Jim Royle Posted January 5, 2014 Posted January 5, 2014 Put the tv on and I can't help but thinking Big Sam is in danger - west ham must have 3k fans at the game and he has picked a team full of kids. I for one would be well peeved if I'd spent my hard earned and my time only to be faced with that line up. If they go out he is going to get it in the neck

Tyrone Shoelaces Posted January 5, 2014 Posted January 5, 2014 West Ham being totally out enthused at the moment. They look like they don't want to be there, or in the next round. Forest look a busy, well set up, hard working team, that's all you need to get out of this league. Hope they don't get a goalscorer before we play them.
Backroom Tom Posted January 5, 2014 Author Backroom Posted January 5, 2014 It's ok he just brought on Blair Turgot And has gone 2-0 down Oh did I say two I meant 3!
Moderation Lead K-Hod Posted January 5, 2014 Moderation Lead Posted January 5, 2014 Think Allardyce will be collecting his p45 soon. Injuries haven't helped him, but he's on borrowed time. Eek, now 4-0....
Backroom Tom Posted January 5, 2014 Author Backroom Posted January 5, 2014 It's ok he just brought on Blair Turgot And has gone 2-0 down Oh did I say two I meant 3! By 3 what I actually really meant was 4!!!

Second string or not this result does nobody at West Ham any favours. A heavy defeat against supposedly lesser opposition, just another dent in the confidence of players and fans.
Backroom Tom Posted January 5, 2014 Author Backroom Posted January 5, 2014 Bet Sam is glad this fixture was televised
RevidgeBlue Posted January 5, 2014 Posted January 5, 2014 Just thinking the same could'nt believe it when I turned on the TV and they were 4-0 down. Just having one of his "roll over and die" afternoons is surely is testing your owners patience to the limit when your League form is so poor as well.
Tyrone Shoelaces Posted January 5, 2014 Posted January 5, 2014 Mm, that's the sort of performance that gets manager sacked. The body language of the West Ham team was awful, reminded me of Rovers under Pinnochio on a bad day.
Moderation Lead K-Hod Posted January 5, 2014 Moderation Lead Posted January 5, 2014 It looked like he 'put the kids out', but he's been very unfortunate with injuries, I don't think he'll survive this.
jim mk2 Posted January 5, 2014 Posted January 5, 2014 It doesn't look good for Sam and I'm sure he can turn West Ham around when he gets all his injured players back but will the owners give him the time ? This story could have a happy ending for us though. If he is sacked Venky's could undo their biggest mistake of all and re-hire him as Rovers manager.
Backroom Tom Posted January 5, 2014 Author Backroom Posted January 5, 2014 Draw coming up For some reason I expect Man U or Swansea v Blackburn rovers or man city to come out
Stuart Posted January 5, 2014 Posted January 5, 2014 Hahahahahaahahahahahahahah hahahahahahaha hahahahahahahah hahahhaahahhahahahahah. Oh Jim.
perthblue02 Posted January 5, 2014 Posted January 5, 2014 Draw coming up For some reason I expect Man U or Swansea v Blackburn rovers or man city to come out surely they will be reserving a possible Manchester derby glamour $$$ TV tie for the semis?
Kie_BRFC Posted January 5, 2014 Posted January 5, 2014 Blackburn or man city vs Bristol City or Watford...
Backroom Tom Posted January 5, 2014 Author Backroom Posted January 5, 2014 Kind draw if we were to get through No real interesting games among them
Stuart Posted January 5, 2014 Posted January 5, 2014 Shame Cairney's effort didn't swing into that top corner. Another home tie against beatable opposition. Oh well.
RevidgeBlue Posted January 5, 2014 Posted January 5, 2014 What can you say? Very winnable game if we can defy the odds at the Etihaad. Sam then came on for interview and hardly helped his cause with some unbelievably arrogant comments about his team selection saying he had no choice and had to pick a team to play Citeh on Wednesday and he was the managet and had to make decisions in the best interests of the Club etc. A more contrite approach and an apology to the fans who travelled would have cost nothing and gone a long way. I'd be fuming if I were the owners.
darrenrover Posted January 5, 2014 Posted January 5, 2014 Perhaps that was Sam's intention? Life's a bitch, get potted and pocket another £5 million or so for the privelage.

Gav Posted January 5, 2014 Posted January 5, 2014 Allardyce picked the under 21's for this game due to the semi final midweek and his current injury crisis. I think most West Ham fans fancy the league cup over the FA so I think he'll survive for now. Interesting comments from Roy Kean at the start of the game, something along the lines of: "We've had Allardyces revolutionary sports science forced down our throtes for the past 10yrs, if its so revolutionary why all the injuries" Good point Roy.
