perthblue02 Posted April 3, 2014 Posted April 3, 2014 I'm with you here Perthy I hope this leads to a much bigger expose of the corruption in the game, which we all suspect (know) exists. Got to hope that the NCA are keeping HMRC in the loop because I think they would be quite happy to get their teeth into some people involved in football especially gains that have been diverted through various countries.

Majiball Posted April 3, 2014 Posted April 3, 2014 So I read that as, 7 more arrested plus the original 6 rearrested, 13 good grief this could be pretty big ! Greedy buggars !!!! if guilty. Don't you find it odd that Ronnie Moore of Tranmere gets charged by the FA for illegal betting and then this happens days later? Weren't two of the players arrested from Tranmere?
blue_n_white99 Posted April 3, 2014 Posted April 3, 2014 Got to hope that the NCA are keeping HMRC in the loop because I think they would be quite happy to get their teeth into some people involved in football especially gains that have been diverted through various countries. They often work in close liaison with HMRC, additionally they have their own financial specialists. Their remit is organised crime and as specialist support to regional police forces, their involvement would suggest serious, organised criminal activity. They are also the primary contact with overseas police forces and organisations, so I would be very surprised if these angles weren't covered. http://www.nationalcrimeagency.gov.uk/
arbitro Posted April 3, 2014 Posted April 3, 2014 If they are guilty then they should be banned for life. Some of these will be extremely well paid but greed takes over. And the mention of money laundering is a real worry. This could be a real can of worms and another nail in football's coffin.
Backroom Tom Posted April 3, 2014 Backroom Posted April 3, 2014 Martin Blackburn said no rovers players involved this time in the new lot, none from Burnley either

perthblue02 Posted April 3, 2014 Posted April 3, 2014 Never mind sack him? We should be looking to sue him. Can't see that happening , the club reward "going rogue" behaviour
Neil Weaver Posted April 3, 2014 Posted April 3, 2014 Wonder if Britain has an extradition agreement with Brunei?
West Yorks Rover Posted April 3, 2014 Posted April 3, 2014 Can't see that happening , the club reward "going rogue" behaviour Quite right, they won't want to bother suing anybody, too worried about what else might come out. Whatever happened with the Pune 'land grab' btw.

McClarky Posted April 17, 2014 Posted April 17, 2014 I would like to know which total balloon agreed the deal to bring DJC here. At the time he was rubbish so it was bad judgement then but looks even worse with everything that's gone on this year. What a club!
