwill Ambassador for the promotion of African culture, human rights, freedom of expression, media and communication.

England is a cesspit. England is the breeding ground of fundamentalist Muslims. Its social logic is to allow all religions to preach openly. But this is illogic, because none of the other religions preach apocalyptic violence. And yet England allows it. Remember, that country was the breeding ground for communism, too. Karl Marx did all his work in libraries there.
. . .

We should assemble all those who are pure and cannot abide other faiths, put them all in rockets, and fire them into space.
. . .
A virus has attacked the world of sense and sensibility, and it has spread to Nigeria.
. . .

The assumption of power over life and death then passed to every single inconsequential Muslim in the world-as if someone had given them a new stature...Al Qaeda is the descendent of this phenomenon. The proselytization of Islam became vigorous after this. People went to Saudi Arabia. Madrassas were established everywhere.

Nigeria tossed out the old President, Goodluck Johnathan and in comes Mohammed Buhari.

http://www.bbc.com/news/world-africa-32150234

So, I think one had to try a new leader. Parts of the country indeed were being ravaged by the Boko Haram terrorists.

-----------------------

On this Buhari, last Summer, he did survive an assassination attempt and it sounds like according to the Beeb, the attempt was conducted by Boko Haram extremists. I saw the pictures, somehow they tried to bomb the motorcade he was riding in.

Nigerian press, they do seem to enjoy relative freedom of the press. http://www.vanguardngr.com/

I've followed this situation rather closely.

Ultra .. Shoot over to East Kenya and have a chat with the terrorists that have killed 15 kids and holding Christians hostage . I'm sure if you have a chat you can sort it .. Hell you could even bag a Nobel peace prize at the same time .

Just as a matter of interest how many have these Islamic terrorists killed since we had the terrorist thread before the site crashed ?

9 more Brits arrested for trying to get into Syria thru Turkey .

sorry mb members, I'm just fed up and frustrated with reading the same vindictive bile from the same few posters, there's been times in recent months when other board members have tried to start threads and stuff to ignite positive and fun discussions and create a better atmosphere on here, but they either get shot down straight away or hijacked by the same clique of nasties, every thread pretty much ends up looking the same.

Yoda your not a quarter as smart(or funny)as you like to think yo are and its pathetic how much you follow abby around, your like the dweeby little weazel at school that would stand behind the playground bully mouthing off, then runs to tell the teacher when things kicked off

I've just seen this. You've been missing me eh Abbey?

I don't think you are remembering our conversation right. I was going to look back and quote exactly what I said but unfortunately it was lost in the crash. So here are my thoughts again just to clear things up.

I 'got in a tizz' because you repeatedly posted stories about atrocities in the Middle East and Africa with a simple comment along the lines of "Shoot them between the eyes", "hang them" and finally "Nuke the whole place". After you said you weren't joking, I said that nukes would kill thousands of innocent people and called you a muppet.

I also said and still would say that killing terrorists does not stop terrorism. You cannot bomb an idea out of existence. I said that at some point we, being the US, the EU and UN, may have to sit down to negotiate with some more moderate groups and help them into positions of power so they can try to stop the violence in their own country. That might mean arming rebel groups, it would definitely mean sanctions against rogue groups. These moderate groups may have some ideas that we don't like, as for example the Saudis do, but we must be focused on stability in the long term.

Bombing terrorist targets is a good short term solution that should be carefully considered on a case by case basis. Thankfully this is what the policy from Washington and Europe has been so far. But prolonged, expansive bombing campaigns or our own troops on the ground in my opinion would make matters worse. Chaos, power vacuums, hatred: these are the conditions in which ISIS, Al-Qaeda and others flourish and is exactly what they want. Lets not give them what they want.

As I've said before, you can misrepresent me all you like Abbey. I'm a big boy, it doesn't get to me. I would hope though that people would look at this post and see my thoughts for themselves.

Ultrablue you won't get far debating with someone who advocates executing minors. Not quite sure where that action would place the UK on the world stage?

You're right Paul - It's clear Abbey and I want different things from this thread. I try not to respond when he mentions me but I just wanted to get my opinions on 'chatting with terrorists' out clearly.

The Nazis are an interesting case Audax. Of course we didn't bomb the ideas out of existence. What we did do was depose state leaders that held those ideas.

Fighting religious extremist terrorists is very different to fighting a nation state. As we saw with the War in Iraq, invading the latter can lead to the former.

The Saudi coalition think it is a good idea to bomb them, that is what they are doing right now.
