I've always liked this lad. He's got what it takes to play full back at top level. The worry is the big clubs know about him already so holding on to him will be hard.

Especially when he isn`t being played,I know the lad has been injured but I would rather see him play than Kane.

Could it be because he 's been crap recently I wonder? Glimpses of raw talent but ultimately a player who gives the ball away every time he gets into the final third isn't getting us anywhere.

Say with our fans just to left of goal. None of our fans were happy when King came on. All could see Cairney a player who kept the ball and could do things with it. King can't pass, shoot or defend. This was clear. Fans mystified by Campbell coming on. Till their and our subs we bossed it. Still a point a fair result and a great result against prob best side in league away. Eastwood, Henley Taylor, Marshall impressed.

Wow what a save that was by Eastwood but a totally inept finish by Lowe in the first half

Considering Jason has only ever scored 1 goal that's not so much a surprise.

I'm glad to hear Marshall had a good game. I was speaking to a Sheff Weds fan earlier in the week and he was raving about Marshall, said that they were very very impressed with him when he was on loan there, and was surprised to hear he'd made no impact whatsoever at Rovers yet. Fingers crossed this is the start of Marshall looking the part.

That's not the point. If we'd have scored from our 3 good chances, we'd have won. Simple. The mentality of the kind of statements yourself and others come out with is the same mentality the whole club seems to have these days. Yes we are where we are blah blahs blah. However the fact is, we could have easily won that game. Brighton away we controlled but lost, Ipswich we dominated for 60 mins of the game and lost and so on.

But why? With a little beter finishing or better final oasses there are a handful of games we lost or drew that we could have won. Great result I fully expected a tonking. Heard we are only the 2nd team to leave Loftus Rd with a point this term.

Now, can we build on this with these "winnable" games or will we be Rovers and fix what is ailing our opponents. That we are good at.

In some ways I totally agree. For the money we've had available we should be battering most teams home and away.

Decent result in context however and I'm chuffed for those that travelled.

What about QPR and their money?

Absolute rubbish that people can complain when we took a point away at the best team in the league, we took the game to them in the first half. Seems that some people are only happy when we struggle.

I know, some just look for something to pee and moan about m. I don't know why they bother cos nowt will ever be good enough for them.

A great well earned point but a sign of the times that this thread has been viewed on less than 13000 occasions. Not too long ago used to be in the region of 30k per away game.

Rest assured had we lost there'd be more. Good results seem to bring less posters unless it's a spectacular result such as a cup win at Arsenal.

Nowt to moan about see, but I suppose one could always have a grumble about the number of posters

I agree with a orevious post who said Taylor could be the heartbeat of this team add evans along with him in the rovers team and that would make us solid...new signings like Taylor and marshall needed time to settle and i think by the looks of it they are ready for the 2nd half of the season

I feel like this could be a massive result for us even though it's only a draw.

It's still our first away clean sheet in the league since October 2012 and that shows we're heading in the right direction.

Hopefully now we can kickstart a run up the Championship with the likes of Eastwood / Robinson, Henley and Taylor playing a huge part.

Great to hear Eastwood did well. After seeing his rather dodgy performance against Carlisle it was understandable that it took so long for GB to put him in the team, mind you he did have Songo'o in front of him.

Interesting to hear Bowyer say his kicking was 'magnificent' in his post match interview. It's a big part of a keeper's game and one at which Kean has been pretty poor. Hope he can continue to be steady and give confidence to the back four.

Looking at it optimistically there are quite a few reasons to be hopeful. We had a pretty strong bench, with Rochina and Dunn, quality players for this division in my opinion. Kilgallon and Campbell (even though he's not going going at Rovers yet) would be regarded by most teams as very good players to have in reserve. King has ability too if he can learn to use it. We've got Robbo to come back soon and Evans could be one of our best players.

The biggest problem with young players however is inconsistency and we have a lot of them so it's not a big surprise that performances so far have been quite up and down. Having said that, if if if we can get on a little run and confidence grows there are a lot of games to go (27) and you never know what can happen.

To those who say who say we are nowhere near good enough, in my opinion there aren't very many good teams in the championship at all, just look at Paul Ince's Blackpool, I mean come on, it's Paul Ince.

It was the very similar and wonderfully witty and imaginative "You're going home in a f****** ambulance."

