adopted scouser Posted May 19, 2015 Posted May 19, 2015 Just heard on the radio that Prince Charles will meet Gerry Adams today. Disgraceful.
Moderation Lead K-Hod Posted May 19, 2015 Moderation Lead Posted May 19, 2015 He was best mates with Jimmy Savile, my expectations of him are low to say the least.....Not to mention a Dingle
Guest Posted May 19, 2015 Posted May 19, 2015 How appropriate you fight like a cow It's OK, you can borrow my witty retorts. Sigh. You take a leave of absence from here, only to pop back on and find the same characters bickering like old women. It would be at least worth a read if they resorted to insult sword fighting instead.
Jock Posted May 19, 2015 Posted May 19, 2015 Just heard on the radio that Prince Charles will meet Gerry Adams today. Disgraceful. It is a disgrace but I certainly don't feel sorry for the Royals. Mountbatten was a disgusting man. I feel sorry for all the innocent people killed in the troubles and big ears meeting Adams must be a kick in the guts to hundreds of bereaved families.

"Mountbatten was a disgusting man" You can qualify this of course ?Adams and his clown faced cohort are murderers who bombed their way to Blair's table.

Audax Posted May 19, 2015 Posted May 19, 2015 I found info per above, doesn't show up on his wikipedia page: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Louis_Mountbatten,_1st_Earl_Mountbatten_of_Burma No matter what, one should not be shielded from justice if that was the case but one should neither be assassinated as happened.

I'm no expert, but Ultrablue doesn't want to take tea with terrorists, and Abbey now doesn't want to nuke the Middle East - I think we're making progress
Dreyski Posted May 20, 2015 Posted May 20, 2015 Like I said, progress! (Haven't UK forces been involved in airstrikes on IS?)
Jock Posted May 20, 2015 Posted May 20, 2015 I still can't get my head round War Criminal Blair bombing Belgrade.
LDRover Posted May 20, 2015 Posted May 20, 2015 Google him, it's out there. Indeed it is and indeed it's pretty vile.
davulsukur Posted May 20, 2015 Posted May 20, 2015 Looks like another historical site is about to be destroyed by the Islamic State. They have now taken control of Palmyra.
Audax Posted May 22, 2015 Posted May 22, 2015 This guy was bad news and now in Denmark, I hope he's caught. http://www.bbc.co.uk/newsbeat/article/32405092/manchester-terror-suspect-living-freely-in-denmark Dumpkopf. On a more upbeat note, Pakistan’s Pagans Cling On, In Remote Mountain HavenHigh in the Hindu Kush Mountains of northwest Pakistan, a small tribe clings to an ancient pre-Islamic culture. Paler skinned than the other people in the region, some claim the Kalash are descendants of Greek and Macedonian soldiers who marched through the area under Alexander the Great more than 2,000 years ago. But their unique culture is under threat from Islamic missionaries, conflict, and economic hardship. (Ghulam Ghaus, RFE/RL's Radio Mashaal) Video at the website: http://www.rferl.org/media/video/pakistan-kalash/27028499.html In relative terms, these people appear rather peaceful.

I want it to be but by the very name of the title "Clinging On", I suspect the article will be rather depressing and anger-inducing (which is why I'm not going to read it). If Islam has such a deplorable lack of tolerance as to consistently murder followers of its minority Shia branch (the latest suicide bombing in Saudi Arabia today), what is it going to do to a bunch of pagans. They're lucky they live where they do but their demise will be a when rather than an if.

Just as an aside Iran is 90% shia muslim so how much are they contributing anything to the war against the sunni based IS? Obviously dodgy territory imo because Saudia is the opposite with 90% sunni and with each arab nation lined up somewhere in between. Oil is still of massive importance but could the west not simply leave em to it and let this all go off with a bang perhaps?

The over-riding majority of Islam is Sunni along with all the countries with any decent wealth or military might. As you say its interesting that Iran haven't gone for IS more. But maybe they suspect there is far more support for it in countries such as Saudi Arabia than meets the eye.

Audax Posted May 22, 2015 Posted May 22, 2015 You have Shias, Sunnis and from my limited understanding, a subset of the Sunnis, Wahabbists, a radical sect. Make no mistake about it though, ISIS kills a lot of Sunnis and that city/town they just took over, Rhamadi is mainly Sunni. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Shia_Islam#/media/File:Islam_by_country.svg The rest aren't somewhere in between. We will see how this all goes.
ABBEY Posted May 24, 2015 Posted May 24, 2015 100's of women and children executed on the streets of Syria. Honest question how much more will be needed to get a worldwide fightback at the satanists? I dont mean talking because they wont listen.
Jock Posted May 25, 2015 Posted May 25, 2015 The guy who played Benny Green in Grange Hill died last week. Makes me feel old.
