frosty Posted December 21, 2013 Posted December 21, 2013 Important win - let's have another 6 points from the very winnable next two games. Who knows what 4 wins in a row would do for our confidence and belief.

bigbrandjohn Posted December 21, 2013 Posted December 21, 2013 ....all the way, oh what fun it is to see Rovers win away. Thanks for the early Christmas present. Reasonable hopes for the New Year just as long as Shebby doesn't burst out of some Christmas pudding somewhere in this hemisphere with a promotion strategy.
West Yorks Rover Posted December 21, 2013 Posted December 21, 2013 First back to back clean sheets away from home since April 2010. Builds confidence ! Have we turned the corner with our shocking away form ?
den Posted December 21, 2013 Posted December 21, 2013 Four points behind the play offs. Nearer than I thought.
West Yorks Rover Posted December 21, 2013 Posted December 21, 2013 Well done lads and all those who travelled down, hell of a way to go just before xmas. Great result and excellent performance by the sounds of it, Yeovil were unbeaten in 4 before today.
Proudtobeblue&white Posted December 21, 2013 Author Posted December 21, 2013 Fantastic support, well done all that went. I hope with a few of the faithful home at Christmas we have a good crowd on Thursday......momentum is key. It's all very tight, Derby on a roll, bloody Dingles keep winning, we really need to keep Ewood secure. Couple of big home games.....
onlyonejackwalker Posted December 21, 2013 Posted December 21, 2013 Very pleasing result, away win, clean sheet and I'm really chuffed for the travelling fans. Credit to all involved. It was always going to take time for so many new players to feel part of things and I'm hopeful most will have settled going into the new year.
T.J.Newton Posted December 21, 2013 Posted December 21, 2013 I see Rochina replaced Dunn around about the hour mark, How/what did he do? 4 points of the play-offs now, hopefully another 3 points against shef weds and then if we can get something from leeds on new years day it could maybe just about sneak us into the top 6.

It was always going to take time for so many new players to feel part of things and I'm hopeful most will have settled going into the new year. Great win..Congratulations. After missing so many chances the players held their nerve. I listened to the first half and then had to out for no other reason than the fact that I couldn't cope anymore. I did fear the usual script. Anyway, God's punishment for my faint heart came about 5.00, in the shape of one of my kids. Hecame up to me in town and said " Guess what. Bloody typical. 1-0 Yeovil last minute!" He left me in despair for what seemed like an eternity before finally liberating me... COYB!
USABlue Posted December 21, 2013 Posted December 21, 2013 Four points behind the play offs. Nearer than I thought. Easy big fella, we were 4 points off under Appleton too. We all know what happened next.

Birmingham at home next Sun before Leeds. Need to cope with Zigic, I just remember Crouch too many times against us, bit worried !
T.J.Newton Posted December 21, 2013 Posted December 21, 2013 Birmingham at home next Sun before Leeds. Need to cope with Zigic, I just remember Crouch too many times against us, bit worried ! doh! how did I miss that, Well if we can turn this little run into a big run, it could be a very good start to the new year. (and if we can get Cairney signed up and Evans back fully fit, even better)
rovers11 Posted December 21, 2013 Posted December 21, 2013 7 points from 3 games, two consecutive away clean sheets, two wins in a row and 4 points off the playoffs. I'd take that at this stage of the season. An added bonus was that only 3 teams in the top 11 won today - us, Burnley and Leicester - so we made up some good ground on the team's above us. Bowyer deserves so much credit. He gets a lot of stick when we lose so he deserves a lot of praise when we win. After leaking goals away from home he has really tightened things up. Our attacking play has also come on leaps and bounds in recent games, it looks so fluid, interchangeable and, ultimately, very dangerous. Creating lots of chances and keeping it tight as the back is a recipe for success and Bowyer seems to have that balance just right. Some people will say we should be beating teams like millwall and Yeovil and, yes, we should but how many times over the past 3 years have we lost to teams we `should` beat? A lot!

T.J.Newton Posted December 21, 2013 Posted December 21, 2013 I think this very busy period could make or break a few clubs that are currently above us or around us, due to most of them having smaller or weaker squads.

Bowyer deserve a huge credit for changes tactics and improve the team and the squad is gelling, a lot of fans said it would take time to gel this squad. Last season under Kean, Berg or Appleton, we would have lost this game. Very pleasing result, away win, clean sheet and I'm really chuffed for the travelling fans. Credit to all involved. Neal Posted December 21, 2013 Posted December 21, 2013 Need to cope with Zigic, I just remember Crouch too many times against us, bit worried ! Zigic is the biggest crock of sh*t in the Championship. Any back 4 or keeper should be ashamed if he scores against them... DONKEY.

Wish you had'nt said that ! You know what will happen now. I don't rate the fella either but has to be said he's scored 29 in 64 league games for Brum, but only 4 this Season.

Backroom DE. Posted December 21, 2013 Backroom Posted December 21, 2013 who was in goal? any good? Eastwood, beaten a couple of times but saved by the post and bar. He didn't have too much to do tbh.
SIMON GARNERS 194 Posted December 21, 2013 Posted December 21, 2013 Good result and needed! Counts for nothing if we can't beat a p!ss poor Wednesday side on Boxing day though. CRACK ON ROVERS!
G Somerset Rover Posted December 21, 2013 Posted December 21, 2013 Eastwood, beaten a couple of times but saved by the post and bar. He didn't have too much to do tbh.He made two cracking saves. One over the bar was in particularly stunning. Will post more tomorrow but just to say delighted with the win. Made more special by seeing the glum look on the faces of my Yeovil supporting mates. Long night ahead for them!