Sung of course by fans at fans 99% of whom of course would run a mile rather than get involved in a ruck.

Ah the good old days when you had to get up an hour before you went to bed to lick t'road clean.

'Your going home in a St Johns Ambulance' was the correct wording to that song.

FULL TIME: QPR 0 ROVERS 0

In a game once again we failed to take chances. Good result, but the amount of points we throw away is unreal.

?.... Surely both sides missed chances? Fair enough I only saw it on the FLS but it appeared that a point was a fair result. Where did you watch it adsfortheblues?

We gave probably the best team in the league a hell of a game by the sounds of it, at their own place. I'd rather be pleased about that than moan about the missed chances.

If there is a moan it's in our consistency. In the last fortnight we have seen tTwo fine performances either side of a poor one. We have been the same for most of the season and no doubt why we are middle of the Division. However this unpredicability IS a hallmark of the Championship and quite possibly one of it's more endearing features, it really is dog eat dog every week.

But at the same time if QPR had scored from their good chances, they'd have won.

Quite right clur. He hasn't grasped that yet.

Goalless at mighty QPR? Pretty sad when that's a result worth celebrating.

You have a lot to learn about being a BRFc fan without sugar daddies M-K.

King flatters to deceive. He's a player that looks like he plays well, but when you really analyse his contribution he's done nowt. Some great highlight real runs, but nothing ever to show for it. 1 goal and 2 assists all season for a winger thats barely missed a minute is poor

Raw potential, but he has many areas of his game he needs to improve. He must drive rhodes insane

King gets impressively to the by line almost at will and then he looks up :( ...... after that it all goes tits up. He starts to think, slows the play whilst the defenders get organised and worst of all telegraphs his intentions. The simple time honoured instruction should be given .... "get to the by line, keep your head down and just pull it back toward the penalty spot". I can virtually guarantee that it'll work wonders and if there is no one there it isn't his fault.

I did think Josh King was decent, he stuck to the basics of getting down the touchline and pulling it back. He did over-hit one cross when we had men in the box in a threatening position. But on that one showing, he does have promise.

I think Chris Taylor could end up being the heartbeat of the side, he was up for it, definitely. Tommy Spurr caught my eye, too. Very good defensively.

Rhodes is far from the finished article. He's not quick enough to get away with not developing further.

I'm not too sure about Spurr yet but the rest is spot on Bryan. imo Taylor's move inside has transformed him.

Well today's result was great. However I have just had an even more satisfying result. My apologies for going off topic.

I moved my elderly in laws in about 18 months ago. My father in law has pushed my patience to its limits and beyond. However, I have just discovered that I can change his sky channel with my remote through the glass doors which divide our living rooms. He just walked in having made a cuppa to find the tv on a very questionable channel and my mother in law tutting.

Wicked. You are a truly evil man Patrick!

Glad to hear one or two who went to the game thought Taylor was good again, because he was absolutely outstanding against Leeds and if he can keep up that level of performance we've got a real player at this level.

bang on.

btw Have you mentioned how unlucky Lowe was to have that effort cleared off the line Simon ...... or have I missed it?

Looked like a cushioned back pass rather than a clinical shot at goal from Jason.

Lowe displayed absolutely no surety at all when he came to providing the finish to that cross and how poor was Taylor with his header.

I thought general consensus was that ir was a fairly abysmal effort from him Gordon. I'm not going to knock him for that, I doubt he'll ever be a consistent scorer from midfield but I'd be reasonably happy if he didn't just mark space but learnt how to press the ball and close opponents down.

Decent attempt given that he was stretching, he made a hell of a lot of ground up to get there, got it on target and was only thwarted by a good save from the gk and then a player heading it off the line, it was a much much worse effort from our current hero Taylor who was presented with a completely free header just a few yards out and completely missed the target though. Credit to both for at least getting in a scoring position though.

Arry was very fair in his summing up too.

Very pleased with the point, the display and a good all round away day in London.

Thought Henley was exceptional today keeping hoillet quiet. Much better than Kane defensively. Dann also held the defence together well and seemed to be marshalling the other players.

Ben marshall whipped in a couple of great crosses and I can see him being an asset for us if he gets a run of games. He tired in the second half which I assume is due to lack of matches.

Thoughts arry's comments post match were fair too, surprisingly
