Proudtobeblue&white Posted December 8, 2013 Posted December 8, 2013 Well, a week of contrasting fortunes, started with a well earned win against Leeds, a horrible evening in the bum of England, and an angry GB ringing the changes and getting a result at QPR.....so what does that tell us? Precisely nothing, as we are anchored in mid-table, where the vast majority believe our proper place is, under the silent reign that is the Loons. Bit sick of Millwall last season to be honest, played them four times, came out worst twice, 2-0 reverse at Ewood, hopeless performance in the cup replay when we had done all the hard work at the Emirates, but coming out top at their place late in the day to secure our place in the Championship for this season. Formed in 1885, under the name Millwall Rovers, a stroppy letter from Blackburn's finest, made sure they got rid of their moniker in favour of the dominant force in English football! We've since played each other 32 times in the FL, Rovers winning 16, Millwall winning 9, and 7 draws. According to my "little boys book of silly football facts", Millwall are considered to be the 40th most successful club in their 86 seasons in the FL......ok for a small borough in South Bermondsey I suppose! Most famous recent player common to us, probably Lucas Neill, made 174 appearances for the lions, and 188 for us. He was a bit naughty at the end of his Rovers career, so has been banished into obscurity since, and according to my lbbosff, now turns out for the dirty yen in Japan. Our opponents lie 17th, and have a woeful GD of -14, the second worst in the league. Away form not good, and to be honest, a game we should and must win, bearing in mind our other fixtures in December. Let's hope GB continues his hard line.....Eastwood stays, but here's to a bit more flare at home, Dunny, Rochina figuring prominently. We need a good win.....will this be it? 3-1, and you know I'm crap at predictions! COYB's!

Salgado Is A Hero Posted December 8, 2013 Posted December 8, 2013 They're currently 17th, 3 points behind us. Away from home, they've won 1, drew 3 and lost 5......At home, we've won 6, drew 6 and lost 7. They've scored 8 on the road, and conceded 22, the 2nd highest in the league. They won their last game, 2-1 at home to Wigan, but that was only their 2nd win in the last 10 games, the other being a win at home to bottom of the league Barnsley. Steven Reid and Chris Taylor also played for both teams.

Mike Graham Posted December 9, 2013 Posted December 9, 2013 I'm betting on a 1v1 draw, Rovers getting 9 corners, and Dunny getting subbed after 60 minutes and 24 seconds. Odds please? Or should I ask "Golden Teeth" DJ?

Proudtobeblue&white Posted December 9, 2013 Author Posted December 9, 2013 Guessing DJ will be well away from the action come Saturday. Back to a crowd of 12,000, derision from the opposition as we don't have anyone booked, win 17-0, and Besty goes home in his new pink Ferrari.......you couldn't make it up!

bazza Posted December 9, 2013 Posted December 9, 2013 It'll be interesting to see how Chris Taylor performs against his old club for the first time. I hope GB keeps a similar formation to that at QPR and gets the lads wound up and raring to go. I also hope the great Forde has an off day too.
SoldierMo Posted December 10, 2013 Posted December 10, 2013 Dont forget that unbeatable defender SHITTU

FGS5635 Posted December 10, 2013 Posted December 10, 2013 Crikey. The most frustrating night of my life. See this DJ stuff even has you questioning that now. I mean it was without question the most retarded game plan I've ever seen a manager deploy. Did he have a tenner on a millwall win??
