Put the tv on and I can't help but thinking Big Sam is in danger - west ham must have 3k fans at the game and he has picked a team full of kids. I for one would be well peeved if I'd spent my hard earned and my time only to be faced with that line up. If they go out he is going to get it in the neck

Made Nottm Forest look like Barcelona in that first-half.

It's ok he just brought on Blair Turgot

And has gone 2-0 down

Oh did I say two I meant 3!

By 3 what I actually really meant was 4!!!

As would i.

Second string or not this result does nobody at West Ham any favours. A heavy defeat against supposedly lesser opposition, just another dent in the confidence of players and fans.

It doesn't look good for Sam and I'm sure he can turn West Ham around when he gets all his injured players back but will the owners give him the time ?

This story could have a happy ending for us though. If he is sacked Venky's could undo their biggest mistake of all and re-hire him as Rovers manager.

What can you say? Very winnable game if we can defy the odds at the Etihaad.

Sam then came on for interview and hardly helped his cause with some unbelievably arrogant comments about his team selection saying he had no choice and had to pick a team to play Citeh on Wednesday and he was the managet and had to make decisions in the best interests of the Club etc.

A more contrite approach and an apology to the fans who travelled would have cost nothing and gone a long way. I'd be fuming if I were the owners.

Sam being arrogant and paying scant disregard to travelling supporters? Well I never.

By the way how much did he pay for Jarvis and Downing?

Allardyce picked the under 21's for this game due to the semi final midweek and his current injury crisis. I think most West Ham fans fancy the league cup over the FA so I think he'll survive for now.

Interesting comments from Roy Kean at the start of the game, something along the lines of:

"We've had Allardyces revolutionary sports science forced down our throtes for the past 10yrs, if its so revolutionary why all the injuries"

Good point Roy.
