T.J.Newton Posted December 10, 2013 Posted December 10, 2013 I also have a vague memory of there being some cheap toilet paper that had wood chips in it that gave you splinters! one of your first thoughts about school is how much the bog roll hurt your ass?asses and rovers seems a common theme today? you clearly never had to experience this stuff, otherwise you would understand.

Bucksrover Posted December 10, 2013 Posted December 10, 2013 Rovers have been associated with far bigger knobs in their recent history..Kean, Anderson, Shelfy, Agnew, Venkys, Murphy, Orr, Best etc. etc all beat Nixon by a mile I think he is on a par with a couple of those - he has been running us down for years.
T.J.Newton Posted December 10, 2013 Posted December 10, 2013 Strangely off topic.....urghh! well there has been 23 pages in 48 hours about an issue that has arisen but only a couple of actual facts are known about and the club itself hasn't even made any formal statement as far as i'm aware.
JMillZz Posted December 10, 2013 Author Posted December 10, 2013 Strangely off topic.....urghh! DJ Campbell is sh1t, he is clearly an ass and needs wiping off the payroll... We're pretty on topic if you ask me...
thenodrog Posted December 10, 2013 Posted December 10, 2013 Sale of Goods Act....... 'Not fit for purpose'. Izal never was fit for the purpose. I think any sort of defence would have been thrown out of court.
Brad Posted December 11, 2013 Posted December 11, 2013 Disgusting that the club has not made an official statement as yet, though would not expect anything less to be honest.
47er Posted December 11, 2013 Posted December 11, 2013 Disgusting that the club has not made an official statement as yet, though would not expect anything less to be honest. Totally agree, clueless.
Ricky Posted December 11, 2013 Posted December 11, 2013 Surely if they are taking advice from the FA then there's not a lot to say. Although saying that would obviously be a good start.
Brad Posted December 11, 2013 Posted December 11, 2013 Well said Ricky, it's not hard.. Just that they are aware of an on going investigation and will support player until charges are proven or vice versa.. FFS
Brad Posted December 11, 2013 Posted December 11, 2013 Let's just hope that these accusations haven't ruffled to many "feathers".
Bucksrover Posted December 11, 2013 Posted December 11, 2013 In the club's defence I don't think there has been a situation quite like this before, and if our lawyers are paid by the hour they won't be in a rush. Having 2 people running the whole club probably doesn't help either. This said I hope we hear soon.
Brad Posted December 11, 2013 Posted December 11, 2013 No defence Bucks mate.. There is no bloody excuse for a statement not being made, at least letting season ticket holders, supporters and sponsors knowing that charges have been laid and an investigation is on going.. Non league clubs got statements out pretty quick., Absolute ducking disgrace!!
Brad Posted December 11, 2013 Posted December 11, 2013 The statement doesn't require answers, just acknowledge it's taken place and that's it..
blueboy3333 Posted December 11, 2013 Posted December 11, 2013 Looks like we're stuck with him if the Daily Heil is to be believed:- http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-2521540/DJ-Campbell-sacked-Blackburn-Rovers-outcome-match-fixing-scandal.html
Stuart Posted December 11, 2013 Posted December 11, 2013 Was this statement that DJ had been arrested not enough, Brad? http://www.rovers.co.uk/news/article/club-statement-091213-1223996.aspx It acknowledged that it has taken place.
Brad Posted December 11, 2013 Posted December 11, 2013 Haha, cheers Stuart.. Wasn't aware of that mate, what was he arrested for?
Brad Posted December 11, 2013 Posted December 11, 2013 Surely it can't be rape charges, though we will make a statement over that!!
Brad Posted December 11, 2013 Posted December 11, 2013 Where's the mighty global advisor when you need him, sent in for one job and damn he did it will.. Certain people are still on there knees wiping up after he finished with them!!
Glosrover Posted December 11, 2013 Posted December 11, 2013 Sale of Goods Act....... 'Not fit for purpose'. Izal never was fit for the purpose. I think any sort of defence would have been thrown out of court. heard it described as the "John Wayne of toilet rolls"........long, strong and didn't take crap from anyone..........................
onlyonejackwalker Posted December 11, 2013 Posted December 11, 2013 Looks like we're stuck with him if the Daily Heil is to be believed:- http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-2521540/DJ-Campbell-sacked-Blackburn-Rovers-outcome-match-fixing-scandal.html £ 25,000.00 per week? Astounding.
Brad Posted December 11, 2013 Posted December 11, 2013 Be nice to see us grow a pair for a change, @#/? the lawyers stand him down without pay..
Guest Norbert Posted December 11, 2013 Posted December 11, 2013 Sale of Goods Act....... 'Not fit for purpose'. Izal never was fit for the purpose. I think any sort of defence would have been thrown out of court. Had to look that up. Izal is that toilet roll that is like tracing paper isn't it? I remember a school I went to that used that stuff. Pretty good metaphor for how Venky's have 'cleaned up their act' and straightened their mess out this season.
lraC Posted December 11, 2013 Posted December 11, 2013 £ 25,000.00 per week? Astounding. It's eye watering actually that we are paying players of this ilk, this amount of money. To my mind DJ Campbell has never been and never will be worth anywhere near that amount every week. We are supposed to have professional people, making decisions on this sort of thing and it beggars belief that anyone has seen anything in this particular player, to warrant this level of salary. What he has now allegedly done, just goes to show, how out of touch with reality some players are and how much contempt they have for the fans, who on the whole love and blindly follow their club. I am beginning to fall more out of love, with this 'sport' as each day passes.
Mr. E Posted December 11, 2013 Posted December 11, 2013 24 pages, really? The club is still under Venkys control, we are producing failure after failure in results, but people care about some mercenry and his actions in the past for other clubs?
